Silva, Emilly Fidelix da January 2017 (has links)
Dissertação (mestrado) - Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, Centro de Filosofia e Ciências Humanas, Programa de Pós-Graduação em História, Florianópolis, 2017. / Made available in DSpace on 2017-07-25T04:11:04Z (GMT). This study proposes to analyze procedurally the personal archive of the writer Clarice Lispector. The conditions of production of the archive are investigated from the phase of registration and document accumulation until the entry into the institutions of knowledge and memory that guarded it: the Instituto Moreira Salles and the Fundação Casa de Rui Barbosa. Recognized at the end of her life, especially in our last decade, the writer, who was once considered "hermetic" by her contemporary critics, is now the source of countless researches. In this work, their roles are problematized as social constructs, mediators of memory, source and object of knowledge, power devices and objects of symbolic exchange. The analysis explores the way its archive was composed and accumulated, as well as its circulation routes and the exchanges that took part in two distinct moments, separated by the death of the file owner in 1977. From the first moment it is important to highlight three aspects that intervene directly to the physical constitution of the whole: the link between documentary production and the author's creative process, the links of accumulation (or lack thereof) with the way Clarice interpreted her intellectual activity, and finally the relation of the archive to its trajectory of life. From the second moment, we discussed the entry of this type of archive in the disciplinary fields of History and Literary Studies, as well as the insertion of Clarice's archive in the memory of brazilian literature, based on the investments of a group of intellectuals and heirs in their patrimonialization.

García, Dina Susana Mazariegos 25 October 2012 (has links)
This dissertation aims to develop how economical, political and socio-cultural issues have given way to the constitution and emergence of discursive practices of ten intellectual Mayas, interviewed in this work. Furthermore, it provides evidence of how the subjectivity, objectivity and the diverse strategies of resistance and transgression of these women played a fundamental role in the construction of their trajectories. These strategies resulted in a profound personal transformation and set examples for future generations of Mayan women and the Guatemalan society in general. As a starting point, I have adopted the life stories of these ten women, to explain the background of the extreme violence that women face on a daily basis in Guatemala. These narrations reveal the relation of power, based on Michel Foucault.s theory, which unveil how force is used as a means of imposition, discipline and control of individuals through ideological apparatuses, bureaucracy and war. These power relations and their diverse forms of expression will be highlighted by focusing on gender, class and ethnicity in order to understand the already present connections these women have between identity and their political and intellectual works. Epistemologically, feminist anthropology is the axis that guides this ethnographical journey, as the methodological and theoretical tool becomes visible the place of the women. It also focuses on the question of subjectivity and the meaning of individual, academic and collective experiences of the women in question. Equally, in the methodology of this dissertation, I will revise the #Genealogy and Archaeology of knowledge# theories of Foucault, which will help to establish the necessity for discursive practices. To further attain this goal, the qualitative method will give emphasis to the study of social processes. #Life histories and testimonies# will be used as part of this methodological strategy. Therefore, it is worth mentioning that ethnography here is not only thought of through skill, but with articulation of empirical and theoretical facts which allow to create, in the final part of the dissertation, with an anthropological text. The importance of this study on indigenous women further strengthens the necessity of daily resistance and transgression from ritual, political, intellectual, territorial, social, ethnological and religious spaces. Finally, it is important to note that the protagonists of this work progress under a dominant and neoliberal system. They have emerged with a series of discursive practices, with which they propose and participate in the construction of a more equal society. Therefore, they are able to enrich and transform the symbolical, political and social content of indigenous women in Guatemala, and in this sense, of indigenous women around the world. Intellectual women Mayas, as is mentioned by Edward Said (1996), demystify, criticize and always remain alert to the manipulation of power, and above all, fight for the intellectual independence, be it privately or publicly, of where they permanently appear. This dissertation aims to develop how economical, political and socio-cultural issues have given way to the constitution and emergence of discursive practices of ten intellectual Mayas, interviewed in this work. / The intellectual trajectory of public employee and writer Leonor Castellano (1899-1969) is the thread of this work, which aims to investigate the spaces of actuation of female intellectuals in Curitiba (Paraná) between the decades of 20 and 60 of the 20th Century. The discussions about the topics of "brazilian" and "paranaense" identities are threads of this work and appear strongly by the actions of Castellano as intellectual between 1924 (the year in which she published her first known article) and 1969 (the year she finishes her activities). The Castellano#s performance in intellectual curitibanos circles (such as the Center of Letters of Paraná and the Paranaense Female Culture Center) is studied closely, as well as its collaboration with publications. Themes such as "feminism", the child care, the idea of identity (national and state) and the roles assigned to women are discussed through the texts of Castellano, especially the tributes published by her. Other sources used in dissertation are the reports and journals published by literary centers, in addition to books of minutes, accounting and others, which allow us to understand the different areas of expertise in Castellano. Through the trajectory of this intellectual and of her leadership role in literary Centers of Curitiba, this study sought to explore also the spaces of public activity of literate and elite women in Paraná during the studied period.

Intellectual paths among women: academia and conjugality from four perspectives Things that are closer to us may often evade from our anthropological outlook, either for their complexity or for their "plainness". Thus this dissertation focuses, trough the lifes and narratives of four intelectual women from the field of human sciences, married with intelectual partners, how academia and conjugality combine throughout their careers. As we follow their testimonies and life stories important questions related to gender studies and studies of the intellectual milieu arise: what are the terms for the output of women academics in Brazil along the last 50 years? What are the conjugality patterns that emerge within these life stories? Here I take the time to reflect about the conditions for female intellectual labor, conjugality in middle class and highly educated environments, everyday life and academic competition, marital naming and renaming and its relations with the prosecution of an authorial work. Lastly, this enterprise falls into a strand of feminist studies which seeks to acknowledge intellectual and professional stories of women, as to propose to our canonical histories new lineages and possibilities of filiation.

This research approaches the silencing of Brazilian black intelligentsia, considering silencing as a set of strategies to repress black men and women, which are recognized and recognize themselves as intellectuals of the black population in Brazil. Black intellectuals is reffered here as a social group formed by a subordinate class with the intention of making themselves experts and organizers of the black people. The black intelligentsia also refers to a discursive unit whose evidence reveals an expertise in spoken or written utterances. In order to elucidate these issues, the intellectual trajectory of Maria Beatriz Nascimento is analysed, whose contribution can be expressed in terms of utterance of an interpretation of Brazil. Utterance means any series of signs, figures, graphics or features. The utterance occurs whenever a set of statements is expressed under the real conditions of their enunciation.
