La puissance du soin : au-delà de l’empire de la souffrance : étude à partir de l'action humanitaire / The power of care : beyond the empire of suffering : the case of humanitarian action

Cette thèse est une étude sur le geste de soin, c’est-à-dire le fait de se soucier d’autres personnes et de leur apporter une aide nécessaire. Elle est ancrée dans un cas particulier : l’action humanitaire, l’action d’organisations intervenant dans des situations d’urgence générées par des conflits ou des catastrophes. Ce secteur de pratiques vient nourrir et contextualiser notre réflexion en lui apportant ses contraintes propres. Le constat d’un ensemble d’écueils dans les pratiques de soin se trouve à l’origine de ce travail. Ces problèmes sont généralement perçus comme des abus de pouvoir, que ce soit le soigné qui se voit abusé (imposition d’une forme de soin, manque de respect, etc.) ou bien le soignant (manque de reconnaissance, manipulation, détresse empathique, etc.). Selon la conception dominante, ces écueils auraient leur source dans l’asymétrie de la relation de soin. Il faudrait alors réduire, si ce n’est même, annuler cette asymétrie. Mais que serait le soin en l’absence de cette asymétrie ? Que pourrait faire le soignant s’il se trouvait tout autant vulnérable que le soigné ? Cette thèse dénonce une conception dominante du soin qui tend à un affaiblissement du soignant. Non seulement la souffrance ne trouve pas de réponses effectives, mais elle se voit légitimée et même célébrée. Notre travail vise à dénoncer cet empire de la souffrance et en révèle les racines profondes. De plus, la contribution de cette thèse n’est pas uniquement critique : elle propose de retrouver la puissance au cœur du geste de soin. Nous montrons que la source de cette puissance se trouve dans le désir, le désir entendu dans son sens fondamental et intrinsèque. Cette thèse propose finalement de replacer le désir au cœur du soin. Le vitalisme et la puissance normative anti-dogmatique de philosophes comme Spinoza, Nietzsche, Canguilhem et Deleuze nous éclairent tout au long de ce travail ainsi, qu’un travail empirique réalisé auprès d’acteurs humanitaires. / This is a study on the gesture of care, i.e. the fact of caring for other people and providing them with the help required. It focuses on a particular case : humanitarian action, the action conducted by organisations that intervene in emergency situations generated by conflicts or disasters. This sector of practices nourrishes and contextualises this philosophical reflection. The impulse of this work resides in the observation of a set of pitfalls of caring practices. These issues are generally perceived as abuses of power: it is either the care-reciever that is being abused (imposition of a particular form of care, lack of respect, etc.) or the care-provider (lack of recognition, manipulation, empathic distress, etc.). According to the dominant understanding, these pitfalls would find their origin in the asymetry of the caring relations. It would then be necessary to reduce, or even, to remove this asymetry. However, what would care be in the absence of this asymetry? What could the carer do if he/she was as vulnerable as the one being cared for? This thesis critiques a dominant conception of care that leads to a weakening of the carer. Not only does this understanding makes it impossible to properly respond to suffering, but it also leads to legitimising distress and vulnerability, and even, celebrating these states. Hence, this work seeks to denounce this empire of suffering and reveals its deeper roots. Furthermore, this thesis is not only a critique; it also makes a proposition, that of coming back to power of acting at the heart of the gesture of care. It shows that the source of this power resides in desire, a desire understood in a fundamental and intrinsic sense. It eventually proposes to place desire at the center of care. The vitalism and the normative and anti-dogmatic power of philosophers such as Spinoza, Nietzsche, Canguilhem and Deleuze are a source of inspiration throughout this work, as well as an empirical study conducted with humanitarian actors.

Abordagem cl?nica da atividade de trabalho do cozinheiro: intera??o de saberes, g?nero profissional e inova??o criativa

This dissertation intends to investigate the cook s professional activity, based on data from a determined specific professional genre in Natal (RN), in order to establish aspects related not only to the activity performed (activity which manifests itself empirically in registered behaviors), but also related to the real aspects of the work activity, that also compromises the non-realized options of the guiding of professional activity, be it by a matter of choice, be it due to the activity s own impediment. In this context, we tried to evaluate how much the professional activity observed keeps in relation to the reference practices of the professional genre, be it in terms of conformity, be it in terms of innovation (stylization) in relation to this genre. In addition, we tried to verify the contribution of the school and extra-school knowledge to the professional activity observed. Such work plan took on a preliminary step of the description of the socialprofessional profile of a cook in the city of Natal (RN), followed by a step of clinical labor approach, specifically utilizing as a methodological tool the simple and crossed self-confrontation procedure guided by the francophone theoretical referential of the Activity Clinic. The preliminary step in the description of profile of cooks from Natal (RN), of which 138 cooks took part in, evidenced three professional groupings, all predominantly masculine in their composition and fundamentally differentiated amongst each other by the time of professional activity, schooling type and time, work place and salary. The clinical approach step, composed by a pair of cooks, allowed us to verify elements of the cooks subordination to the professional genre, but also evidences of individual innovation (stylization) by these cooks, as well as the predominance of usage of extra-school knowledge when compared to school knowledge. We tried, in this step, to demonstrate how much the inclusion and submission to the genre dynamic, coordinated with the stylization initiatives, was able to contribute to the maintenance and amplification of the cook s power of acting in his professional practice. / A problem?tica geral desta disserta??o ? a explora??o de atividades de trabalho desenvolvidas no contexto de ocupa??es profissionais caracterizadas por n?vel de escolaridade vari?vel dentre aqueles que as exercem, e, ao mesmo tempo, grau de complexidade elevado no que diz respeito ?s tarefas t?picas implicadas em tais pr?ticas profissionais. Assim, esta disserta??o se prop?s a investigar a atividade de trabalho do cozinheiro, a partir dos dados de determinado g?nero profissional em Natal (RN), buscando estabelecer aspectos relacionados n?o somente ? atividade realizada (atividade que se manifesta empiricamente em comportamentos registr?veis), mas tamb?m relacionados ao real da atividade de trabalho, que abarca igualmente as op??es n?o-realizadas de encaminhamento da atividade profissional, seja por simples escolha, seja por impedimento da atividade. Tal plano de trabalho comportou uma etapa preliminar de descri??o do perfil socioprofissional de cozinheiro na cidade de Natal (RN), seguido da etapa de abordagem cl?nica do trabalho, cuja ferramenta metodol?gica utilizada foi o procedimento de autoconfronta??o cruzada - norteada pelo referencial te?rico franc?fono da Cl?nica da Atividade. A etapa de descri??o do perfil do cozinheiro de Natal (RN), da qual participaram 138 cozinheiros, evidenciou tr?s agrupamentos de profissionais, todos predominantemente masculinos em sua composi??o e diferenciados entre si fundamentalmente pelo tempo de inser??o profissional, tipo e tempo de escolariza??o, local de trabalho e faixa salarial. A etapa de abordagem cl?nica, composta por uma dupla de cozinheiros, permitiu verificar elementos de conformidade dos cozinheiros ao g?nero profissional, mas simultaneamente evid?ncias de inova??o individual (estiliza??o) por parte desses cozinheiros, bem como a predomin?ncia de utiliza??o de saberes extraescolares quando comparados ao saberes escolares. Buscou-se nessa etapa demonstrar o quanto a din?mica da inclus?o e submiss?o ao g?nero, concatenada com as iniciativas de estiliza??o, puderam contribuir para a manuten??o e amplia??o do poder de agir dos cozinheiros em sua pr?tica profissional.

Orientador: Lília Santos Abreu-Tardelli / Resumo: Esta pesquisa tem como objetivo analisar a dimensão interpessoal do trabalho de uma professora de língua portuguesa de escola pública a fim de averiguar as influências das relações entre a professora e os outros no agir da docente. Para isso: (i) analisamos a relação entre a docente e os agentes com quem interage diretamente em situação de trabalho, identificando, primeiramente, todos os agentes envolvidos e, em seguida, verificando as interpretações que a professora faz sobre o agir dos outros e sobre seu próprio agir; (ii) investigamos os conflitos e os agentes presentes nos temas escolhidos durante as entrevistas individuais com a docente para serem levados ao coletivo de trabalho; e (iii) analisamos os resultados oriundos das relações entre a docente e os agentes envolvidos e suas influências no agir da professora. Este trabalho, de cunho qualitativo, assume o quadro teórico-metodológico adotado pelo grupo ALTERCNPq (Análise de Linguagem, Trabalho Educacional e suas Relações) as quais se fundamentam no Interacionismo Sociodiscursivo (BRONCKART, 1999, 2006, 2008; MACHADO e BRONCKART, 2009), na Clínica da Atividade (CLOT, 2006a, 2006b 2010; 2015; CLOT et al. 2011; CLOT e GOLLAC, 2017) e na Ergonomia da Atividade Francesa (AMIGUES, 2004; FAÏTA, 2004). In order to do so: (i) we analyzed the relation between the teacher and the agents with whom she interacts at work, by identifying, firstly, all the agents involved and, then, by verifying the interpretations that a teacher makes about the Others’ acting and her own acting; (ii) we investigated the conflicts and the agents present in the topics chosen in the one-to-one interviews conducted with the teacher, which were meant to be later discussed with the work collective; and (iii) we analyzed the results from the relations between the teacher and the agents involved, as well as their influences on the teacher’s acting.
