Problémy rozvoje vnějších periferií Česka: modelový příklad Jáchymovska / Problems of regional development of external periphery of Czechia: Jáchymovsko region case study

Marková, Petra January 2010 (has links)
The main objective of this work is to contribute to the border periphery regions research at a field of usage of modern spatial development instruments. We verify the sustainability and the range of application on a concrete model location of Jachymovsko. The geographical location was revealed as a core development factor. We are presenting an optimal marketing strategy for this region based on an analysis of the environment and the image analysis. This strategy is focused on a consolidation and intensification of promotion of tourism and implementation of an external communication strategy. The quantitative data about a region are supported with the qualitative data from two researches: questionnaire method and Delphi method. Key words: periphery - regional marketing - Delphi method - Jachymovsko

Formování regionální identity na území vnitřní periferie Česka; případová studie Neveklovsko / Formation of regional identity in the inner periphery Czech; case study Neveklov region

Skalová, Vlasta January 2011 (has links)
This diploma thesis had two basic aims. The first was an analysis of the processes shaping regional identity particularly of the study area of Neveklovsko and the identification of the inner potential in the region from the socio-economic and sociocultural aspects. The second aim was to identify the differences in the various areas of Czech region, specifically the high concentration of settlements with a predominately tourist and recreational function, where the research was conducted within the grant project. The research was carried out on using a field survey and questionnaire. The Neveklovsko area is an example of a rural area of the inner periphery containing a high concentration of settlements with the predominating tourist and recreational function. The Second World War played an important role in shaping regional identity, particularly because of forced displacements and its use as a training ground of the SS. Keywords: second housing, regional identity, countryside, inner periphery

Regionální identita obyvatel a rekreantů v pohraničí; případová studie: Bor na Tachovsku. / The regional identity of the people and holidaymakers in the borderlands; Case study: Bor in theTachov region

Sladká, Jana January 2011 (has links)
The thesis "Regional Identity of the Residents and Holiday-makers in the Borderlands; Case Study: Bor in the Tachov Region" aims on the assessment of the regional identity of the residents and holiday-makers in the border area of the Czech Republic- Bor region, and then finding of the awareness of the solidarity of the users of the area in which they are living and which they are using for the purpose of recreation. Beside the assessment of the regional identity in the Bor region the thesis aims on comparison of the research outcomes of the chosen area with the overall outcomes of the grant project number 43/03/1491 and finding specifics through the questionnaire survey and guided dialogues, including tabular and graphical representation of the outcomes. Another aim is the assessment of the regional identity based on the promotional materials. The model area of Bor in the Tachov region is an example of the border periphery of the Czech Republic where the forming of regional identity was deeply affected by the World War II and successive settlement.

Rozvojový potenciál cestovního ruchu ve vybraném periferním území / Development potential of tourism in a selected peripheral area

Hanuš, Pavel January 2020 (has links)
This master thesis examines the possibilities of tourism development in selected peripheral area. Specifically, it includes areas of Kralovicko, Manětínsko, Žluticko, Jesenicko and Podbořansko. It is an inner periphery, which territory is administratively divided into four different regions. The possibilities of tourism development are discussed on the basis of analysis of localization and realization requirements and on the basis of interviews with actors, who are directly or marginally involved in tourism in the surveyed area. The thesis is complemented by map outputs and tables. The main findings of this thesis are that the surveyed area has suitable localization requirements for the development of tourism on regional or national level. Except of public transport, the realization requirements are also on a good level. However, in some cases would be appropriate additional research. It is clear from the interviews that the surveyed area is facing a number of problems. Due to that, current potential of tourism existing in this area is not sufficiently used. Better promotion of the territory regardless of regional borders, which would require deeper cooperation between individual actors, seems to be a possible solution. Key words: tourism, potential, development, periphery, countryside

Komparativní přístupy Karla Krejčího v jeho pojetí české a polské literatury / Karel Krejčí's Comparative Approaches in his Understanding of Czech and Polish Literature

Matějková, Veronika January 2012 (has links)
The thesis documents and interprets the conflict between the literary discourses of the time on the one hand, and the specific approach of Karel Krejčí (1904-1979), comparatist, Slavist and Czech studies scholar, on the other hand. Based on the Krejčí's studies on literary history and comparative literature, as well as his participation in the methodological debates of his time, the thesis analyses the impact of this conflict on the author's literary theory method, and his work of a literary historian and comparatist in general. The analysis is based on the ambiguous reception of Krejčí's scientific work: while he is recognised as a great personality in the field of Slavic studies, he is considered an outsider in the general context of Czech literary science. The thesis describes how the author, with his methodological approach, was in opposition to the prevailing trend. As a Slavic studies scholar he criticised the 'influence science' and positivist methods employed in the field. In the period between the two world wars he inclined towards the sociology of literature, although this discipline did not become popular. While he was interested in phenomenology and formalism, he defended his 'historical-sociological' approach against structuralism, which was gaining ground. In the 1950s Krejčí wrote a...

Reducing pro and PRO to a single source

McFadden, Thomas, Sundaresan, Sandhya 07 February 2023 (has links)
The goal of this paper is to provide novel theoretical and empirical evidence that the null subjects traditionally labelled as pro and PRO, rather than being inherently distinct, are manifestations, differentiated in the course of the derivation, of what is underlyingly a single underspecified nominal pro-form, which we will call UPro. Included under this UPro are pro, OC PRO and also the various types of ‘non-obligatory control’ (NOC) PRO, including arbitrary PRO (PROarb). The interpretive and distributional distinctions lurking behind these labels result from how UPro interacts with its structural environment and language-specific rules of morpho-phonological realization. Specifically, OC PRO labels a rather specific interpretation that arises in embedding contexts where a syntactic OC relationship with an antecedent can be established. Different types of pro and NOC PRO, on the other hand, involve ‘control’ by (typically) silent representations of discourse contextual elements in the clausal left periphery. Finally, PROarb arguably involves the failure to establish a referential dependence, which we will formalize in terms of a failure to Agree in the sense of Preminger (2014). Crucial evidence motivating the approach proposed here will be adduced from Sundaresan’s (2014) “Finiteness pro-drop Generalisation”, which reveals an otherwise unexpected complementarity of OC PRO and pro.

Social Aspects of Sustainability and Resilience in Small Town Planning : Structural Planning in Pförring, Germany / Sociala aspekter av hållbarhet och resiliens i planering av småstäder : Strukturplanering i Pförring, Tyskland

Friedrich, Melanie January 2020 (has links)
In a seemingly endlessly urbanizing world, the planning field must not forget our cities’ hinterlands and rural regions. Demographic shifts, dying centers, lack of amenities and insufficient mobility options are just a few of the struggles the periphery is facing. With the help of the case study site Pförring, Germany, this report analyzes regional and local plans in relation to social aspects of sustainability and resilience. The results are the identification of crucial elements for successful transformation: vision, competence, support, action, monitoring and adjustment, depicted as an interlinked system of two interactive loops.
