Nota necrológica sobre el fallecimiento del premio Nóbel de Química Georg Wittig (90 años)

El objetivo del presente trabajo fue hacer una revisión bibliográfica de la literatura publicada sobre los premios Ig-Nobel que se entregan cada año a investigadores por sus trabajos científicos. En tal sentido, se analizó diversas publicaciones y se resumió los aspectos más relevantes. Los premios pretenden celebrar lo inusual, honrar lo imaginativo y estimular el interés por la ciencia, la medicina y la tecnología. / The objective of this study was to conduct a bibliographical revision of the published literature on the Ig-Nobel awards that surrender annually to researchers for their scientific work. In this regard, several publications were analyzed and summarized the most outstanding aspects. The awards aim to celebrate the unusual, honor the imaginative and stimulating interest in science, medicine and technology

"This study, conducted in nine languages, sought to examine the library use and reading habits of eminent individuals. All living Nobel Laureates were identified and asked to provide information about their childhood interests and habits and also those which characterize their adult careers. The respondents indicated that they enjoyed reading as children, and many relied on library services to provide them with most of the materials they read. The Laureates who grew up in the United States had more access to library services, made more use of libraries as children, and felt competent to use libraries at earlier ages than did many of their counterparts growing up outside this country. El Ig Nobel es un premio que entrega desde 1991 la revista“Annals of Improbable Research” junto con la Universidadde Harvard, y está dedicado a “celebrar lo inusual,honrar lo imaginativo y estimular el interés público en laciencia, tecnología, medicina y otras áreas”, en palabrasde sus creadores (http://improbable.com/ig). Por medio depremiaciones a investigaciones que a simple vista parecendivertidas, se busca hacer a las personas reír y, luego,pensar. / The Ig Nobel is a prize awarded since 1991 by the journal “Annals of Improbable Research” along with Harvard University. The prizes are intended to “celebrate de unusual,honor the imaginative and spur people’s interest in science, medicine, technology and other areas” according to their creators (http://improbable.com/ig). By rewarding different investigations that look funny to the common people, the Ig Nobel seeks to make people laugh and then think.

This design proposal for the Nobel Museum in Stockholm is to study how large scale public buildings in a city center can personify the complexity of its monumental urban context. As part of my Master's thesis, I try to fuse the external and internal structures of the building, letting its layers be affected by the dynamic flow of people, and circulation of light on and around the site. The fusion of the internal and external is achieved through layer studies using design techniques of folding and buckling sheet material, and the subsequent evaluation of the affect of these manipulations.
