This work proposes the design of a low cost cylindrical robotic manipulator actuated pneumatically with 5 degrees of freedom. This robot is being developed to perform manipulation of parts, aiming to replace tasks usually performed in unhealthy environment and/or repetitive actions in which the requirements of accuracy, speed and load capacity are limited. The project requirements were obtained through a research in a manual tools factory. It is proposed a geometry that is intended to meet a significant amount of the usual moving parts demands in manufacturing industries and its corresponding nonlinear dynamic theoretic model, considering the pneumatic actuators model coupled to the mechanical system. Finally, the application of a linear control-law based on the technique of state feedback with design made by pole assignment using a linearized model of 3rd order is described. For validation of the theoretic model and proposed control algorithm are presented simulations of point to point regulation problem and trajectory tracking. The results show that the positioning accuracy of the end effector is suitable for achieving the planned tasks.

Previous issue date: 2012-04-27 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPES / This work presents the position control of a robotic manipulator with two
degrees of freedom. Such control is accomplished by applying a multilayer neural
network, emulating a PD2 controller. The choice of the number of neurons in the hidden
layer is made with the aid of a Genetic Algorithm, whose role is to generate populations
where individuals will be the number of neurons in the hidden layer and evaluate the
performance of the control system when subjected to different references signals. The
two best individuals of each generation will give origin to the population of the next
iteration, noting the probabilities of crossover and mutation, using the criterion of
elitism as a warranty of optimization. The evaluation of the overall performance of the
control system, in turn, is based on trajectory following response (sinusoidal reference
signals) and on position response (step reference signals).
submetido a diferentes referências.
posicionamento (sinais do tipo degrau).

Light-weight robotic manipulators have advantages over the cost of production and efficiency in relation to payload and weight of the robot. However, the use of light-weight materials tends to increase structural flexibility in torque transmission and in the links of the robot. The manipulator proposals presented in this work have conflicting requirements since it is desired to reduce the weight of the mechanisms and increase the performance, it makes some engineering challenges. Thus, this thesis deals with mechanical modeling, dynamic analysis and hybrid control, using intelligent actuators, for robotic manipulators with flexible characteristics. Two models of robotic manipulators with flexible characteristics will be considered in this work: one for payload connected to a cable and another one for rotary tool, both with non-ideal interaction of the manipulated element. It is possible to verify chaotic behavior by adding the load to the manipulators, becoming a great challenger to the proposal control. DC motors and actuators classified as intelligent materials such as the shape memory alloy (SMA), acting on the flexible links, and Magneto-Rheological Brake (MR-Brake), acting on the flexible joints, are used in the strategy control. The neural network RBF was used to estimate the control variables of the SMA and MR-Brake actuators. The DSDRE (Discrete State Dependent Ricatti Equation) control is used as the control law. The numerical results show that the addition of hybrid actuators possibly have a considerable gain in the control of vibration and positioning of the manipulators.

Robotický manipulátor prostředky CGA / Robotic manipulator based on CGAStodola, Marek January 2019 (has links)
Conformal geometric algebra is defined in the thesis. Representations of geometric objects and possibilities of their geometric transformations are presented. Conformal geometric algebra is applied to the calculation of forward kinematics of a robotic manipulator UR10 from Universal Robots. It is also applied to determine the position of the machine based on the location and rotation of two cameras. Then it is used in an inverse task, where based on records from the two cameras, dimensions of the UR10 manipulator and possibilities of its movement, the mutual position of these cameras is determined. And consequently the possibilities of their location in space. Finally, the derived procedures are implemented in a custom program created in the CluCalc environment, using which a sample example verifying the correctness of these procedures is calculated.

Vestavěné zařízení pro řízení robotické ruky / Embedded Device for Robotic Arm ControlKyzlink, Jiří January 2020 (has links)
This diploma thesis deals with a design and implementation of an embedded device (module), used to control a robotic manipulator. The module instructs servomotors of the manipulator to move according to the commands received via USB interface. The module consists of two double-sided printed circuit boards. The first one allows connection to the CAN bus, redundant and thus reliable power supply for servomotors as well as the whole module. The second board, compute oriented one, embeds powerful microcontroller used to communicate with the servomotors and to solve the kinematics tasks. As a part of the thesis a graphical user interface as well as a web-oriented interface were developed. Both interfaces allow full control of the manipulator. All the communicating buses, tools and methods used during the design and implementation phases of the work are described in the thesis. Finally, measurements proved improvement of the motion smoothness and response times in several orders of magnitude in comparison to the previous system.
