No âmbito do Projeto JOIN, o
A criatividade encontra livre expressão no universo lúdico do jogo.
metodológica do Projeto JOIN. The main goal which motivates this research is the hope to contribute to the diffusion and systematization of the innovation activity in micro, small and medium size (SME) companies in Brazil.
This thesis discusses the methodological approach integrated in a new innovation management technology named JOIN - Jogo da Inovação (innovation game), which is being developed in Instituto Euvaldo Lodi – IEL/BA, sponsored by the Public Announcement MCT/FINEP/Ação transversal PRÓ-INOVA – Núcleo de Apoio à Gestão da Inovação – 11/2012. The real challenge of the JOIN Project is not its conceptual content, since there is a dense body of knowledge concerning the critical
components of innovation management, but its language and application method, barriers which have been faced by analogous technologies. The method refers not only to how to implant JOIN in the
organizational environment, but also to how to make it work in the everyday life of the company. To define the methodological approach, we started from the belief that innovation is a creative activity in essence. Since it is important to stimulate creativity to make innovation happen in the company, it seemed necessary to include the creativity component in the technology for it to deliver value as an
organizational innovation. Creativity expresses itself freely in the fields of play. Exploring the universe of play, we built Project JOIN methodological approach. In this thesis, we discuss the potentials of such approach to the effective diffusion and systematization of innovation in Brazilian SME.

This study aimed to analyze the model entitled Management of Business Technology socio-educational (TESE) deployed in the state of Ceará. Since the 1990s, the Brazilian education in the context of public schools, has undergone constant changes, especially with regard to school management. The relevance of this study is in discussions made about the paradigm shift from the static model of school management for the dynamic model , which enables the manager a more conscious action in favor of building a democratic public school and social quality. The methodology was qualitative and case study (semi-structured interview with scripts - non-probability convenience sample composed of five managers , as well as questionnaire applied to other managers of such a network on the perception of respondents about the adoption of THESIS while management model of EEEPs) . In addition, for the purposes of research , in addition to qualitative treatment were used, also, the following instruments: bibliographic and documentary research; and questionnaires ( from where he obtained mathematical , statistical , quantitative and analytical ) . The theoretical framework was constructed in the light of the authors of propositions such as Burgos (2012) discuss the process of massification and transformation of public schools ; Lück (2000, 2009 , 2011) , Machado (2010) emphasize the school of design change and the transition between the management models, Mitzenberg (2010) proposes the generic model management, among others who are dedicated to studying about it on screen. From the data analysis , we realized the need to revitalize and re-adaptation of this model to take account of some specific demands of the reality of EEEPs aiming thus strengthening the management practice through a more qualified action to face the challenges posed the management of these schools. Therefore , at the end we designed a Educational Action Plan (SAP).

Salvador

The emotional side of breakthrough innovationCollins, Matt January 2015 (has links)
Breakthrough innovations are vital for the global economy and even our survival as a species. They appear as creative leaps and insights without obvious connection to existing knowledge and are extremely valuable to organisations, giving them significant competitive advantage. Historiometric and psychopathological evidence shows that breakthrough innovations are often associated with individuals and affective dysfunction; yet innovation today is widely held to be an organisational phenomenon operationalised though a model of creativity based on positive affective experiences and group activities which may be particularly unsuited to innovative thinkers. Research upon which the current paradigm for creativity and innovation are based is detached from real world outcomes and has been challenged as to its validity. Little data exists outside of experiments or indirect observation of naturally occurring affective experiences and the mood-creativity-innovation link has yet to be proven; we still know very little about how breakthrough innovations occur. This unique study addresses this significant gap in innovation research with a two-year longitudinal case study of a breakthrough innovation being developed for a multi-national Fast-Moving Consumer Goods company. It followed the journey of a lone innovator and attempts to answer the research question: “Can a fear of failure lead to breakthrough innovation?” The innovation space was investigated from three perspectives: technology, organisation and innovator, to build a picture of the highly immersive and emotionally charged experience of innovating. Many new insights were gained, and with extensive support from literature, new tools for the management of technology and the interface between innovators and organisations were developed, along with ground-breaking research into the mood-creativity innovation link. These are delivered through a series of four journal papers. The key finding from this research has been the discovery of the innovation-wave, a phenomenon which for the first time provides evidence for the mood-creativity-innovation link; intimately connecting real-world creative efficacy with emotion and specifically a ‘fear of failure’. From this finding a new theory and psycho-cognitive model for a distinct form of creativity called innovative thinking, driven by negative affect (mood) and specifically suited to achieving a breakthrough innovation through overcoming apparently insoluble problems, was posited and a hypothesis proposed and tested using a sophisticated innovation simulation developed especially for this purpose. Evidence from the case study and later experiment provide support for the research question and the lone innovator. This study makes a unique contribution to our understanding of creativity and innovation which could have a significant impact on how both are researched, taught and managed in the future. Being able to understand and possibly manipulate the innovation-wave, if proven correct, could be vitally important for maximising the potential for creating breakthrough innovations to the benefit of us all.

On solving the view selection problem in distributed data warehouse architecturesLehner, Wolfgang, Bauer, Andreas 02 June 2022 (has links)
The use of materialized views in a data warehouse installation is a common tool to speed up mostly aggregation queries. The problems coming along with materialized aggregate views have triggered a huge variety of proposals, such as picking the optimal set of aggregation combinations, transparently rewriting user queries to take advantage of the summary data, or synchronizing pre-computed summary data as soon as the base data changes. The paper focuses on the problem of view selection in the context of distributed data warehouse architectures. While much research was done with regard to the view selection problem in the central case, we are not aware to any other work discussing the problem of view selection in distributed data warehouse systems. The paper proposes an extension of the concept of an aggregation lattice to capture the distributed semantics. Moreover, we extend a greedy-based selection algorithm based on an adequate cost model for the distributed case. Within a performance study, we finally compare our findings with the approach of applying a selection algorithm locally to each node in a distributed warehouse environment.
