Politicas e mecanismos de engenharia de trafego para redes MPLS/DS / Politics and traffic engineering mechanisms for MPLS/DS networks

Paixão, Valeria Jotta dos Reis 23 February 2007 (has links)
Orientador: Edmundo Roberto Mauro Madeira / Dissertação (mestrado profissional) - Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Instituto de Computação / Made available in DSpace on 2018-08-10T07:03:06Z (GMT). A current problem in the ¿Computer Network¿ world is to provide end-to-end QoS in the Internet to different users what means supply support to distinct types of services. Moreover, the demand for this support is increasing even more once the Internet is being handled not only for transferring files, accessing the web or for email tasks but also for multimedia applications, it means, services that require a more accurate transmission media. The proposal of this dissertation is to provide enhancements to an MPLS-DiffServ platform, making it up a more flexible and dynamic system to offer end-to-end QoS. The new features make use of types of traffic largely handled in the Internet as well as two monitor parameters, the LSP bandwidth and the levels of packet drop. The innovation comes in the format of new policies in order to manage the networks in case of break of agreements made with the clients, besides a new structure that was inserted in the ¿Traffic Engineering¿ mechanism that will help in a sense of deep analysis of the traffic in the LSP so that more accurate and fast decisions can be applied in order to recover ideal conditions to attend the expectations of the final users. On this framework the verification of the new improvements was done and, as a result, the system provided a successful response that copes with the ambition of making the platform an option tool for companies that wish to simulate new administrative policies just before to implement them in a real network that affects real users / Mestrado / Redes de Computadores / Mestre em Ciência da Computação

Supervisory methodology and notation (SUPERMAN) for human-computer system development

Yunten, Tamer January 1985 (has links)
The underlying goal of SUPERvisory Methodology And Notation (SUPERMAN) is to enhance productive operation of human-computer system developers by providing easy-to-use concepts and automated tools for developing high-quality (e.g., human-engineered, cost-effective, easy-to-maintain) target systems. The supervisory concept of the methodology integrates functions of many modeling techniques, and allows complete representation of the designer's conceptualization of a system's operation. The methodology views humans as functional elements of a system in addition to computer elements. Parts of software which implement human-computer interaction are separated from the rest of software. A single, unified system representation is used throughout a system lifecycle. The concepts of the methodology are notationally built into a graphical programming language. The use of this language in developing a system leads to a natural and orderly application of the methodology. / Ph. D. / incomplete_metadata

Viešųjų programų ir projektų valdymas įgyvendinant jaunimo politiką Lietuvoje / The management of Public Programmes and Projects‘ while implementing the Youth Policy in Lithuania

Vaisiūnaitė, Daiva 16 August 2007 (has links)
The final study of Master‘s analyses the management of public programmes and projects‘ while implementing the Youth Policy in Lithuania. On purpose to clarify the programmes and projects‘ management efficiency, this study discusses the main aspects of programmes, projects, programming management theoretical conceptions, the principles of „new public management“ and their importance in formation of the Youth Policy. Moreover, it analyses legal formation and implementation acts of public programmes and projects‘ of the Youth Policy. This study describes organizational structures, formation and implementation aspects of public programmes and projects of the Youth Policy, clarifies the advantages and disadvantages of evaluation system and developes the perspective of the Youth Policy formation in the EU context. In conclusion, the author‘s formed hypothesis is partly approved and the management of public programmes and projects‘ while implementing the Youth Policy in Lithuania satisfies programming and “new public management” principles: programmes are divided into projects, making programming plans and forming program budget. On the other hand, there aren‘t any clear and emphesised programmes‘ purposes and goals. Furthermore, there is no regulated accountability, expances but not results are financed.

A C Navigational System

Hammerquist, James D. (James Daniel) 05 1900 (has links)
The C Navigational System (CNS) is a proposed programming environment for the C programming language. The introduction covers the major influences of programming environments and the components of a programming environment. The system is designed to support the design, coding and maintenance phases of software development. CNS provides multiple views to both the source and documentation for a programming project. User-defined and system-defined links allow the source and documentation to be hierarchically searched. CNS also creates a history list and function interface for each function in a module. The final chapter compares CNS and several other programming environments (Microscope, Rn, Cedar, PECAN, and Marvel).

Uma analise sociopolitica do movimento de software livre e de codigo aberto / A sociopolitical analysis of the free software movement

Mazieres, Antoine Bernardo Marie 14 August 2018 (has links)
Orientador: Tom Dwyer / Dissertação (mestrado) - Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Instituto de Filosofia e Ciencias Humanas / Made available in DSpace on 2018-08-14T10:47:13Z (GMT). / Abstract: This dissertation presents some political and cultural significations of a Free Software Movement, understood as a heterogeneous aggregation of projects and communities. Then, the historical analysis of the "software object" shows how it become, in the first place, differentiated from the hardware and, then, secondly, closed as an end- product by the rising software companies. In this context, the Free Software Movement presents itself as a reaction to blackboxing phenomena, as well as a continuation of the computater engineering tradition of sharing knowledge freely. Therefore, FS Movement has become structured through diverse blends of Hacker Ethic and its own political agnosticism, in order to build a concrete technological alternative. This leads to the argument that sociopolitical characteristics of Free Software communities should be found in the very act of programming, and in its pragmatics as an art or a regulation. Finally, specific cases of several communities (gNewSense, Samba, BSD) are examined in an attempt to systematize their sociopolitical and technological positions of the contemporary technological movement. / Mestrado / Mestre em Ciência Política
