Zavedenie BI riešenia do firmy pôsobiacej na finančných trhoch / The implementaton of a BI solution in a company operating in financial marketsKačur, Andrej January 2015 (has links)
This diploma thesis is focused on designing a prototype Business Intelligence solution for a company operating in financial markets. The company does not possess a full-scaled system for measuring enterprise performance and performs this task by the means of manual data collection. The current system is not sufficient for covering the growing number of the com-pany's dealings. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with introducing basic principles of Enterprise Per-formance Management, Balanced Scorecard and, subsequently, Business Intelligence. The practical part covers the defined strategic goals of the company using the Balanced Sco-recard method. The discovered strategic goals are transposed into a strategic map. Metrics for measuring these goals are assigned to them. Only some of the goals are chosen for the implementation of the Business Intelligence solution. Source data for assessing the reached values are defined for the given indicators. Data from the data source were transposed into the data hub. Subsequently, an OLAP cube connected to a reporting tool for displaying the calculated metrics is created.

A Survey of the Work-Study Programs in the State Universities of KentuckyKnight, Glen 01 December 1978 (has links)
This study was undertaken to determine the status of the work-study programs in the eight state universities of Kentucky. A review of the literature indicated that little research had been conducted in the area of work-study administration, and thus this study was performed to increase the knowledge in this area. A questionnaire was developed to survey the work study program at the eight universities concerning the following three areas: organization and administration, evaluation procedures, and professional preparation. A high degree of centralization was indicated at all of the universities in regard to their student work programs, and administrative policy was generally consistent among the eight universities. The most used procedure to evaluate student workers was to interview the work supervisors, this method was used by four of the eight institutions. The other methods of evaluation included rating scales, self-rating scales, and evaluation forms. The need for professional preparation for financial aid workers at the graduate level was endorsed by all of the universities. The results of the study suggested the five following recommendations for the institutions involved: (1) the development of a job classification scale for student workers: (2) the granting of academic credit for labor assignments requiring specialized skills: (3) the development of a supervisors handbook: (4) student evaluations of the work programs: and (5) courses that relate to financial aid be added to the graduate programs in higher education.

Performance Management & Control Systems in Public Services: Interpretation and Assessment Based on Mixed-Methods Case StudiesDeschamps, Carl 09 March 2018 (has links) (PDF)
Performance management has been called the defining contemporary challenge facing public organizations. While we cannot pretend to elucidate all its mysteries, we hope to provide solid evidence for a better comprehension of the social underpinnings of performance management. We believe that these articles contribute to the existing literature, offer new perspectives on the issues, and provide a coherent overview of the dynamics that surround performance information in public organizations. It has long been known in public administration that performance management was there to stay, warts and all, because its potential was just too great to ignore. Hopeful, this research will provide insights for managers on how to strive for effective performance management in their organizations.

Artifact-Supported Performance Management of Collaborative Care TeamsLakhani, Rubina 10 August 2021 (has links)
This research proposes a framework for collaborative care in which the performance of healthcare teams is measured in an objective and quantifiable manner. We call our framework the Performance Management Framework for Collaborative Care (PMFCC). The PMFCC was developed using insights from agile software engineering, business, and healthcare and consists of three Components: the Collaboration Space Ontology Template, the Agile Process Model, and the Performance Management Model. We developed a set of example Artifacts based on our framework to better support performance management of collaborative care teams: Agile Treatment Plan, Agile Collaborative Dashboard, ICF Patient Card and Collaborative Care Model Canvas. The framework and associated Artifacts were developed iteratively using Design Science Research Methodology. Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder was used as an example relevant to performance management of collaborative care teams. A Clinical Vignette drawn from the healthcare literature was used to develop a set of scenarios to test and evaluate the PMFCC and its Artifacts at each iteration. A panel of experts was established at the end of our research to review our results and provide structured and unstructured feedback based on a set of evaluation criteria drawn from the relevant academic literature. The PMFCC was also compared to related works from the literature.
