No. of bitstreams: 1 000429591-Texto+Completo-0.pdf: 1086339 bytes, checksum: af9671d65231fdf5a83a4e2639251f6c (MD5) Previous issue date: 2011 / This work contextualizes the processes of rehabilitation and social inclusion of people institutionalized in the Forensic Psychiatric Institution in the city of Porto Alegre/RS whose security measures have been already fulfilled. The survey was carried out with patients who had left the Institution and have been experiencing the processes of organizing their lives outside its walls. The indication of the participants was made by the members of an Inter-institutional Working Group (GT) set in September 2007 by the Prosecution of Human Rights and Judiciary, which assessed emblematic cases or those which were necessary to enlarge the reflexive and dialogic processes for an effective monitoring. The assumptions of the Brazilian Psychiatric Reform and the National Policy of Humanization were used to guide the discussion of the results obtained. From interviews, documents produced by the GT, and the field diary elaborated in the course of the investigation it was established the corpus for the analyses related to the theme. Among the results, it may be highlighted issues such as institutionalization, institutional violence, double stigma – mental illness associated with the crime, violation of rights and obstacles of life inside and outside judiciary asylums. Such themes show the scars that the fulfillment of the security measure has provoked on the lives of the subjects. However, it also appears in their narratives some perspectives of new life projects. They manifest the wish of social inclusion without the restriction of freedom and, therefore, far from the asylum walls. / Esta dissertação problematiza os processos de reabilitação e inclusão social de pessoas institucionalizadas, com extinção de medida de segurança cumprida no Instituto Psiquiátrico Forense de Porto Alegre/RS. A pesquisa foi realizada com os pacientes, após a saída do Instituto, e que têm experienciado processos de organização de suas vidas fora dos muros da instituição. A indicação dos participantes foi feita pelos integrantes do Grupo de Trabalho Interinstitucional (GT), instituído em setembro de 2007 pela Promotoria de Direitos Humanos e Judiciário, que avaliou os casos emblemáticos, ou aqueles nos quais se fez necessário ampliar os processos reflexivos e dialógicos para dar seguimento ao acompanhamento efetivado. Foram utilizados os pressupostos da Reforma Psiquiátrica e da Política Nacional de Humanização para nortear a discussão acerca dos resultados obtidos. A partir de entrevistas, de documentos produzidos pelo referido GT e do diário de campo elaborado no decorrer do processo de investigação estabeleceu-se o corpus para as análises referentes ao tema. Dentre os resultados destacam-se temas como a institucionalização, a violência institucional, o duplo estigma – doença mental associada ao delito – violação de direitos e entraves da vida dentro e fora do manicômio judiciário. Tais temas evidenciam as marcas que o tempo de cumprimento da medida de segurança provocou nas vidas dos participantes da pesquisa. Entretanto, também aparecem nas narrativas, perspectivas de projetos de vida, nas quais ocorre a manifestação de desejos de outro modo de inserção social, sem a restrição da liberdade e, portanto, longe dos muros manicomiais.

Para tanto, foram consultados escritores que apresentaram em suas obras registros da demência, tratada segundo as concepções das diferentes épocas e dos contextos sociais e culturais em que se inseriam. Buscaram-se exemplares da literatura em que diversos critérios nortearam os diagnósticos de loucura, bem como o tratamento realizado. Considerando-se o papel da ficção ao apresentar a realidade temática, Machado de Assis, com o conto O Alienista, Guimarães Rosa com os contos “Sorôco, sua mãe e sua filha” e “Darandina” e Erasmo de Rotterdam com a obra: O Elogio da Loucura, que constituíram-se como rica fonte de reflexão e análise. Numa proposta interdisciplinar, foram solicitados para a fundamentação teórico-literária Alfredo Bosi, Antônio Candido, Affonso Romano Sant‟Anna, Bastos e Mikhail Bakhtin. Da literatura científica, buscaram-se as contribuições de Foucault, Amarante, Jung, Freud, Miranda e Canguilhem, Goffman e outros que trataram do tema da loucura, nas mais diversas nuances, dando consistência às percepções decorrentes deste estudo. / This research aimed to reflect on different ways of approaching the theme of madness in fictional and scientific literatures. Therefore, writers had been consulted on their deeds records of dementia, treated according to the concepts of different ages and social and cultural contexts in which they operated. We sought copies of literature in which several criteria guided the diagnosis of madness, as well as treatment. Considering the role of fiction to present the reality theme, Machado de Assis, with the story O Alienista, Guimarães Rosa with tales "Soroco, sua mãe e sua filha" and "Darandina" and Erasmus de Rotterdam with the work: O Elogio da Loucura, which were as rich source of reflection and analysis.
