Vznik, zánik a pozastavení výkonu funkce člena orgánu kapitálové obchodní společnosti / Creation, termination and suspension of function of a member of a limited company body

Maslova, Darya January 2020 (has links)
Creation, termination and suspension of function of a member of a limited company body Abstract This thesis deals with the issues of creation, termination and suspension of function of a member of a limited company body and focuses on a relatively narrow aspect of the said topic related to the institute of codetermination in relation to the creation, termination and suspension of function of a member of a supervisory board of a joint stock company. Currently effective legislation contains significant gaps and it causes certain interpretation ambiguities and prevents the proper use of the institute of codetermination in practice. The present work is mainly aimed at identification of problem points and analysis of the most important controversial issues of the current legislation in the field of codetermination and aspires to their comprehensive solution. The work also takes into account the legislative changes effective from January 1, 2021 and evaluates their potential benefits regarding elimination of the identified shortcomings. The work is divided into four chapters. The first chapter contains the definition of the term codetermination and provides an overview of how this legal institution is regulated within the legal orders of selected foreign countries and at the European Union level. Following...

Analýza ruské spolupráce s členskými státy Arktické rady v oblasti ekologie / The analysis of the Russian environmental cooperation with the Arctic Council member states

Němá, Olga January 2020 (has links)
The recently intensifying climate changes enable a large-scale economic development of the Arctic region. This region is characterized by the vast hydrocarbon resources, but also by the unique fragile ecosystem. Therefore, any economic development must be aligned with environmental protection. This protection is encouraged by the leading intergovernmental institution in this area, the Arctic Council. This master thesis aims to analyse Russian environmental cooperation with the Arctic coastal states within the Arctic Council. Its structure follows a theoretical framework, introduced by the liberal intergovernmentalism. Firstly, formation of Russian national Arctic interests is analysed, using the key legal documents. Secondly, Russia's participation in the Arctic Council is studied. Thirdly, bilateral environmental cooperation between Russia and other four Arctic coastal states is analysed. Based on the performed research, the Russian Federation is aware, that reaching its very ambitious plans for economic development of the Arctic is only possible along with improvement of environmental protection. Russia cannot ensure this alone and therefore it actively seeks international cooperation. The research also pointed out, that before the establishment of the Arctic Council, the bilateral cooperation...

Zhodnocení efektivity Rady bezpečnosti OSN: případ operací v afrických zemích / Assessing the Effectiveness of the United Nations Security Council: case of operations in the African countries

Viryasova, Natalia January 2020 (has links)
Over the past decades, peace missions of the United Nations on the African continent succeed and failed. This thesis attempts to ascertain how success or failure can be explained. For assessment, the success criteria are derived from the academic literature and subsequently implemented into the hypotheses. Relevant indicators concerning peacekeeping success are used in African cases. The effectiveness of UN missions is fully investigated on UNOCI in Côte d'Ivoire, MONUC in the Democratic Republic of Congo, and UNMIL in Liberia. Then the results were compared in tested hypotheses. The findings show that host country's consent and willingness to cooperate, alongside the active engagement of major power, a clear, appropriate and achievable mandate, and the consistency of the UN's commitment to conflict resolution proved to be the most important factors for the peacekeeping effectiveness. The diplomacy and attention, given to underlying causes of conflicts, also contributed to the successful outcomes. The ethnic component and participating regional organisations, in contrast, overcomplicated the peace efforts but did not have a direct impact on missions' effectiveness. The effect of the missions' duration was found to be irrelevant, while ties to success with criteria of national ownership and...

Accessing the challenges facing Ghanian Economy in Tax Revenue Mobilization (Case Study: Agona Swedru Municipal Assembly)

Amo-Baiden, Ebenezer January 2019 (has links)
My research study was conducted to identify the challenges facing the Ghanaian Economy in Tax Revenue Mobilization with the case of the Agona Swedru Municipal Assembly (ASMA). The goal of my research was to determine the internal revenue practices of the Municipal and to identify ways of enhancing tax revenue mobilization effectively and efficiently. The research design chosen for my study was the case study, and the research approach that was used in the survey for my data collection included both qualitative and quantitative methods. A survey was conducted using the staff and management of ASMA, taxpayers and tax collectors in the Municipal. The study revealed that the infrastructure and developmental project provided by ASMA is not adequate. It also explained that ASMA is not doing enough to motivate the resident to fulfil their financial obligations. There were so many revenue leakages involving the ASMA of the tax revenue collectors. The conclusion drawn from my research indicated that the ASMA is not sufficiently using its fiscal decentralization to empower its self under the Local Government Act, Act 462(1993) for that matter it has not developed new and sustainable strategies to improve its performance of tax revenue mobilization. The ASMA relies more on the MACF to meets its expenses than finding ways to generate their revenue. ASMA must change their strategies to improve their tax revenue mobilization. The ASMA in other to enhance their tax revenue mobilization base should organize regular tax revenue programs and set in place mechanisms for checking tax revenue collected, there should be the formation of a constant revenue tax force and lastly providing uniforms and budges for tax revenue collectors to work effectively and for easy identification. The tax collected by the ASMA should be used for the provision of social amenities for the various districts to encourage tax payment.

Změna role předsednictví po Lisabonské smlouvě na příkladu Španělska a Belgie / Change of the Presidency's Role after the Lisbon Treaty on the example of Spain and Belgium

Grulichová, Zuzana January 2013 (has links)
The Lisbon Treaty has made significant changes to the institutional functioning of the whole system of the European Union. Most notably, it has constituted a non-rotating long-term Presidency for the European Council and Foreign Affairs Council. Before the Lisbon Treaty, the Member State of the European Union presided over all Council constellations, including the European Council, for a six-month term. These changes certainly contributed to the solution of some issues (for instance continuity issues), on the other hand these changes affected in some ways the performance of the rotating Presidency. I focus on these changes to the institutional form of the Presidency and on the effects these changes had on the Presidency's performance in its functions, namely the negotiation and external representation. I draw on the experience of the first two post-Lisbon Presidencies, Spanish and Belgian one. My aim is to examine the changing role of the Presidency in these functions. I explore the role of the Presidency before and during negotiations of the founding Treaties of the European Union and its role after the reforms introduced by the Lisbon Treaty. Mainly, I focus on examining the relationship between the rotating Presidency and newly-established permanent Presidency of the European Council and High...

The thesis focuses mainly on the relationship of political power and the media, answers the question of how political power in both countries seeks to enter into the financing and control of public media.

L'Historia gothica de Rodrigue Jimenez de Rada (1243) : écriture et discours

Jean-Marie Guirardel, Stéphanie 07 December 2007 (has links) (PDF)

Rozhlas na rozcestí trhu a veřejného zájmu - politická ekonomie hudby na stanici Český rozhlas Radiožurnál / The political economy of czech public service radio broadcasting channel one music

Špina, Adam January 2014 (has links)
This diploma thesis researches music dramaturgy of Czech public service radio Channel One (Radiožurnál) and pursues the goal of exploring hidden relations of political economy influencing its shape. The dramaturgy itself had been long criticised from both the public and experts and finally led to a public workshop held by the institution governing the broadcaster at arm's distance - The Council of Czech Radio in December 2011. The diploma thesis investigates the field of traditional requirements imposed on public service broadcasters as well as the redefinition of public service broadcasting due to market liberalisation and rise of new media in digital environment. For further context, the structural function of music in different types of societies is discussed; attention is also paid to relation of music and public service radio and normative demands for broadcasted music. Music dramaturgy of Czech Radio Channel One is then compared to two commercial broadcasters (Impuls and Evropa 2) on which only limited legal regulations are imposed. The final research describes public discussion over the channel's music and verifies legitimacy of complaints (which included too frequent repetition of songs and artists, few songs of one artist in database only or obscolencence of broadcasted music not giving a lead to...

Humanitární intervence a zodpovědnost za ochranu v době syrské krize / Humanitarian intervention and the Responsibility to Protect during the Syrian crisis

Hrčková, Jana January 2014 (has links)
The aim of the work is to analyze the concepts of humanitarian intervention and responsibility to protect (R2P) with special emphasis on their development in the light of the ongoing Syrian crisis. The text follows the evolution of humanitarian intervention into R2P and introduces theoretical assumptions behind both concepts. It is argued that at the moment, R2P does not bring particularly novel concepts into the international law and can be generally described as a hybrid of legal, political and moral obligations. Consequently, the text includes a case study of the Syrian conflict and an evaluation of the way R2P has been applied during the crisis. Final section of the work is devoted to a suggestion of a new solution for R2P - responsibility while protecting.
