Uma ColÃnia de GÃneros AnÃncios

CoordenaÃÃo de AperfeiÃoamento de Pessoal de NÃvel Superior / Esta pesquisa pretende investigar uma possÃvel colÃnia de gÃneros anÃncios, atravÃs da anÃlise das categorias propÃsitos comunicativos, suportes e estilo. Adotamos a proposta teÃrico-metodolÃgica de Bhatia (1993; 2004), para a caracterizaÃÃo da colÃnia em estudo. Seguimos tambÃm as concepÃÃes de Bakhtin ([1953] 2000), Carvalho (1996), Marcuschi (2003), Askehave & Swales (2001) e Swales (2004), para o desenvolvimento desta investigaÃÃo. Para a realizaÃÃo da pesquisa, coletamos um corpus, composto por 72 textos impressos, assim distribuÃdos: 15 anÃncios institucionais, 15 anÃncios classificados, 12 anÃncios fÃnebres, 15 anÃncios publicitÃrios e 15 resenhas publicitÃrias. A metodologia, adotada de Bhatia (1993; 2004), e os critÃrios de anÃlise, representados pelas categorias propÃsitos comunicativos, suportes e estilo, possibilitaram a compreensÃo do fenÃmeno da colÃnia de gÃneros anÃncios cujos textos mantÃm uma relaÃÃo de distinÃÃo e semelhanÃa. Inicialmente, investigamos ânoveâ textos: 1. anÃncio publicitÃrio (de revista), 2. anÃncio publicitÃrio (de folder), 3. anÃncio publicitÃrio (de outdoor), 4. anÃncio institucional (de revista), 5. anÃncio institucional (de folder), 6. anÃncio institucional (de outdoor), 7. anÃncio fÃnebre (de jornal), 8. anÃncio classificado (de jornal), 9. resenha publicitÃria (de revista). Como resultado da anÃlise, identificamos os gÃneros anÃncios seguintes: anÃncio publicitÃrio, anÃncio classificado, anÃncio fÃnebre e anÃncio institucional. Em suma, nÃo fechamos a colÃnia de gÃneros anÃncios e sugerimos a ampliaÃÃo dessa colÃnia. / This research aims at investigating a possible advertisements genres colony through the analyses of communicative purpose, supports and styles categories. In order to characterize the colony under analysis, I adopt Bhatia‟s theoretical and methodological proposal (1993; 2004). I also followed Bakhtin‟s ([1953] 2000), Carvalho‟s (1996), Marcuschi‟s (2003), Askehave & Swales‟s (2001) and Swales‟s (2004) conceptions, to further the development of this investigation. In order to carry out this research, a corpus composed by 72 printed texts was collected which is so distributed: 15 institutional advertisements, 15 classified advertisements, 12 funeral notes, 15 publicity advertisements and 15 publicity reviews. The adoption of Bhatia‟s (1993; 2004) methodology, and the analyses criteria, represented by the communicative purpose, supports and styles categories, has made possible the understanding of the advertisements genres colony phenomenon in which texts maintain a similarity/distinction relationship. On the basis of the mentioned criteria, and, in order to verify if they were part of the genres colony under analysis, nine text types were analysed. These were as follows: 1. publicity advertisements (from magazines), 2. publicity advertisements (from folders), 3. publicity advertisements (from outdoors), 4. institutional advertisements (from magazines), 5. institutional advertisements (from folders), 6. institutional advertisements (from outdoors), 7. funeral advertisements (from newspapers), 8. classified advertisements (from newspapers), 9. publicity reviews (from magazines). As a result of the analysis, the following advertisements genres were identified: publicity advertisement, classified advertisement, funeral advertisement and institutional advertisement. Finally, I opt not to close the advertisements genres colony and suggest its expansion.

Multimodalidade e propÃsitos comunicativos no gÃnero homepage institucional / MMultimodality and communicative purposes in genre institutional homepage

nÃo hà / Os gÃneros textuais digitais apresentam caracterÃsticas prÃprias decorrentes, especialmente, dos recursos que o meio oferece, como por exemplo, as organizaÃÃes multimodais, os elementos hipertextuais e os propÃsitos comunicativos. Partindo desse pressuposto, objetivamos, nesta pesquisa, analisar os recursos multimodais, os elementos hipertextuais e os propÃsitos comunicativos, que contribuem para a constituiÃÃo do gÃnero textual homepage institucional. Para tanto, esta tese està fundamentada na AnÃlise SociossemiÃtica Multimodal, que encontra amparo na proposta da GramÃtica do Design Visual (KRESS; VAN LEEUWEN, [1996] 2006), nos estudos da hipertextualidade digital (COSCARELLI, 1999; 2009; RIBEIRO, 2008; ARAÃJO; LIMA-NETO, 2012) e dos propÃsitos comunicativos (ASKEHAVE; SWALES, 2001; SWALES, 2004; BEZERRA, 2009; BIASI-RODRIGUES; BEZERRA, 2012). Com base no modelo de anÃlise de gÃnero proposto por Vijay Bhatia (2004), estabelecemos uma metodologia de anÃlise de gÃnero textual digital, que forneceu os subsÃdios necessÃrios ao percurso de investigaÃÃo das homepages de universidades federais e assim alcanÃarmos os objetivos pretendidos a esta pesquisa. As anÃlises desta investigaÃÃo revelam que o gÃnero textual em questÃo à caracterizado pelo visual/grÃfico que se destaca em detrimento do estritamente verbal, de forma a promover a integraÃÃo multimodal/hipertextual e a configurar a lÃgica organizacional do gÃnero. Portanto, mais do que simplesmente oferecer sinopses, chamadas e sumÃrios do conteÃdo do site e apresentar cores, formas, imagens, atravÃs de seus recursos multimodais prÃprios, o gÃnero textual homepage institucional de universidades federais pretende atrair o leitor e fortalecer a identidade da instituiÃÃo, procurando estabelecer uma imagem pÃblica desejada. AlÃm disso, o gÃnero textual homepage institucional de nÃo fornece ao leitor todo conteÃdo do site, mas apresenta uma seleÃÃo de conteÃdos determinados por seus administradores que se baseiam naquilo que acreditam que irà satisfazer as necessidades e os anseios do leitor/usuÃrio. / The digital genres are characterized by such features as multimodal organizations, hypertext elements and communicative purposes. These, in turn, are the product of the unique resources of the environment. According to this assumption, in this research, we aim to analyze the multimodal resources, the hypertext elements and communicative purposes that contribute to the formation of the institutional homepage text genre. These include multimodal resources, hypertext elements and communicative purposes. To this end, this thesis is based on the Social Semiotic Multimodal Analysis, which finds support in the proposed Grammar of Visual Design (KRESS; VAN LEEUWEN, 1996; 2006), in studies of digital hypertextuality (COSCARELLI, 1999; 2009; RIBEIRO, 2008; ARAÃJO; LIMA-NETO, 2012), and in communicative purposes (ASKEHAVE; SWALES, 2001; SWALES, 2004; BEZERRA, 2009; BIASI-RODRIGUES; BEZERRA, 2012). Based on the genre analysis model proposed by Vijay Bhatia (2004), we established a methodology for analyzing digital genre which supported the investigation process of the federal universitiesâ homepages. This allowed us to achieve the desired goals of this research. The analyses of this investigation show that the genre in question is characterized by the visual/graphic dimension over the strictly verbal in order to promote multimodal and hypertextual integration, and set up the organizational logic of the genre. Therefore, rather than simply offering synopses, calls and summaries of the website content, presentation of colors, shapes, images through its own multimodal resources, the institutional homepage genre aims to engage the reader while strengthening the institutionâs identity and helping to establish the desired public image. Moreover, the institutional homepage genre does not provide the reader with all site content, but presents a selection of content determined by their administrators. The selection criteria are based on what they believe will meet the needs and wishes of the reader/user.

GÃnero Carta-corrente Digital: Estudo Dos Aspectos Formais e Funcionais / Digital Chain-letter As A Genre: A Study About Formal And Functional Values

FundaÃÃo de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado do Cearà / Enviadas por e-mail a diversos destinatÃrios, as cartas-corrente surgem cada vez mais freqÃentes nos correios eletrÃnicos. Este trabalho de pesquisa analisa as cartas-corrente digitais por meio de uma orientaÃÃo sÃcio-retÃrica de gÃneros e possui fundamentaÃÃo teÃrica composta pelos postulados de Bakhtin (1981, 1997), passando por concepÃÃes atuais de Swales (1990, 1992) e Bhatia (1993, 2004). A pesquisa nos permitiu alcanÃar os objetivos especÃficos de identificaÃÃo das cartas-corrente e diferenciaÃÃo dos outros gÃneros que circulam por e-mail, analisar seus propÃsitos comunicativos especÃficos e identificar as regularidades formais e funcionais encontradas nos exemplares. Observamos que nas cartas-corrente digitais, assim como em outros gÃneros, os aspectos formais e funcionais estÃo intimamente ligados e que as tornam diferentes entre si à o uso dos recursos lingÃÃsticos e de apresentaÃÃo da ordem de idÃias, que estÃo ligados ao tema apresentado e ao conhecimento institucional do ambiente de replicaÃÃo. A anÃlise nos permitiu identificar as regularidades da carta-corrente digital e alguns aspectos que sÃo especÃficas do prÃprio gÃnero nÃo apenas por se tratar de uma mensagem que circula por e-mail, mas por levar em consideraÃÃo as peculiaridades desse meio, as estratÃgias de escrita e a abordagem de assuntos que configuram como especÃficos. / This research analyzes the digital chain letters through the sociorethoric perspective of gender, that consider speech gender as an interaction process between people and places where it is in. The approach of textual gender discourse is based on propositions of Bakhtin (1981, 1997), Swales (1990, 1992) and Bhatia (1993, 2004). The corpus is composed of 36 digital chain letters copies. The methodology procedure is based on Bhatia (1993) and allowed us to identify digital chain letters by others genders that are in the web. The main purpose is to analyze the formal and functional aspects of digital chain letters and the specific objectives are: to analyze digital chain letters specifics purposes; to identify the standardized form characteristics; to analyze the standardized functional characteristics in the samples. The characteristics analyzed showed the essence of digital medium inside the texts. Evidenced, either, a standardized constitution of linguistics and functional aspects, that are connected to their specific purposes and have digital evidence inside constitution and text.
