Simulace oteplení rozváděčů VN / Simulation of temperature-rise in MV switchgear assembliesKapalla, Alexej January 2021 (has links)
This thesis focuses on the issue of heating of medium-voltage switchgears. The paper contains descriptions of the individual devices which the switchgear consists of. Furthermore, the paper examine the theoretical relations which describe the heating of the conductor. It also present the normative regulations regarding the heading of MV switchgears as well as specific impacts which influence the final temperature-rise. This is followed by chapters that describe the refining of a 3D model of specific switchgear for purposes of simulating temperature-rise, further followed by chapters that look at the actual simulation environment. The thesis further focuses on the actual simulation of MV switchgear temperature-rise and it will compare the results of the simulation with measurements taken under real conditions. The thesis also includes results of simulated temperature-rise while taking into consideration the forced cooling of the switchgear. In the last part, it focuses on the creation of an excel file, which enables the prediction of final results for the temperature-rise of disconnector based on its contact resistance.

The struggle of the LECSA/PEMS Meadowlands Parish in becoming a missional ecclesia in a sea of missional challenges in her context are vividly spelt out. They, inter alia, include constitutional matters, language policy, finances, ministerial preparation, lay-ministry development, institutionalisation of ministry, unity issues, prophetic ministry, mission and evangelism. Studium oxidační degradace abakaviru / Oxidative degradation study of abacavirŠušová, Nikola January 2020 (has links)
The aim of this study is forced oxidative degradation of active pharmaceutical ingredient abacavir, used to treat HIV-infected patients. A fast and sensitive method for the determination of abacavir and its degradation products by ultra-high performance liquid chromatography has been developed and validated, that made it possible to evaluate the oxidation stability of abacavir and Ziagen tablets. Suitable chromatographic separation was achieved using a Kinetex C18 column and gradient elution with a mobile phase consisting of acetonitrile and ammonium acetate (c = 20 mmol dm−3 , pH = 7.0). The total run time was 11 minutes. The determination of abacavir and its degradation products was performed by a photodiode array detector at λ = 254 nm. The optimized method for the determination of abacavir and its degradation products was applied to study the oxidation of abacavir by both traditional and electrochemical approaches. The forced degradation study in solution revealed abacavir instability in the presence of 3% hydrogen peroxide and during electrochemical oxidation. The study found that excipients in the tablet suppress the degradation of abacavir by approximately 10 %. Teleworking is a fastly developing field, but the teacher profession has not been among thosein the forefront. Due to the Coronavirus pandemic several professions, including universityteachers, have been forced into telework in order to decrease infection rates of Covid-19. Thisstudy analyzes how forced telework affects the experience of a changed work situation. Theaim is to examine how, due to the pandemic, forced telework have affected universityteachers’ experience of their work situation and work/family balance. Six qualitativeinterviews are analyzed through themes of room for action, work load, workplace support andwork/family balance by using the Command -control(-support)model and Work/FamilyBorder Theory. Level of responsibility, authority and previous technical abilities and digitalexperience are shown to be important aspects in relation to dealing with the changed workingenvironment. The balance between work and family/private life is experienced differently butyoung children and availability are two aspects which makes boundary-making harder nowcompared to before the switch to teleworking. / Distansarbete blir allt mer förekommande men läraryrket har inte varit en av de framståendeyrkesgrupperna i utvecklingen. Syftet med föreliggandestudie är att undersöka hur påtvingat distansarbete, i samband med pandemin, har påverkatuniversitetslärares upplevelse av dels sin arbetssituation och dels balansen mellan arbetslivoch privatliv. Sex kvalitativa intervjuer analyseras utifrån handlingsutrymme,arbetsbelastning, stöttning på arbetsplatsen samt balans mellan arbetsliv och privatliv medstöd i Krav-kontroll(-stöd)modellen och Gränsteori. Grad av ansvar och befogenheter samttekniska färdigheter och digital vana är viktiga faktorer relaterat till hur situationen upplevsoch hanteras. Balansen mellan arbete och privatliv upplevs olika men små barn ochtillgänglighet är två faktorer som gör att gränsdragningen mellan arbetsliv och privatlivupplevs svårare nu jämfört med innan omställningen till distans.

What is the value of home? : A quantitative study on the effects of natural resource extraction on conflict-induced displacementStensö, Theodor January 2021 (has links)
Conflict-induced displacement, a relatively novel term, is well researched but not well understood. There is a significant amount of findings on this subject, but many have been disproven at a later stage, leaving behind a research field largely lacking in substantial findings. As conflict-induced displacement has steadily increased over the previous years, this is a significant problem. However, recent findings, hinting at a relationship between natural resource prevalence in armed conflicts and displacement, could help provide an explanation as for what causes these differences. A large-n study looking at 207 cases of armed conflict, varying over relative value of natural resource extraction, is here conducted. The results find that while there is not a statistically significant relationship between the two variables, and this relationship varies depending on whether cross- or within border displacement is the focus, there is some level of covarying relationship.

This thesis explores how LGBTQ*-Salvadoran applicants for international protection experience the influence of their own sexual orientation and gender identities in relation to the underlying motives behind their migration. In addition, it intends to draw some conclusions from the respondents' statements, gained insights from observations and what was found in literature. For this, two Salvadoran LGBTQ*- applicants for international protection, who applied for asylum in Belgium in the year 2019, were interviewed. Their discourses were analysed by using a thematic analysis.The study exposes the narratives and motivations which led them to flee their homeland and find a new life in Belgium.

In this work a method for determination of canagliflozin and its degradation products by HPLC with UV and MS detector was developed. The developed method was used to study the forced degradation of canagliflozin and to investigate the major degradation products resulting from exposure of canagliflozin to oxidative stress. Canagliflozin is a phenolic glycoside derivative and a glucose-sodium transporter 2 inhibitor that stimulates urinary glucose excretion by suppressing glucose reabsorption from the proximal tubule in the kidneys. Canagliflozin is used to control blood glucose levels in patients with type 2 diabetes. In an optimized method, an Agilent Poroshell 120 SB-Aq (2.1 × 100 mm, 2.7 µm) column was used and a mixture of buffer (10mM HCOOH adjusted with ammonium hydroxide to pH 3.5) and acetonitrile as a mobile phase. The method validation included testing of accuracy, repeatability, the limit of detection and quantification, linearity and linear dynamic range, the robustness of the method, and testing of sample stability. The limit of detection of the method was 8.9·10-5 mg ml-1 (2.0·10-7 mol l-1 ) and the limit of quantification was 3.0·10-4 mg ml-1 (6.8·10-7 mol l-1 ). The purpose of this master thesis is to provide a reliable methodology to predict the forced response of a monoblock bladed drum from a low pressure compressor. Pre-test forced response calculations have already been made at Techspace Aero in 2013. Now that experimental data are available, the methodology has to be adapted to ensure the best numerical-experimental correlation possible. The final goal is that, at the end of the thesis, engineers at Techspace Aero will be able to launch reliable forced response simulations within a short amount of time. For the sake of confidentiality, some data are not revealed, such as the engine name, some numerical values (forced response, aerodynamic damping, frequency of the mode etc…) and axis scales. In this paper, the study focuses on the forced response of a rotor blade from the first stage under the excitation from the upstream stator. The mode under investigation is the 2S2, the one that responded during the experiment. The TWIN approach is used to compute the forced response of the rotor blade. With this approach, a steady stage computation has first to be carried on as an initialization. Then two unsteady computations are necessary. The first, without blade motion, will provide the excitation aerodynamic forces. The aerodynamic damping will be extracted from the second one, where the motion of the blade is imposed on a given eigenmode. The forced response can then be computed with these two results and some additional structural data. The results will be compared to the experimental value.

Numerical investigation of the sensitivity of forced response characteristics of bladed disks to mistuningMyhre, Mikkel January 2003 (has links)
Two state of the art finite element reduction techniquespreviously validated against the direct finite element method,one based on classical modal analysis and another based oncomponent mode synthesis, are applied for efficient mistunedfree vibration and forced response analysis of several bladeddisk geometries. The methods are first applied to two testcases in order to demonstrate the differences in computationalefficiency as well as to validate the methods againstexperimental data. As previous studies have indicated, nonoticeable differences in accuracy are detected for the currentapplications, while the method based on classical modalanalysis is significantly more efficient. Experimental data(mistuned frequencies and mode shapes) available for one of thetwo test cases are compared with numerical predictions, and agood match is obtained, which adds to the previous validationof the methods (against the direct finite element method). The influence of blade-to-blade coupling and rotation speedon the sensitivity of bladed disks to mistuning is thenstudied. A transonic fan is considered with part span shroudsand without shrouds, respectively, constituting a high and alow blade-to-blade coupling case. For both cases, computationsare performed at rest as well as at various rotation speeds.Mistuning sensitivity is modelled as the dependence ofamplitude magnification on the standard deviation of bladestiffnesses. The finite element reduction technique based onclassical modal analysis is employed for the structuralanalysis. This reduced order model is solved for sets of randomblade stiffnesses with various standard deviations, i.e. MonteCarlo simulations. In order to reduce the sample size, thestatistical data is fitted to a Weibull (type III) parametermodel. Three different parameter estimation techniques areapplied and compared. The key role of blade-to-blade coupling,as well as the ratio of mistuning to coupling, is demonstratedfor the two cases. It is observed that mistuning sensitivityvaries significantly with rotation speed for both fans due toan associated variation in blade-to-blade coupling strength.Focusing on the effect of one specific engine order on themistuned response of the first bending modes, it is observedthat the mistuning sensitivity behaviour of the fan withoutshrouds is unaffected by rotation at its resonant condition,due to insignificant changes in coupling strength at thisspeed. The fan with shrouds, on the other hand, shows asignificantly different behaviour at rest and resonant speed,due to increased coupling under rotation. Comparing the twocases at resonant rotor speeds, the fan without shrouds is lessor equally sensitive to mistuning than the fan with shrouds inthe entire range of mistuning strengths considered. This thesisscientific contribution centres on themistuning sensitivity study, where the effects of shrouds androtation speed are quantified for realistic bladed diskgeometries.
