It certifies that the mystery is the manifestation of the sacred for the human being knowledge. Nevertheless, this research concludes that the human being unites to the divine from the knowledge of the revelation of the mystery. Tillich says that the existential knowledge is based on an encounter in which a new meaning is created and recognized. The revelation of the mystery is an existential knowledge and its manifestation in the human bearer of revelation comes to know another person, he knows his history and participates in the reality in which the mystery is revealed in its totality. The mystery is the manifestation of the sacred, for that its revelation causes profound changes in the human being. In Tillich s Systematic Theology the mystery is described as a mark of revelation, its first mark. However as we approach to the text we see that the mystery is more than a mark to Tillich, the mystery is the manifestation of the ground of being, the mystery is the manifestation of the divine that communicates symbolically to the human being from the final revelation of Jesus as the Christ.

Mistério e alteridade : reflexões sobre o Sagrado na obra de Borges / Mystery and otherness : considerations of Sacrate in the work of Borges

Abboud, Marcella, 1989- 23 August 2018 (has links)
Orientador: Suzi Frankl Sperber / Dissertação (mestrado) - Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Instituto de Estudos da Linguagem / Made available in DSpace on 2018-08-23T01:26:47Z (GMT). Para alcançarmos tal desiderato, tomaremos como objeto de análise os contos La Biblioteca de Babel, La Escritura del Dios, Tlön, Uqbar, OrbiusOrbius Tertius, El Aleph e Los Teólogos / Abstract: Jorge Luis Borges made the same purpose with numerous areas of knowledge: to build a fictional reality. With some topical from sacred, it was not different; the Argentine author appropriated them to build much of their narratives. His intention, however, was not just an aesthetic work. Borges purposed understanding of something bigger: the understanding of the mystery. There were a lot of references, especially the Judeo-Christian. There was a remarkable predilection for mystical and marginal literature, which reflects a very relevant aspect of his work, namely a predisposition and a remarkable respect for otherness. Then, we scoped in this study to scrutinize the movements established by Borges and how he realizes his primary purpose: the sacred aestheticize to ensure the strength of his fictional text, trying to understand the mystery and considering before everything otherness. To accomplished it, we will take as the object of analysis the tales of La Biblioteca Babel, La Escritura del Dios, Tlön, Uqbar, Orbius Tertius, El Aleph and Los Teólogos / Mestrado / Teoria e Critica Literaria / Mestra em Teoria e História Literária

Pour une typologie de la littérature du secret : mystère et sens dans l'oeuvre romanesque de Pierre Jean Jouve / Mystery and sense in Pierre Jean Jouve’s novels

Porcher, Titaua 09 October 2009 (has links)
This work is built on the mystery that irradiates Pierre Jean Jouve’s novels « like a permanent nimbus ». We adopt here above all the phenomenological view, which considers the body as the center of consciousness, in order to analyse the links between mystery an meaning. The first part constitutes a topology of mystery. In Pierre Jean Jouve’s novels, indeed, the visible is doubled by an invisible with an ambiguous status : it is in the same time related to an immanent meaning and to a presence which escapes the meaning. The second part analyses the stylistic signs that generate the mysterious atmosphere. As Jean Paul Sartre says, a novelistic technique is a reflection of the novelist’s metaphysic. The third part studies the different occurrences of mythological references as accesses to the mystery of the « interior continent » : the unconscious. These images, that emerge in the body, come from an archaïc structure and proceed as revelations : they are pictures of what is impossible to show and they give an idea of P.J. Jouve’s psyche’s structures. Lastly, we study the links between mystery and mysticism.

Culture and authenticity: the discursive space of Japanese detective fiction and the formation of the national imaginary

Saito, Satomi 01 January 2007 (has links)
In my thesis, I examine the discursive space of the detective fiction genre following Kasai Kiyoshi's periodization in his two-volume seminal work Tantei shosetsuron (The Theory of Detective Fiction, 1998). I investigate how Japanese detective fiction has developed in relation to Japan's modernization, industrialization, nationalism, and globalization, specifically in the 1920s-30s, the 1950s-60s, and from the 1990s to present. By historicizing the discursive formation of the genre in decisive moments in Japanese history, I examine how Japanese detective fiction delineated itself as a modern popular literature differentiating itself from serious literature (junbungaku) and also from other genres of popular fiction (taishu bungaku). My study exposes the socio-political, cultural and literary conditions that conditioned the emergence of the detective fiction genre as a problematic of Japanese society, stitching fantasy and desire for the formation of the national subject in the cultural domain. I investigate the dynamics through which Japanese detective fiction negotiates its particularity as a genre differentiating itself from the Western model and domestically from the conventional crime stories of the Edo and Meiji periods. Chapters One through Three of my study examine Japan's socio-cultural contexts after the Russo-Japanese war, specifically magazine culture and the rise of the detective fiction genre (Chapter I), the I-novel tradition and its relation to the genre (Chapter II), and representations of Tokyo as an urban center, focusing on Edogawa Ranpo's "Inju" (Beast in the Shadows, 1928) (Chapter III). Chapters Four through Six investigate the socio-cultural contexts after World War II, especially Japan's democratization in the 1950s-60s and the rearticulation of the genre through repeated debates about authenticities in Japanese detective fiction (Chapter IV), and the transition from tantei shosetsu (detective fiction) to suiri shosetsu (mystery) focusing on Yokomizo Seishi's Honjin satsujin jiken (The Honjin Murder Case, 1946) and Matsumoto Seicho's Ten to sen (Points and Lines, 1957) as representative works of the two trends (Chapter V), and finally the postmodern "return" to the prewar tradition in the 1990s (Chapter VI).
