Förslag till åtgärder för att eliminera brister i OTD-processen : En fallstudie på Smålands Skafferi / Proposals for measures to eliminate deficiencies in the OTD-process : A case study at Smålands SkafferiMuric, Emina, Nilsson, Elin, Sporre, Maja, Ek Olofsson, Victoria January 2024 (has links)
Bakgrund: Smålands Skafferi har genomgått betydande tillväxt på senare år och har anpassat sin verksamhet för att möta den ökade efterfrågan. Företaget arbetssätt har utvecklats organiskt under expansionsperioden. Nya medarbetare har anställts i takt med att arbetsbelastningen har ökat för befintlig personal. Trots fungerande arbetssätt söker företaget nu möjligheter att förbättra effektiviteten, minska kostnader och öka konkurrenskraften. En central del av Smålands Skafferis värdekedja är Order-To-Delivery-processen, som sträcker sig från mottagning av kundorder till avslutad leverans och fakturering. Syfte: Syftet med studien är att identifiera de brister i Smålands Skafferis OTD-process, inklusive bristernas orsaker och konsekvenser samt föreslå förbättringsåtgärder. Metod: Studien är en fallstudie på Smålands Skafferi. Metoden är kvalitativ med en deduktiv ansats och tillämpar kritisk realism som vetenskapligt synsätt. Semistrukturerade intervjuer och observationer som observatör-som-deltagare användes för datainsamlingen. Analysen utfördes genom mönsterjämförelse med inslag av logiska modeller. Slutsats: Brister som identifierats i Smålands Skafferis OTD-process är följande: otillgängliga varor, bristande kommunikation, begränsningar med affärssystem, begränsat lagerutrymme, felplock, restnoteringar, utmaningar med färskvaror, ineffektiv ruttplanering samt övervikt på lastbilar. Rekommenderade åtgärder för att eliminera brister i OTD-processen är följande: mätningar (lagerservicenivå), uppdatering i realtid, skanningssystem och sammanställning av vikt för att upptäcka övervikt. / Background: Smålands Skafferi has experienced significant growth in recent years andhas adapted its operations to meet the increased demand. The company's workingmethods have evolved organically during the expansion period. New employees havebeen hired as the workload has increased for existing staff. Despite functional procedures,the company is now seeking opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, andenhance competitiveness. A central part of Smålands Skafferis’s value chain is theOrder-To-Delivery process, which extends from receiving customer orders to completeddelivery and invoicing. Purpose: The purpose of the study is to identify deficiencies in Smålands Skafferi’s OTD-process, including the causes and consequences of these deficiencies, and to propose improvement measures. Method: The study is a case study at Smålands Skafferi. The method is qualitative with a deductive approach, applying critical realism as the scientific perspective. Semi-structured interviews and observations as participant observers were used for data collection. The analysis was conducted through pattern comparison with elements of logical models. Results: Deficiencies identified in Smålands Skafferi's OTD-process are as follows: unavailable goods, lack of communication, limitations with business systems, limited warehouse space, mispicking, backlogs, challenges with fresh products, inefficient routeplanning and overweight trucks. Recommended measures to eliminate deficiencies in the OTD-process are the following: measurements (warehouse service level), real-time updating, scanning system and compilation of weight to detect excess weight.

In the current era of telecommunication the usage of cellular network has increased rapidly. Number of different new services are introduced i.e. navigation, friend finder, internet browsing, nearby filling stations, shopping centers, traffic information and emergency services. Most of these services are location based and needs the information of particular area to provide the exact services. The addition of location based services in 3G network opens the new ways of using Mobile devices due to which cellular networks has faced number of challenges in providing better positioning accuracy which is the main requirement for location based services. To bear these challenges everyday new ways of finding the accurate position are introduced but most them required upgraded networks or highly equipped terminal. In this thesis the purpose is to find the potential in UMTS signaling data to estimate the position of the user equipment as accurate as possible using the legacy terminals. In this thesis SFN-SFN observed time difference is explored and used in Database Correlation Method (DCM) in network based positioning. This thesis is done by first analyzing the RSCP for the particular area to verify the conditions of FCC. The data is collected in real environment through test drive using TEMS investigation tool and the available measurement reports from the terminal are used to design and implement the DCM Algorithm. Two new approaches are introduced in this thesis SFN-SFN OTD and Hybrid. In Hybrid RSCP and SFN-SFN OTD are used together. In conclusion, the final results from the performed experiments show improvement in estimated position accuracy by Hybrid technique which is a new step in finding the position of user equipment by DCM.

This diploma thesis deals with the system of monitoring and evaluation of suppliers at the company RayService, a.s.. The aim is the implementation of an integrated procedural approach within the office work with suppliers. Assortment and quantity of suppliers is now so wide that the existing non-systemic solutions prevent more effective manufacturing and overall development of the company. Everything must be consistent with possible sources of the company, for example IS Helios. The basic condition is availability of data and by this also easy work with them. The main measurement of suppliers at the company RayService is the OTD (on time delivery) of suppliers, which value is 93% today. This work should set up a system of monitoring and evaluation of suppliers at the company so that the growing trend of OTD (from the current 63% to target 93%) can start.

ABB Power Grids Grid Integration, PGGI, deliver substations to external customers, the performed work is done in project form and all the projects are being tracked by several Key Performance Indicators, KPI. In this Thesis work one KPI will be investigated, which is OTD. The OTD is in form of 17 standardized milestones that are set from ABB to support the PGGI-project’s on-time-delivery. The problem that shall be investigated is the downward trend discovered regarding the OTD for the 17 milestones. This downward trend means that the PGGI-project’s ability to deliver on time is decreasing. To take on the problem a status analysis to achieve a picture of the current situation regarding the 17 milestones was done, the current situation is called As-Is. An analyze of the targeted situation regarding the milestones was also performed, which is called To-Be. When these two were made an analysis between them was also done. The result from this was that a gap between the As-Is and the To-Be situation exists. The reasons for this gap are; deficiencies in knowledge and lack of understanding regarding OTD, reporting, and unreliable data regarding the 17 milestones. Thereafter a roadmap was developed to suggest how the notified gap between As-Is and To-Be situation can be reduced and possibly be eliminated. This roadmap contains 7 improvement suggestion and an implementation plan for how some of the suggestions is recommended to be managed. This goes out to the company to perspicuous illustrate the shown gap and how to minimize it. Lean philosophy and Statistical Process Control laid as foundation for the developed improvement suggestions. An implementation of the roadmap as a template for the improvement suggestions that were developed are therefore suggested as further work. / ABB Power Grids Grid Integration, PGGI, levererar transformatorstationer till externa kunder, arbetet som utförs är i projektform. Alla projekt följs upp via nyckeltal, nyckeltalet OTD som ska undersökas i detta examensarbete är i form av 17 stycken standardiserade milstolpar satta från ABB för att stötta PGGI-projektens leveranssäkerhet. Problemet som ska redas ut är den nedåtgående trenden som upptäckts i leveranssäkerheten hos de 17 milstolparna. För att ta an detta gjordes en nulägesbeskrivning samt en börlägesbeskrivning, detta visade ett gap i arbetssättet gällande de 17 milstolparna. En analys av gapet mellan nuläge och börläge genomfördes, i analysen upptäcktes brister i kunskap, förståelse, rapportering samt opålitlig data gällande de 17 milstolparna. Därefter utvecklades en plan för att föreslå hur gapet mellan börläge och nuläge ska minska för att sedan elimineras. Lean filosofi, Lean verktyg samt Statistisk Process Styrning låg som grund för de framtagna förbättringsförslagen. Den framtagna planen är tänkt att användas som grund för vidare arbete med förbättringsförslagen som tagits fram.
