Vliv kultury na politiku Mexika

Burešová, Alena January 2006 (has links)

Šnobrová, Jitka January 2010 (has links)
The purpose of this Master's thesis is to analyse the image of Mexico in the media of the United States in the first half of 2010. First, the author gives an overview of selected media theories and describes the specifics of the U.S. media market. On the sample of the three media (El Paso Times, New York Times and Fox News) she analyses how were the U.S. media referring about Mexico and its citizens. She is validating hypotheses, which she based on characteristics of each of analysed media. She comes to a conclusion that reporting about Mexico varies among the selected media, which reflects specifics of each of them. In conclusion, she is applying some of the media theories presented in the first chapter. She finds that CNN effect and framing occur. Additionally, she argues that Baudrillard's simulacrum also appears.

Mexiko - strategický partner EU v Latinské Americe (stav, problémy a budoucnost vztahů) / Mexico – strategic partner of the EU in Latin America (situation, problems and future of the relations)

Novák, Ondřej January 2010 (has links)
The goal of the thesis "Mexico -- strategic partner of the EU in Latin America (situation, problems and future of the relations)" is the analysis of mutual relations of the European Union and the United States of Mexico on the basis of the Agreement on Economic Partnership, Political Coordination and Cooperation (Global Agreement). The first part of the thesis deals with historical development of relations EU -- Mexico in the context of european-latinamerican relations. The term strategic partnership and the motives of both partners for closer cooperation are defined. The Agreement is analysed as well. In the second part, the relations, three pillars of the Agreement are analysed. Text deals with trade, political dialogue format and with a lot of programs and projects of development cooperation. In the third part there is a final synthesis of information received. The current situation of relations is described, as well as successes achieved during eleven years of the Agreement and problems impeding more intensive development of their relations. A particular attention is payed to dialogue with the civil society which is considered insufficient. On the basis of information obtained the author tries to estimate possible future development of the relations EU -- Mexico. The first hypothesis claiming that the Global Agreement hasn't reached its potential was proved. The second hypothesis claiming that in spite of intensive development of the relations EU -- Mexico in the last decade, the United States of America persistently and undoubtedly dominate especially in the external economic relations of Mexico was proved as well. It means, Mexico wasn't able to diversificate these relations to such extent so as to reduce dominant position of the USA in this context.

Legalizace marihuany jako způsob řešení drogového konfliktu v Mexiku

Toufar, Daniel January 2016 (has links)
This thesis deals with the topic of marijuana legalization as a possible way of resolving the conflict in Mexico. The paper uses demand and supply methods to estimate the size of the drug market, a comparative analysis of existing studies dealing with this issue and analyze the available indicators to determine the success of repressive strategies. The main objective is to determine the possible impact of legalizing marijuana on revenue of Mexican cartels, the level of violence in the country, and finally the social implications that are associated with it. The paper also outlines the historical development of a global approach to the drug problem with a particular emphasis on the evolution of the political discourse on the issue of legalization in the US and Mexico which have been sharing the consequences associated with drug trafficking.

Sällqvist, Linnea January 2017 (has links)
