Para chegar a essa análise, faz-se um estudo da metonímia, partindo de um breve panorama das perspectivas teóricas nas quais ela pode ser estudada. Assim, verificam-se a sistematicidade e os contextos de ocorrência desse processo, bem como os critérios lingüísticos e pragmáticos envolvidos na sua definição, o que resulta na delimitação do tipo de enunciado a ser investigado - estou estacionado - para o qual se tem tradicionalmente atribuído uma análise pragmática. Como aporte teórico à pesquisa, destacam-se Pustejovsky (1995) e Jackendoff (2002). O primeiro trata a polissemia lógica baseado no Léxico Gerativo, que combina os níveis de representação lexical com os mecanismos gerativos responsáveis pela explicação de novos sentidos. O segundo trata os casos de metoníma não convencionalizada como um processo de composição enriquecida, por meio do qual se representa a parte contextualizada do enunciado na estrutura conceitual. Propondo uma aproximação entre os dois autores, os dados lingüísticos selecionados são analisados como um mecanismo de coerção de tipo, cuja formalização mais abrangente é a composição enriquecida, enfatizando a relação de posse como a relação que viabiliza tal coerção. Desse modo, os exemplos são categorizados pelas especificidades encontradas nessa relação de posse, cujas explicações estão embasadas na Estrutura de Qualia da TLG, assumindo-se assim uma análise léxico-conceptual para os casos de metonímia estudados This study, whose object of investigation is metonymy, aims at analyzing the non-conventionalized cases of this process from the standpoint of Generative Lexicon Theory (GLT). In order to outline the analysis, a study on metonymy was carried out, starting out from a brief overview of the theoretical perspectives from which it can be viewed. Thus, both the systematicity and the contexts of occurrence of the process were examined, as well as the linguistic and pragmatic criteria involved in its definition, which results in the delimitation of the type of utterance to be investigated - I am parked - which has been traditionally given a pragmatic analysis. Pustejovsky (1995) and Jackendoff (2002) stand out as theoretical background supporting the research. The former addresses logical polysemy based on Generative Lexicon, which combines the levels of lexical representation and the generative mechanisms that account for the explanation of new meanings. The former approaches the cases of non-conventionalized metonymy as an enriched composition process through which the contextualized part of the utterance is represented in the conceptual structure. By proposing an approximation of both authors, the selected linguistic data are analyzed as a type coercion mechanism, where the more comprehensive formalization is the enriched composition, with emphasis on the relation of ownership as the relation that makes such coercion possible. Therefore, the examples are categorized according to the particularities found in this relation of ownership, whose explanations are grounded on the GLT Qualia Structure, where a lexical conceptual analysis was decided on for the cases of metonymy under investigation.

Por essa razão, objetiva-se, com esta pesquisa, analisar contrastivamente as metáforas e/ou metonímias subjacentes às EIs italianas e a seus correspondentes tradutórios em língua portuguesa (PB), para averiguar em que medida essa premissa se confirma. Baseamo-nos fundamentalmente em Zuluaga (1980), Lakoff e Johnson (1980; 2002), Gibbs (1994), Tonfoni e Turbinati (1995), Corpas Pastor (1996), Jorge (1997, 2001), Xatara (1998), Kövecses (2005, 2010) e Malho (2010). Foram selecionadas, em dicionários monolíngues, aproximadamente 160 Expressões Idiomáticas italianas provenientes de 49 lexias relacionadas ao vestuário, elaboradas suas definições, coletados exemplos de uso na web e, a partir disso, realizada a análise dos tipos de equivalência e a investigação das possíveis motivações que lhes deram origem. Como produto final do nosso estudo, foi elaborado um repertório lexicográfico de EIs relativas à indumentária que pode ser útil para suprir lacunas nos idiomas italiano e português, no que tange a materiais bilíngues de EIs. Therefore, the aim of this thesis is to conduct a contrastive analysis between metaphors and metonymies that underlie Italian Idioms and their translational correspondents in Portuguese, to investigate to what extent this premise may be confirmed. This inquiry is primarily based on Zuluaga (1980), Lakoff and Johnson (1980, 2002), Gibbs (1994), Tonfoni and Turbinati (1995), Corpas Pastor (1996), George (1997, 2001), Xatara (1998), Kövecses (2005, 2010) and Malho (2010). Approximately 160 Italian idioms derived from 49 lexical items related to clothing. They were selected from Italian monolingual dictionaries, furthermore their definitions were provided and usage examples were collected from web. After that, an analysis of types of equivalence as well as an investigation of possible motivations that gave rise to them were performed. As a final product of our study, an inventory of clothing-related idioms was produced which intends to fill some gaps in Italian and Portuguese languages in regard to bilingual material on idioms. A motivação para esta pesquisa é identificar a presença desses processos nos textos produzidos pelos candidatos e como fornecer ao aluno recursos para que ele interprete uma proposta de texto metafórica e produza textos explorando a força argumentativa da metáfora e da metonímia. O corpus utilizado foi uma amostra com algumas redações da Fuvest e do ENEM. A pesquisa foi realizada sob a perspectiva da Linguística Cognitiva, especialmente, com ênfase nas operações mentais complexas como Leitura e Memória; Espaços Mentais; Categorização e Teoria dos Protótipos; Analogia; Metáfora e Metonímia; Integração Conceptual. / Abstract: In this work, we propose a discussion about the presence of images, especially the metaphor and metonymy in compositions written by candidates of the Fuvest and ENEM tests, as well as the occurrence of images in a writing proposal. The motivation for this research is to identify the presence of these processes in the texts produced by the candidates and how to provide to the student resources for them to interpret a metaphorical proposal for the text and produce texts exploring the argumentative force of metaphor and metonymy. The corpus used was a sample with some writing from Fuvest and ENEM. The research was carried out from the perspective of Cognitive Linguistics, with especial emphasis on complex mental operations such as Reading and Memory; Mental Spaces; Categorization and Theory of Prototypes; Analogy; Metaphor and Metonymy; Conceptual Integration. / Mestre
