Design av hyllkoncept

Josefsson, Jonas January 2008 (has links)
The layout in a store affects the behaviour when people are shopping. Stores want many customers which frequently visit the store and purchases a lot and often. Customers stay longer and usually come back if the store has an attractive decoration and layout. This diploma work is made on behalf of Johansson & Jonsson Konstruktion AB. The aim of the project was to create a more exclusive shelf concept for stores that mainly sells clothes. The scope is for Johansson & Jonsson Konstruktion AB to be able to produce this shelf concept with their current machines and without any major investments in new machines. A standard concept has been created with possibilities to amend and adapt it to a more personal style should it be requested. With a different style of the shelf concept the store can get just the character and approach it want. The project is divided into various chapters starting with a survey among the staff at stores to get a good overview about their opinions of the layout and decoration. Thereafter, current available solutions and materials have been evaluated and followed by various drawings as well as the final result at the end.

Utveckling av kaffekvarn anpassad för restaurangbranchen / Development of a coffee grinder for catering trade

Sääker, Annica, Jange, Sara January 2010 (has links)
This report describes the development of a coffee grinder within the HoReCa (Hotel, Restaurant, Catering) sector. The coffee grinder is suitable for filter coffee and the work was carried out in collaboration with Crem International with the objective of developing a new exclusive coffee grinder.</p><p>A feasibility study was conducted with a market analysis where the goal was to obtain thoughts on the uses of a coffee grinder. The results acquired made up the foundation for the requirements and specification of the coffee grinder with the specific requests of Crem International. Ideas for aesthetics, details, and uses of the coffee grinder was also developed and evaluated in collaboration with the company to generate a new concept. In order to optimize concepts regarding interface and interaction the work was given to another member outside the project. The changes that were made were later adapted to fit the materials chosen and the technical aspects produced for the coffee grinder.</p><p>The work resulted in a new coffee grinder which aesthetics, function and material was different to any other of Crem International existing products. The final concept has with its design gotten an exclusive expression which is further strengthened with new functions. The concept was developed in Pro Engineer (a 3D modelling program), with the exact measurements and parameters. The rendering process was later done with Autodesk Alias Studio to try to get the most realistic renderings possible.</p>

Johansson, Christer, Bergenkull, Mattias January 2007 (has links)
Därför gjordes designförslag på hjulet som helhet enligt de vanligt förekommande produktutvecklingsmetoderna.</p> / <p>Abstract</p><p>This master thesis considers the analysis and calculation of a modified bicycle hub, intended for a wheelchair, including design and material suggestions for the wheel.</p><p>The initial hub was a common bicycle hub, which had been worked on to accommodate the demands of a wheelchair user. The bicycles function of free wheel is not desirable and therefore taken out of the construction. The goal of the principal Gearwheel AB is to design a wheel, where nothing else differs from the current, than the gearing system. The feel of the wheel should be identical to the current regarding the geometry, play and vibration of the grip ring.</p><p>The gear wheel hub was assumed to be over dimensioned, and therefore analysis’s for each gear was modelled and calculated using ABAQUS. This was done for the purpose of finding alternative materials and reconstructions to minimize the weight of the hub. This was of great interest of the company for selling purposes. The hub is undoubtedly adding weight to the wheel compared to an ordinary wheel with just a single axle.</p><p>The calculations however showed that the torque affecting the gear parts did not differ much from the bicycle, which meant that material’s strength could not be changed to a greater extent. This restricted the material choice to materials similar to the existing stainless steel or titanium. Titanium, however, is an expensive and exclusive material and the use of it was considered limited.</p><p>The possibility of alternative materials was found in the cover of the hub, for the reason of lower strength demands than the inner parts of the hub. Therefore design suggestions were made for the entire wheel according to the common product development theories.</p>

Framtagning av ett förlängningsbart bord / Development of an extendable table

Malm, Filip, Olsson, Ida January 2015 (has links)
This report covers the product development of a new type of extendable table for the company Karl Andersson och Söner. The company wants to expand their product collection with a new product. Karl Andersson och Söner is a well-known family company that has been located in Huskvarna since 1898, and they are producing furniture for private- and the public environment. The aim with this project is that the product should lead to increased sales, as well as expand their collection to appeal a wider audience. The work is permeated by two issues, to achieve as good results as possible. The issues will bring up how to make a table better, in terms of the competitor’s options, and how to apply a design process to develop a table that meets the markets needs and requirements. The design process of the work consists of strategically picked parts from three separate design processes. Work began with identifying the competitor’s similar products and their advantages and disadvantages. Of the information gathered, a survey was created about extendable tables which were then translated into requirements. Furthermore, the customer’s needs and requirements were compiled from the survey together with the client’s requirements and put in the house of quality for quality function deployment, QFD. The use of QFD gave us the interwoven demands from both customer and client that was later compiled in a final specification. Furthermore, the sketching phase began where focus was put on the solution of the extendable mechanism, instead of the design of the table. In our case, we focused on finding a new and different solution that had not been seen before, based on the requirements that was compiled. The sketches on the extendable mechanism were evaluated using the Pugh Matrix together with the competitor’s mechanisms towards the specification, to see which solution met the requirements best. The result was that one of the competitor’s mechanism met the requirements best and the decision was taken to use the tested and well proven extendable mechanism as a starting point, but also to develop it further. The whole design of the table gradually took shape through sketches, which were inspired by a chair that is available in Karl Andersson och Söners product collection. The final product resulted in an extendable table based on the customers and the client’s guidelines and requirements.

Produktutveckling av suturankare för artroskopi

Foyer, Isabell, Jederström, Kathrina January 2015 (has links)
ABSTRACT The following report is a part of a thesis project for product development at an undergraduate level. The originator of the project is Orthopedic Care Scandinavia AB that is located in Stockholm and is focused on medical technology. The thesis comprises 15 credits and is carried out the spring semester of 2015 by the two authoring mechanical engineering students at Mälardalen University. The mission includes a product development concept of a surgical instrument detail used in endoscopic surgery. The detail is a suture anchor that is especially adapted to attach sutures for arthroscopic surgery, mostly for hip and shoulder repairs. The product development project has been conducted after an extensive study in medical technology and the regulations that are relevant for working in this subject area. The originator Ortopedic Care Scandinavia AB ordered the project with the hope of getting a concept that they would be able to patent, manufacture and produce for resale. The originator wanted a suture anchor with a simple mounting method, and with smaller dimensions than the suture anchors they are currently using. The product development study was based on the following problem formulation: • Does the product simplify the technical procedure for attachment of the suture when working with arthroscopy? • What is the most e fficient way to optimize the tension in the thread while putting the suture anchor into place? • What kind of changes of existing technical solutions is required for a new suture anchors to achieve a sufficient inventive step to be patentable? To achieve the goal of creating a new type of suture anchors the product development group made a comprehensive theoretical framework that includes both medical technology and product development. In order to scientifically establish its result a number of product development tools were used, including a competitive analysis of existing products in the market which analyze different types of fastening techniques and validate various properties of suture anchors. The result of the project work became the suture anchor Enkel Infästning that is presented in rendered CAD images and a description of the intended fastening technology. Arguments for height of the technical solution and what makes this invention patentable is presented in the results. Manufacturing method and strength strain is presented using computer-aided design tools where the simulation of injection molding is made and FEM analysis demonstrates that the construction of the product will contain for the intended purpose.

Produktutveckling av komfortlösning till lastbilshytt

Axén, Evelina, Lodestad, Martin January 2008 (has links)
This report describes a project carried out in cooperation with Klippan Safety AB. The purpose of this project has been to develop a product that facilitates the living area in a truck cabin for the customers. To be able to develop, in a structured way, that kind of product, the project has been based on different product development theories. The project contained of following parts: marketing research, product generation, product evaluation and prototyping. After information from the marketing research and discussions with the company, the decision was made that the task was going to consist an improvement of the existing product referred to as 'the comfort module'. This product is a bed module with extra storage, a washbasin with flowing water among other things. Further investigations showed that there is a need for a bed with variable width for the comfort module, to ease the use and increase comfort. After some time, it appeared that the difficulty in this project was going to be to develop a mattress to be adjustable in width. With this in mind, and the fact that the time was running out, the project only came to consider development of the mattress. During the generation of concepts, the work had to be divided into two parts: mattress filling and mattress clothing. For the expandable part of the mattress filling, the material IntelliGel was brought to light. The properties of this material were considered to fulfil many of the requirements that were set. But it has been difficulties to receive IntelliGel, and because of that the part of the mattress was missing in the result. Alternative solutions were searched for and proposal work has been given. The construction of the prototype has therefore been focused on manufacture the mattress clothing, where a few variants have been sewn and tested. To be able to test them properly, a testing frame has been used. The result came to be a mattress clothing with variable width, and the prototype showed how it worked together with a foam mattress in the testing frame of different bed widths. The finished prototype appears to have development possibilities, where a fully functional solution estimates to be possible. The conclusions and experiences that have been made from this project could therefore be helpful in further work.

Redesign av en vitlökspress

Dahl, Åsa January 2008 (has links)
Detta projekt benämns projektuppgift A i rapporten.
