It intends, with this, to offer a contribution to the current studies of memory, culture and gender in the history of the Brazilian Education. This paper is based upon the presupposes of the New Cultural History, specifically in the interrelation between non-formal education, cultural practices and gender. It is also based upon the oral History, supported by the memory field, theoretical basis which give support to the understanding as to how the subjects reconstitute, by the quotidian history, the different ways of living the familiar, educative, occupational, leisure and sexual, among other habitual activities. Its main research source is the oral narratives, obtained through recorded interviews and transcribed with the finality of the oral document production. The subjects of this investigative paper are three representative characters of three generations of female chinaware makers of the same family, who have acted as recorders and contributors, being: a young lady (26), an adult (50) and an elderly (63). The categories: family, education, profession, moral and ethical principles and the meanings of the woman being have guided the analytical process. On this direction, the analysis of the interviews have showed that the social, cultural and educational practices of the female chinaware makers happened and still do in the identity construction continuous process of the meanings do the woman being by the function occupied by each individual, specifically, the concrete way of life of each woman, by the representations inscribed in these practices, such representations which move the relations men/women and give light to the ideas and to the concepts of cultural diversity to which all the country permeates. / Este trabalho dissertativo tem como objetivo principal investigar, a partir da memória de mulheres louceiras, como as práticas sociais, culturais e educacionais incidiram/incidem para a construção da identidade dos sentidos do ser mulher, na Associação das Loiceiras, no bairro São José na cidade de Cajazeiras Paraíba. Pretende, com isto, oferecer uma contribuição aos atuais estudos de memória, cultura e de gênero na História da Educação Brasileira. Para tanto, fundamenta-se, nos pressupostos da Nova História Cultural, especificamente, na interrelação entre educação não-formal, práticas culturais e gênero. Fundamenta-se, também, na História oral, apoiada no campo da memória, bases teóricas que dão sustentação ao entendimento de como os sujeitos reconstituem, pela história cotidiana, os diferentes modos de viver o familiar, o educativo, o ocupacional, o lazer e o sexual, entre outras atividades habituais. Sua principal fonte de pesquisa são as narrativas orais, obtidas a partir de entrevistas gravadas e transcritas com a finalidade da produção do documento oral. Os sujeitos deste trabalho investigativo são três personagens representativas de três gerações de mulheres louceiras da mesma família, que atuaram como recordadoras e colaboradoras, sendo: uma jovem (26), uma adulta (50) e uma idosa (63). As categorias: família, educação, profissão, princípios morais e éticos e os sentidos do ser mulher nortearam o processo analítico. Nesta direção, a análise das entrevistas mostrou que as práticas sociais, culturais e educacionais das mulheres louceiras incidiram e ainda incidem na construção da identidade processo contínuo dos sentidos do ser mulher pela função ocupada por cada indivíduo, especificamente, o modo de vida concreto de cada mulher, pelas representações inscritas nestas práticas, representações estas que movimentam as relações homens/mulheres e dão luz às ideias e aos conceitos da diversidade cultural a qual permeia todo o país.
