Bill, Štěpán January 2015 (has links)
The aim of this thesis is to compile a manual guide for choosing an appropriate information system to support the company e-learning process. I solved this particular problem by conducting both the analysis of the company and of the current trends in e-learning applications. I also assessed the existing situation and determined system requirements of the company. By carrying out my own survey I found out that implementing the optimal software helps to educate employees more effectively and brings savings and potential profits for the whole firm. The outcome of the thesis is a set of recommendations for the right choice of e-learning software as well as critical factors for the e-learning implementation project.

Promoting Educational Change: Reflections on a Namibian Non-Governmental Educational Organisation 1989 - 1992

Collett, Karen Suzette January 1999 (has links)
Magister Educationis - MEd / In this dissertation I set out to reflect on and examine a case study of a Namibian nongovernmental educational organisation (NGEO),the Primary Teachers Project (PTP),from 1989to 1992 focusing on issuesof educational change and the role of NGEO'sin this process. My aim is to highlight some of the factors which helped and hindered the Primary Teachers Project playing a role in educational change. The study focuses on the following four aspects: The Primary Teachers Project'sin-service education and training (INSET)model. The relationship between the Namibian Ministry of Education and the PTP. Funding relationships and their influence on the project's development. Internal dynamics within the Primary Teachers Project The dissertation begins by locating the Primary Teachers Project within the broader geographical, political and educational context of Namibia. The PTP's development between 1989 and 1992is then described. The four focus areas above are highlighted within the case study. Topical reflections on each of these areas are integrated with relevant national and international literature on INSET, educational change and the role of NGEO's. Central learnings with regard to the PTP and its role in educational change in Namibia are raised. Some of the key factors which worked for and against this NGEO's influence on educational change are highlighted. Finally, I make a number of general recommendations with regard to the role of NGEO's in the Southern African context. This study raises key factors relating to the influence of NGEO's on educational change. These are: NGEO's need to develop their understanding of the complexity of educational change processes, in order to inform INSET strategies. School-focused INSET models need to strengthen strategies for follow-up support to assist teachers to implement new ideas and practices. A combination of curriculum-based INSET and organisation development support needs to be provided at the school level to assist educational change. Organisation development processes within NGEO's can strengthen their internal capacity and critically inform their INSET strategies. NGEO's need to research and reflect on their practice and disseminate their findings, in order to improve their own practice and influence educational change at other levels of the educational system, Collaboration between different INSET providers builds the capacity for sustainability of educational change processes at school level and supports NGEO's in disseminating their knowledge and expertise throughout the formal educational system. An enabling INSET policy framework is required at national and local level to support INSET work in schools and assist the work of NGEO's and donors.

Цифровая трансформация организации на примере СК «Kwon» : магистерская диссертация / Digital transformation of the organization on the example of the SC “Kwon”

Шахматов, О. Р., Shahmatov, O. R. January 2022 (has links)
The trend towards the economy digitalization significantly changes the economic reality, penetrating into all business processes of companies. In the global sports industry, the introduction of the latest digital tools is usually associated with improving the quality of training methods, advanced analysis of various sports indicators. Digitalization also makes it possible to simplify the process of organizing sports events, interaction with participants of competitions, including in virtual space. Nowadays, the introduction of digital tools in the field of physical culture and sports in Russia is poorly developed. Despite the widespread digitalization of the economy, most sports organizations are in no hurry to introduce digital tools. The problem of slow digital transformation of the sports sphere is relevant due to a lack of understanding of the positive effects of such transformation and doubts about their economic feasibility. The purpose of the work is to develop and evaluate the effectiveness of the digital transformation project of the sports club “Kwon”. The practical significance lies in the possibility of applying the developed digitalization project in the practice of other sports clubs, as well as the subsequent scaling of the results obtained at various levels: from regional to federal.

Labour Intensive Public Work (LIPW) Programme as an empowerment tool for youth development : the Ghanaian experience

Eshun, Samuel Nuamah 02 1900 (has links)
The Labour Intensive Public Work (LIPW) programme under the Ghana Social Opportunity Project (GSOP), is a social protection programme initiated by the Government of Ghana, to offer jobs and income earning opportunities to some targeted rural residents, especially the youth, through the application of labour intensive technology in the construction of community infrastructure that has the potential of generating secondary employment. This is a mixed method study sought to provide an account on the Ghanian version of LIPW programmes. The study assessed and identified the challenges facing the programme implementation from beneficiary and implementers’ perspective in order to set the platform for an interactive feedback between project implementers and community members for the smooth implementation of future LIPW programmes. The study also assessed the impact of the programme on poverty and migration among the youth in Ghana. In identifying the challenges facing the programme from implementers’ perspective, 15 key project implementers were interviewed. An interview guide and a questionnaire were also developed to collect data from 500 beneficiaries of the programme to know their challenges. In assessing the impact of the programme on migration among the youth, questionnaires were administered to 239 households in beneficiary communities and 189 households from non-beneficiary communities of the LIPW programme. Finally, data was collected from 90 youth who benefited from the programme and 90 youth who did not benefit from the programme to compare and determine the extent to which the programme has contributed in reducing poverty among the youth. The study revealed that the key challenge facing the programme implementation from the implementers’ perspective is capacity problem involving, inadequacy of staff to implement the programme at the district level, frequent breakdown of vehicles for monitoring, and delays in the release of funds for commencement of project. Beneficiaries of the programme also indicated that they were not satisfied with the amount of money they were receiving as wage for their labour. They were also unhappy with the delays in payment of their wages and the period of engagement in the programme. The study found out that the LIPW programme under the GSOP has not contributed in reducing migration among the youth. However, the programme has contributed to reducing poverty among the youth. The study therefore recommends that capacity gap analysis conducted before project initiation should include adequacy of staff and logistics to cater for any deficiency. It is strongly recommended that beneficiaries of the programme should be consulted in setting the wage rate to avoid resentment provoking misunderstanding between beneficiaries and project implementers. The study further recommended that the government should scale up the programme to cover more communities in order to reduce poverty among the youth in Ghana. Finally, the study proposed a new model for LIPW for the youth known as ‘LIPW +3Cs’. This model incorporates three Cs, that is ‘C’ompetence’, ‘C’onnections’ and ‘C’haracter’ into LIPW programmes. ‘LIPW +3Cs’ will not only train youth to secure jobs after the programme (Competence) but will assist them to establish a network among themselves and other supporting institutions (Connections). Issues of character which encompases a sense of right and wrong will also be inculcated in the youth to assist them to function effectively in the society (Character). / Adult Basic Education (ABET) / D.
