This master thesis focus on determinig the flooding inundation of the selected area of Luzicka Nisa, flowing through the city Hradek nad Nisou. The work is based on the field survey and the information about the area, on this basis it describes the watched area in interaction for determing the flooding inundation. The thesis is split into the text summary and determing the flooding inundation of the selected part of the river Luzicka Nisa. The text summary sums up the problematic of flooding. It mentions the history, the prevention against flooding, the factors influencing their formation. The flood stages, the flooding inundation and the flood control plans. The second part focus on the determining the flooding inundation at the N year flows by using of the program HEC RAS 4.0 and the ArcGIS extension HEC-GeoRAS. The determined flooding inundation was modeled on the basis of the data of cross profiles, N year flows and water facilities and then exported on map data.

Cross-border cooperation is an important instrument of European integration. The thesis deals with cross-border cooperation within euroregions, more precisely in the oldest Czech Euroregion Nisa. The objective of this thesis is to find asymmetries in the cooperation of the Czech part with the German and Polis hone, and how these asymmetries are reflected in realized projects. The thesis comes to a conclusion that the three parts of Euroregion Nisa are different when it comes to economic potential, and that the projects almost do not deal with the most pressing problems. Another conclusion is the existence of an asymmetry in cooperation, i.e. absence of common trilateral projects.

Submitted diploma thesis is dedicated to cross-border cooperation and the Small Project's Fund in the area of Euroregion Neisse-Nisa-Nysa. The first aim is the analysis of projects from the SPF for the programming period since 2007 to 2013. The second aim of this thesis is to approve that Euroregion Neisse-Nisa-Nysa (czech section) is convenient platform for the cross-border cooperation. First, analysis of SPF confirmed that ERN (only czech section) is a significant player. Second, Czech-Polish border revealed the highest number of realized projects and also the highest financial resources used. Concerning the role of ERN in cross-border cooperation it was confirmed that the ERN is convenient platform for cross-border cooperation and also a responsible administrator of the SPF. In the theoretical section this thesis deals with the border phenomenon, the cross-border cooperation and the euroregions in general. The aims of the thesis were to compare chemistry of the Černá Nisa stream in the Jizera Mountains (Northern Bohemia, Czech Republic) at the end of the era of strong anthropogenic acidification (in the mid-1990s) and in the period of the recent intensive chemical and biological recovery from acidification, and to study the present biota of the stream. During the year 2008, physical and chemical parameters of the water were studied, the species and age composition of ichthyofauna, and the quality and quantity of macrozoobenthos - the main component of the food for fish. Special attention was paid to the content of toxic metals (Be, Al, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, As, Cd, Pb, Hg) in the water, main representatives of benthic organisms, and in selected tissues of brook charr. The comparison of the water chemistry with results from the years 1994, 1996, and 1997 showed a decrease in acidification, despite the unstable chemical climate during the seasons, and sulphate and nitrate concentrations still high. Since the mid 1990s, the stream has been inhabited by a stable population of brook charr (Salvelinus fontinalis), a non-native, highly acid-tolerant species, which is now dominating there. At present, also a stable population of a native species, common minnow (Phoxinus phoxinus), occurs in the stream....

AN ABSTRACT OF THE THESIS OF

Analysis of tourism in Euroregion Neisse, course of the flood in August 2010, evaluation of impacts and consequences of the flood in August 2010, damage of tourist attractions and material technical base.

Thesis in its theoretical part deals with cross-border cooperation and analyzes a new legal instrument at EU level - European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation (EGTC). The work describes the instrument, including the establishment of a legal basis. It also deals with the potential use of the EGTC, which focuses on the permanent structure for cross-border cooperation, ie. Euroregions and make a summary of the EGTC already developed within the European Union. The practical part focuses on a description of the Euroregion Neisse, who ordered the creation of a legal entity as one of the main objectives and is currently in the process of preparing the establishment of an EGTC. This section is in addition to the characteristics of the Euroregion analysis of individual steps in the creation, use specific options on the EGTC and the comparison with existing legal entities within the EU. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the EGTC and determine whether it has the potential for the development of the Euroregion Neisse.

The diploma thesis deals with cross-border cooperation in the Euroregion Neisse. The Cross-border cooperation is one of the most interesting forms of regional cooperation. Theoretical part of thesis discusses basic terms, history of CBC and its development and importance in regional policy of the European Union, the development of Euroregions and the financing possibilities of CBC in the Czech Republic. The practical part is focused on cross-border cooperation in the Euroregion Neisse, which is the oldest Euroregion in the Czech Republic. The attention is paid mainly to projects implemented in the tourism. Euroregion Neisse has very favourable natural and cultural-historical assumptions for development of tourism. The objective is to evaluate cooperation in tourism in the context of cross-border cooperation in 2007-2013.

Michaela Dvořáková ABSTRACT The primary aim of the Diploma Thesis is to introduce an interest association called euroregion, which is a relatively new form of cross-border cooperation. The core part of the paper is dedicated to Euroregion Neisse-Nisa-Nysa. This association is studied from different perspectives, which embrace its foundation, development, legal definition, organization structure, financing, institutional interests, purpose and mainly the issue of Small Project Fund. The practical part of the thesis is focused on the analysis of amount of finances, cooperating subjects and the number of realized projects in individual subsidy programmes, in which the Small Project Fund participated. The preference of Czech municipalities on small projects is supported with an analysis and closing questionnaire survey.

Die Broschüre gibt einen Überblick über die Ergebnisse des EU-Projektes TransGeoTherm. Im Projekt wurde ein grenzüberschreitendes 3D-Modell entwickelt, das den geologischen Untergrund der Neiße-Region darstellt. Mit dem 3D-Modell wurden geothermische Potenzialkarten berechnet. Damit steht erstmals für diese Region ein Hilfsmittel für die qualifizierte Planung geothermischer Anlagen zur Verfügung. Der Abschlussbericht richtet sich an Bürger, Unternehmen, Behörden und Institutionen, die sich mit der Erdwärmenutzung befassen.
