Comparison of risk assessment methods for polluted soils in Sweden, Norway and DenmarkPlevrakis, Viktor January 2014 (has links)
Land contamination is an acknowledged problem around the world due to its potentially adverse impacts on human health and the environment. Specifically in Europe there are estimated to be 2,500,000 potentially contaminated sites. The risk that contaminated sites pose is investigated by risk assessments. The methods and the models though used in risk assessments, vary both on a national and an international level. In this study, the risk assessment methods and models for polluted soils used in Scandinavia and issued by the Environmental Protection Agencies were compared. The comparison aimed to (i) identify similarities and differences in the risk assessment methodology and risk assessment methods and to (ii) investigate to which extend these differences can impact the results of the models and the implications regarding mitigation measures. The method and model comparison showed that Sweden and Norway have great similarities in assessing risks for contaminated soil. However, there are differences with Denmark on a conceptual level. When a common hypothetical petrol station with 20 soil samples was assessed, the results and the conclusions of the three risk assessments were quite different; the site was seen as posing risk to human health with the Danish model when complied with the quality criteria issued by the Norwegian model. The Swedish risk assessment concluded that the contaminant concentration in 3 out of 20 samples was potentially harmful for the environment but not for human health. The demonstrated divergence of the conclusions of risk assessments has major implications and shows great interest for mainly four groups: Land-owners who may be called to cover the expenses for remedial action. Consultants and companies who perform risk assessments and land remediation. The countries that have to meet national and international environmental goals and can also share/ or cover the cost for remedial action. The people exposed to such environments that could be deemed as potentially harmful by a neighboring country. The study was conducted in collaboration with URS Nordic.

Meření procesů provozu IS čerpacích stanic / Measuring operation processes of IS for petrol stationsŠebelík, Jan January 2007 (has links)
The thesis concerns with measurement of processes of support and maintenance of a specialized information system for petrol stations. It is a system for support of retail sale of fuel and other non-fuel goods. As the main objective of the thesis was selected design of set of metrics for measurement of these processes based on multidimensionality principle. It means that dimensions and indicators are designed separately and a set of recommended metrics is based on their combinations. It is possible to get additional metrics using other combinations. The theoretical basis of the thesis is the ITIL library -- which is an internationally respected standard for IT service management -- and metrics designed in other literature and diploma theses. The designed metrics are adapted for the analyzed environment and service information system, however, they should be usable in other environments as well. Selected metrics were implemented to the service information system and measured in a relatively wide sample of input data. This allowed evaluating usability of the metrics and comparison of the threshold values with the measured ones. The relationship of metrics and service agreements (SLAs) is described in the end of the thesis. Specific metrics suitable to be incorporated to SLA were designed including a real-life example.

Zhodnocení rizik návrhů rozvoje podniku působícího na trhu s pohonnými hmotami / The Risk Evaluation of the Proposal for Development of the Company Operating on the Fuel MarketMohauptová, Zuzana January 2015 (has links)
This thesis deals with the evaluation of risks of business development proposals ZEVOS a.s. acting on the fuel market. The thesis is divided into three main parts, the first part describes the theoretical knowledge. In this section are shown and described methods of dealing with the internal and external surroundings of the company. In the second part, which deals with the analytical part, the methods used to assess the current situation in the market where the company operates. The third part provides a proposal for the development of business solutions and financial investment return.

Oro taršos degalinės aplinkoje tyrimai / Research of air pollution in petrol station environmentMiknevičius, Vytautas 17 June 2014 (has links)
A petrol station is one of the most dangerous sources which are known to contribute greatly to the pollution of the environment due to normal pollutants they emit into atmosphere. The aim of the research is to assess the level of the pollution in the surroundings of a particular city petrol station as well as in the territory of the nearly by petrol stations. A research has been carried out to measure the amount of nitrogen dioxide, nitrogen monoxide, sulfur dioxide, benzene, formaldehyde and particulate matters concentrations in the air. After carrying out the research it was found out that the largest concentration of volatile organic compounds and gases was discovered in the working place of the operator of the petrol station where the concentrations of nitrogen dioxide (2,03 ppm), benzene (1,52 ppm) and formaldehyde (1,43 ppm) in the air exceeded all the limits allowed in working places. The concentration of gases and volatile organic compounds in the station and outside it exceeded the marginal value of in the air. Research also proved that the concentrations of pollutants increase in its amount 100 m around the petrol station. The test on particulate matters shoved that the prevailing size of the particulate matters was about 0,3 – 0,5 µm and their concentration highly exceeded the permitted amounts in the territory of the petrol station.

Strategie rozvoje podniku / Development Strategy of the CompanyMarcinčák, Petr January 2018 (has links)
Subject of this diploma thesis is to formulate development strategy for a company operating petrol station, hotel and restaurant. Specifically, it is about executing strategic analysis, analysis of internal and external factors to identify strengths and weaknesses of the company. Implementation of the proposed measures aims to improve company’s existing market position and secure its functioning even with major changes of environment.

Studie odpočívky a velkokapacitního záchytného parkoviště pro TIR na dálnici D1 / The Study of the Parking Area on the Motorway D1Šťastný, Radek January 2013 (has links)
The task of my diploma work is the study of the parking area on the motorway D1 near Vyškov. This place will be connected with the motorway D1 between the present exit Vyškov – West (226) and Vyškov – East (230/1) in the direction to Kroměříž. The parking area (the parking place, the petrol station, the restaurant) and the truckpark will be designed with the reason of the high intensity of cars and lorries on the motorway D1 and with the reason of the lack of the parking places for the lorries.
