Lower Devonian foraminifera are known from only a few localities globally and thus are not much investigated. The taxonomy, as well as further use of this group is insufficiently known. One of the main areas of research of foraminifera is the Barrandian area in the Czech Republic. This thesis follows previous studies of this territory but focuses particulary on the Prag formation, which has proven to be rich in foraminifera communities. Taxonomic studies were conducted at two Lower Devonian sites, namely the Na Stydlých vodách quarry and the Požáry quarry. The study showed that foraminifera communities described from the Na Stydlých vodách quarry were dominated by the following genera: Hyperammina, Colonammina and Tolypammina. The highest abundance was recorded at the transition of dvorecko-prokopské limestones and řeporyje limestones and in dvorecko-prokopské limestones. At the Požáry quarry, the communities were dominated by tubular genera of Tolypammina, Hyperammina and Bathysiphon and spherical genera of Lagenammina and Colonammina. The abbundance of Colonammina is unusually high, the genus has been described rarely from other parts of the world so far.

Obwohl die lokale Ebene in der Pflegepolitik eine zentrale Rolle spielt, nehmen international vergleichende Studien dieses Feld bisher kaum in den Blick. Das Ziel von "Caring Cities" besteht darin, am Beispiel von Bratislava, Budapest, Prag und Wien, die Rolle zentraleuropäischer Städte im Bereich der Pflege zu untersuchen. In der "pflegenden Stadt" treffen die nationale und die lokale Ebene auf verschiedene Weise aufeinander. Einerseits manifestieren sich nationale Pflegeregime in einem spezifisch-urbanen Kontext. Andererseits sind lokale AkteurInnen selbst in die Regulierung, Organisation und Erbringung von Pflege involviert und verfügen so über einen eigenen gestalterischen Spielraum. Um dies zu analysieren, wurden quantitative Daten erhoben und Interviews mit ExpertInnen in den jeweiligen Städten geführt. Die Untersuchung bestätigt für alle vier Hauptstädte die große Bedeutung regionaler bzw. lokaler Akteure in der Pflegepolitik. Während Wien auf eine lange und relativ kontinuierliche Geschichte lokaler Sozialpolitik aufbaut, wurde in Tschechien, der Slowakei und in Ungarn Pflegepolitik mit der Transformation in den frühen 1990er Jahren verstärkt an die regionale und lokale Ebene übertragen. In diesen Ländern ist der Sektor aber auch durch ein hohes Maß an Fragmentierung und teilweise überlappende Verantwortlichkeiten charakterisiert. Dies wiederum ist Konsequenz einer vielfach fehlenden umfassenden und kohärenten Pflegepolitik. Angespannte öffentliche Budgets, vor allem in den jüngsten Krisenjahren, haben den Ausbau einer adäquaten Dienstleistungsinfrastruktur zusätzlich verschärft. / Series: Forschungsberichte des Forschungsinstituts für Altersökonomie

In der Schriftenreihe werden alle Ergebnisse der geologischen Untersuchungen vorgestellt, die seit 2011 im Umfeld der geplanten Eisenbahnneubaustrecke Dresden-Prag durchgeführt worden sind. Der geplante mindestens 25 km lange, grenzüberschreitende Erzgebirgsbasistunnel durchquert verschiedene Gesteine und komplexe Störungszonen. Untersuchungsschwerpunkt waren die geologischen, tektonischen und hydrogeologischen Verhältnisse im grenznahen Raum des geplanten Trassenkorridos. Die Veröffentlichung richtet sich an Behörden, Institutionen, Ingenieur- und Planungsbüros, die sich mit der Umsetzung der Neubaustrecke beschäftigen sowie an die geologisch interessierte Fachwelt und Öffentlichkeit. World religions should be taught at the secondary level of education. In this, a pragmatic approach is superior to the traditional approach, because it shows not just the history of this topic, but it also lets students experience the everyday life of those who believe. It is not in any way a method to convert anybody to this or that faith or tradition. It is a pedagogic method for critical thinking and both making and challenging interpretations of the facts before each student. In my thesis I showed my own method and I made my own version of a better textbook that utilizes the basic points of pragmatic pedagogy. I studied the works of John Dewey, John Gatto, Neil Postman and Charles Weingartner. And I propose a method that takes no more than 4 lessons, if needed, which is the most time teachers can give to such topic. I looked at the educational programs of the Czech Republic and found that world religions are a very small portion of the subject Education in citizenship. Since John Dewey was an atheist, it is not common for people to think of religion as a topic to teach with his methodology. Most of the social sciences are still taught as history lessons and not as the fun and interesting lessons they can be.
