O objetivo do presente trabalho é caracterizar e analisar aspectos da vida contemporânea que possibilitam a formalização estética da subjetividade que se cria poeticamente na obra de Rui Pires Cabral. Através da análise de poemas, selecionados de diversos livros do autor, desde o primeiro, Geografia das Estações, de 1994, ao mais recente, Elsewhere/Nenhures, de 2015, e da leitura da crítica literária e cultural contemporânea, principalmente dos trabalhos de críticos que trabalham ambas as questões de maneira interligada, sociólogos e outros estudiosos que pensam sobre as relações entre produções culturais e realidade sócio histórica, buscou-se delinear as características da subjetividade figurada na obra do poeta. Além disso, observou-se a influência desta realidade na constituição do sujeito. A errância e a fragmentação subjetivas são o ponto de partida da análise; outros temas, como solidão, consciência social e política, também serão abordados para que se possa ampliar, ao fim, a discussão sobre questões que estão além do nível subjetivo (individual), levando a uma reflexão social, política e artística da contemporaneidade portuguesa formalizada nos versos de Rui Pires Cabral no contexto da globalização e da organização da Europa enquanto União Europeia. / The objective of the present work is to characterize and to analyze aspects from contemporary life which permit the aesthetical formalization of the subjectivity poetically created in Rui Pires Cabrals work. By analyzing poems, selected from diverse books from the author, from the first one, Geografia das Estações, 1994, to the most recent, until today, Elsewhere/Nenhures, 2015, and by reading the contemporary literary and cultural criticisms, mainly cultural critics, sociologists and other thinkers who work with the relations between cultural productions and the social and historical realities, it was intended to outline the features of such subjectivity, as well as to observe the influence of the reality in the construction of it and the capacity of revelation of the aspects not so apparent in the reality by the subjective features poetically forged. The subjective wandering and fragmentation are the starting points, from which others derive, such as loneliness, social and political conscience, so that it is possible to open a discussion beyond the individual level, permitting a discussion about the Portuguese contemporaneity in social, political and artistic terms in the context of the globalized world and of the European Union.

Nuno Júdice est l’un des poètes portugais contemporains qui, tout au long de sa vie littéraire, a entretenu un rapport privilégié avec les arts. Le poète cherche, bien avant son premier recueil Noção do Poema (1972) et jusqu’à nos jours, à communiquer avec l’image peinte. Il instaure un subtil glissement entre poésie et peinture, mais aussi entre peinture et poésie. Il puise dans un univers de souvenirs indissociables du monde pictural. Ce dialogue fructueux et singulier avec la peinture nous permet d’observer comment l’ekphrasis devient un processus de transposition servant de base à une réflexion profonde sur le faire poétique. Notre recherche porte donc sur la relation ekphrastique qui se tisse dans toute l’oeuvre judicienne. Nous analysons, sous une approche thématique, les moyens que se donne le poète pour rapprocher la peinture du travail de l’écriture,en passant d’un atelier à l’autre. Nous partons de deux hypothèses : la première stipule que, pour Nuno Júdice, la peinture serait un moyen de relier les deux arts, permettant de récréer un autre tableau à partir des mots du poète. La seconde fait de la pratique de l’ekphrasis une possibilité de réveiller des souvenirs. En interrogeant le jeu intersémiotique et les analogies poésie-peinture, nous démontrons que paysage, lieu et corps s’articulent autour d’un seul et même principe. Peut-être s’agit-il, en dernière instance, de provoquer des sensations et de réinventer le monde ? / Nuno Júdice is one of Portugal's contemporary poets who has, during his entire literary career, held a privileged relationship with the arts. Even before his first published book, Noção do Poema(1972), the poet endeavored to communicate with the painted image. He establishes a subtle slippage between poetry and painting, but also between painting and poetry. He mines a universe of inseparable memories of the pictorial world. This singular and fecund dialogue with painting allows us to observe how ekphrasis becomes a process of transposition and a base for a profound reflection on the poetic 'how-to'. Our research thus concerns the ekphrastic relationships, which are woven through his whole work. We analyze, with a thematic approach, the means with which the poet brings painting to his writing in moving from one artist's studio to another. We start from two hypotheses: the first stipulates that for Nuno Júdice, painting is the means of linking the two arts, allowing the creation of an another painting from the poet's words; the second emphasizes that the practice of ekphrasis stimulates a possibility of retrieving memories. In our interrogation of the intersemiotic play and the poetry/painting analogies, we show that landscape, place and body articulate around one and the same principle. Is it perhaps, ultimately, about provoking feelings and reinventing the world?

Nesse sentido, no primeiro momento busca-se pensar como as constantes desterritorializações realizadas pelo eu lírico constituem uma subjetividade desenraizada e forasteira que, por sua vez, é detentora de uma potente resistência face ao sedentarismo imposto pela sociedade; enquanto que, no segundo, objetiva-se demonstrar as relações intermidiáticas entre poesia e música, poesia e outras formas literárias, e poesia e imagem, realizadas a partir de um processo criativo dinâmico ao qual chamamos “nomadismo poético”, com ênfase na colagem / This dissertation aims at analyzing the nomadism inside the poetical work of Rui Pires Cabral – Portuguese poet and translator –, developing the concept in its geographic aspect, concerning the movements along the space referred in the verses, and its formal aspect, based on the intermedial dislocations present in that poetics. Therefore, at first we intend to question how the constant desterritorializations done by the poetical eye constitute a landless and foreign subjectivity that, on its turn, possesses a powerful resistance against the imposed sedentarism; while in the second moment we aim to demonstrate the intermedial relations between poetry and music, poetry and other literary forms, and poetry and image, done through a dynamic creative process which we called “poetical nomadism”, with a focus on collage
