Opinionsmätningar i svenska medier : En kvantitativ studie av fyra svenska tidningars publicering av opinionsmätningar

Nasiri, Shervin January 2017 (has links)
Denna uppsats undersöker i vilken utsträckning fyra utvalda medier följer riktlinjer för publicering av opinionsmätningar som de internationella branschorganisationerna World Association for Public Opinion Research (WAPOR) och The European Society for Opinion and Marketing Research (ESOMAR) gemensamt tagit fram.

An evaluation of reputation spreading in mobile ad-hoc networks

Håkansson, Martin January 2004 (has links)
The use of mobile ad-hoc networks (MANETs) is growing. The issue of security in MANETs is not trivial, since such networks have no fixed infrastructure and therefor centralised security is not applicable. MANETs are also more sensitive to attacks due to their wireless communication channels and their spontaneous nature. All kind of cooperation requires a sense of trust. The opinion about trust in other entities can be used as a mean to dynamically allow for secure cooperation in MANETs, as soft security. And also to counter some of the inherited security problems of MANETs. To use opinions as a security paradigm in MANETs the opinions about other nodes has to be spread as reputation about a node. This reputation spreading can be done through spreading of opinions or the spreading of evidences about a nodes behaviour. In this work evidence and reputation spreading are compared to each other. This comparison shows that they are quite similar from a security point of view but that they differ in scalability.

Cogné, Virginie January 2018 (has links)

Balazs Thenot, Jorge-Andrés Jean-Michel January 2015 (has links)

吃貨人生: 探索在香港Instagram上的食物影像分享 / Foodie’s Life: Exploring Food Captures Sharing on Instagram in Hong Kong

Unknown Date (has links)
The “camera eats first” phenomenon has become a worldwide popular culture which affects our everyday life. The study is committed to look at the foodie behavior on Instagram in Hong Kong, a renowned gourmet paradise. Through a qualitative study of five Instagram foodies, it aims to explore and add an academic dimension of understanding of the culture from the foodie’s perspective and their online behaviors of running a public profile about daily food consumption on Instagram. The results suggested that some foodies see their profiles as the extension of themselves, a space to showcase their works and preferences; but they do not see their profile as a future business opportunity. Even though the foodies on Instagram are mostly amateur instead of professionally trained food photographers, they keep enhancing their skills by learning from their peers and constant practices, for the sake of producing attractive photos. Flat-lay is one of the most popular styles of photography on Instagram which is appreciated by the foodies, as well as the audience. Attractive food visual content and skillful labeling hashtags have made Instagram a platform to satisfy intense desire for food consumption. A foodie’s interaction with audience further enhances the consumer’s desire by offering personal comments. The findings imply that there is a wide scale of foodies with different attitudes towards their practice of posting food images on Instagram. It is crucial for food marketers to understand their attitudes and preferences for better communication. Future research can be conducted on a broader scale of foodies to examine foodies and their influence on social class, giving marketers more ideas of effective positioning and segmentation.

Factors causing the decline in English proficiency among learners based on a perception of teachers in the junior secondary schools of the Qumbu Education District

Makena, Bulelwa January 2013 (has links)
The purpose of this study was to find out whether factors such as the learners’ learning styles, their cultural backgrounds, instructional approaches and strategies used by teachers and the lack of exposure to relevant resources had an influence on the declining English proficiency among learners. The researcher is currently an English teacher in one of the schools in the Qumbu Education District. The researcher expressed concern about the learners’ declining performance in aspects of English language like reading, writing and speaking. The idea of carrying out this study became necessary as English is a compulsory first additional language for most of the schools. Most of the subjects offered in South African schools are taught in English; moreover, English is an internationally-recognized medium of communication. One therefore, has to master the use of English to a certain extent so as to be a successful scholar. The sample consisted of 20 English senior phase teachers who were randomly selected from 13 schools in various circuits around the Qumbu Education District. Data was collected through the use of questionnaires which focused specifically on the learners’ learning styles, their cultural backgrounds, instructional approaches and strategies used by teachers, and also the lack of exposure to relevant literature. These questionnaires were administered by the researcher in person. The data were analyzed and interpreted statistically and also presented through tables and discussions. The findings of this study revealed that the geographical locations of the selected schools for the research study, limited exposure to English-related resources, workload of English teachers, teaching and learning approaches, and knowledge acquisition strategies employed by teachers and learners contribute to the decline in English proficiency among the learners. If these could be attended to effectively, English proficiency could improve among learners. In conclusion, recommendations have been made both for action and possible further research.
