Mathematics Teacher TPACK Standards and Revising Teacher PreparationNiess, Margaret 07 May 2012 (has links) (PDF)
What knowledge do teachers need for integrating appropriate digital technologies in teaching mathematics? An overarching construct called TPACK is proposed as the interconnection and intersection of knowledge among technology, pedagogy, and content and is referred to as the total knowledge package for teaching mathematics with technology. Five stages in the process of developing TPACK - recognizing, accepting, adapting, exploring, and adapting – describe the process of teachers’ learning to integrate technology. Teachers learn to teach mathematics from their own learning – K-12 mathematics - collegiate mathematics coursework, teacher preparation program, field experiences and professional development as they teach mathematics. The challenge is to identify appropriate experiences to guide this integration of technology in teaching
mathematics in ways that develop TPACK. A framework for these experiences directs attention to emergent social and psychological perspectives.

Pedagogická příprava očima jejich absolventů / Pedagogical training by the eyes of their graduatesVOBEJDOVÁ, Lucie January 2018 (has links)
In my dissertation about the issue Pedagogical preparation met by the graduates I'm dealing with the position and approach of the students to the pedagogical preparation. I'm focusing particularly on what view the students and graduates have at the pregradual preparation. This perspective is alsoextended by the view of young teachers. The dissertation's is mainly the deeper understanding of the process of pedagogical preparation, grasping the problems of young teachers and consequently solve these problems. The main issue of this dissertation are the most frequent troubles students, graduates and young teachers have. For that I'm definig terms as pedagogical preparation, young teacher and teacher's personality in the theoretical part of the dissertation. The theoretical part is the instrument towards the second part, which is the peactical part to make its interpretation easier.

Návrh automatizovaného procesu elektrolytického leštění vzorků pro elektronový mikroskop / Design of automated electro-polishing apparatus for electron microscopy specimens preparationČermák, Jan January 2021 (has links)
This diploma thesis deals with the automation of the electropolishing process, which is per-former as the last step in the preparation of metallographic samples intended for observation in an electron microscope. A complete hardware design of a single-purpose machine has been developed, which provides the automatic preperation of up to six samples per insertion. There was the design of a manipulator for sample handling together with chemically re-sistant sample holder suitable for automatic operation as a part of solution. The design of the whole machine was developed with regard to the safety of the operator. The thesis includes detailed 3D model of the device and the desing of an application for measurement in the LabVIEW. It describes the future working process of the machine, including a description of a software for controlling the machine and sending process data of each sample to the to the database in accordance with the principles of industry 4.0. In the conclusion, the achieved results and the proposal of further steps necessary for the realization of the machine are for-mulated.

The Final hour : Pre-performance preparation for opera singersMangou, Serafeia January 2023 (has links)
This master thesis investigates the pre-performance preparation of classical singers during the final hour before a performance. Through a mixed-methods approach, data was collected from personal reflections and survey data. The results suggest that the majority of the opera singers choose to engage in different activities during the final hour before a performance, with individualized ordering and prioritization of their pre-performance activities and preparations. The survey data analysis showed some similar attributes between the singers engaging in memory recall techniques, those with low levels of anxiety performance, and those who report feeling ready and prepared before a performance. No significant similarities seem to be, however, among singers that follow a set of rituals or a structured pre-performance routine and those reporting that experience stress before performances. Additionally, the study highlights the importance of having a pre-performance routine for me as performer, singer and artist, because it enhances my commitment, self-confidence and improves the overall quality of my performances. The artistic outcome of my research consists of two parts: firstly, my established pre-performance routine, which I consistently followed prior to every performance during the study period; and secondly, the video recordings of my graduation concert and other performances completed during the study. The findings of this master thesis have implications for classical singers who wish to follow a professional career and improve the quality of their performances.

EXPLORING PARENTS' AND THEIR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS' UNDERSTANDING AND PERSPECTIVES ABOUT COLLEGE PREPARATION KNOWLEDGEBierker, Eric George January 2010 (has links)
This research investigated high school students, their parents, and high school counselors self-reported views about the nature and relative importance of different aspects of "College Preparation Knowledge." In brief, this research investigated many areas of College Preparation Knowledge (CPK) broadly defined as the facts and the processes needed to be known to be prepared to successfully apply, attend, and graduate from college. Practical suggestions derived from the research findings may help the high school counselor better serve their college-bound students and parents. / Educational Psychology

Gaining Entry Into a Teacher Preparation Program in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania: Assessing the Most Valid PredictorsOswald Fowler, Anne Michele January 2017 (has links)
This study assessed the most valid predictors of success of students entering into an undergraduate teacher preparation program in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Using existing institutional data from a small, private, urban university in Philadelphia, analyses of the data identified variables with the greatest predictive ability. The variables were then used to develop a prediction model that predicts performance on the Basic Skills Math Test and Basic Skills Reading Test. The results of this study provide the university with an instrument to identify students most likely to pass the basic skills test and gain entry into the teacher preparation program. The results of this study also provide the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania support for using SAT scores as a measure of proficiency of basic skills in gaining entry into an undergraduate teacher preparation program. Implications of the research on admissions practices, teacher preparation program development, and education reform are discussed in the recommendations. / Educational Leadership

Změny pohybové výkonnosti dětí v atletické přípravce / Changes in physical performance of Children at Athletic PreparatoryJirovec, Jan January 2013 (has links)
Title: Changes in physical performance of Children at Athletic Preparatory Objectives: Aim of this paper is the diagnosis of physical and technical readiness of young children that are regularly preparing in an athletic course as a preparation for joining ASK Slavia Praha and their readiness for the next step of basic training. Methods: observation, videoanalysis, motor tests Results: During diagnostics of physical readiness via repeated use of a battery of motor tests (60m run, long jump, ball throw, 600m run) it was proven that majority of subjects showed a steady increase in performance. Only with technical activities (long jump, ball throw) there was sometimes a decrease in the results of some children. Also, in these activities the differences among results of subjects started to increase. More talented children increased their results by much more than the less handy. On the contrary, the differences among children in 600m run decreased over time. Key words: Athletic preparation, physical preparation, technical preparation, training, skills, children, athletics, coach, physical development, image sequence from video
