This thesis "The Characteristic of Weekly newspaper Krkonošská pravda " i s focused on the district newspaper of Trutnov district. Krkonošská pravda based in 1960-1990. This thesis describes the first ten years of this weekly newspaper, which means it is focused on the issues from the years 1960-1969. Krkonošská pravda was political journal published by OV KSČ and ONV in Trutnov. The work focuses on the function of the district newspaper, its content and graphic design. Diploma thesis "The Magazine Krakonos During the Period of Austria-Hungary" deals with the development and with the content of the magazine Krakonos in the period of Austria- Hungary. The magazine was published in Jičín during 1872-1875, 1879-1914, 1918-1941. It is the longest-published magazine in the Czech area of those days. Nowadays, the magazine is an important source of knowledge of contemporary life in the area. The author of this thesis describes the historical context as well as social and cultural conditions under which the magazine was published. Afterwards, the author describes the development of the magazine and its publishing and editorial changes between1872-1941. The author uses a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods to analyse the content of the magazine between 1872- 1918. The results of research are described in the summary.

O que se reflete de maneira mais específica - porque mais próxima e intensa - em relação àquele veiculado através da imprensa regional, a exemplo da região do Recôncavo, onde se instalaram as primeiras redações de periódicos impressos fora da capital, já no século XIX. Tal relação se dá não apenas através das especificidades da narrativa jornalística, que moldam sua natureza institucional e a própria estratégia discursiva em suas relações de poder, mas inclusive na atribuição de sentidos e na (re)formulação do real. Para avaliar com maior profundidade tal questão, é necessário lançar mão de reflexões teóricas construídas no campo da análise do discurso e da formação de referências para a identidade cultural. O objetivo, neste sentido, está em apreender este jeito Recôncavo de ser baiano. Como este discurso propõe, molda, configura e reforça identidades culturais que buscam determinar como deve e como pode ser o nativo desta região. Para tanto, foi realizada uma análise do espaço conferido a essa produção nas páginas do jornal "Diário da Serra", o único veículo impresso de circulação diária produzido no município citado e, no atual momento, a principal referência jornalística da cidade. Presente em 23 municípios paulistas, a Unesp tem um peso social e econômico muito expressivo em Botucatu. This diploma thesis named Media image of the Prague Spring and beginning of normalization in selected East Bohemian print media shows the impact of Prague spring and beginning of normalization on chosen East Bohemian print media. Those are regional newspaper Pochoden, district newspaper Zar and magazine Spiritus, which was created and published by students of University of Chemical Technology in Pardubice city. Both regional newspaper Pochoden and district newspaper Zar were organs of Communist party of Czechoslovakia. For better understanding how big the change was I also worked with these three newspapers during the years 1967 and 1969 (beginning of normalization), so readers can understand how much the writing and content of media evolved during the year 1968. When possible (signed article) I tried to focuse on each journalist and his or hers evolve during analysed years. I was focusing not only on articles written by journalists, but during this time the newspapers published letters from readers, so I can compare which letters were published in 1967, 1968 and 1969. I have chosen this theme because I was born and raised at East Bohemia and my bachelor thesis worked with similar topic (Media image of the Velvet Revolution in Pardubice city), only this time I do not focus solely on Pardubice city....

The main aim of my diploma thesis is to capture the development of the periodic press in Cheb after the end of the Second World War. It is a period which brought extensive demographic and socio-economic changes to Czechoslovakia and especially the border regions. That is why this topic must be set in a wider context. At the beginning, I describe the history of the Cheb region, which, from its earliest history, had a distinct position within our country. I also researched the general issue of Czech-German relations after the foundation of the independent Czechoslovak Republic. A chapter in the thesis deals specifically with what happened during the Second World War in Cheb. The main emphasis is however on the first months in the Cheb region after the war. The reason for this is that it was a period of essential reversal in Cheb. Everything that used to be German was now to become Czech. It was essential for the newcomers to receive information in their mother tongue. The core of the thesis is the development of the Czech regional press in the Cheb region. In the year 1945 there only was a single journal published in Cheb - Chebsko. My thesis will present this journal, which first came out shortly after the end of the Second World War. The diploma thesis deals with the regional press in Jáchymovsko between 1936 and 1958. Its aim is to map the development of the press in this locality. It approaches the history of the place, social, economic and demographic aspects for a defined period, which is important to outline for understanding the linkages with the press. The first part of the thesis presents the basic data about the locality from a geographic and historical point of view. It also shows the period after the First World War, the emergence of Czechoslovakia and the new delimitation of the state borders associated with the change of status of the German population in the border area, the thirties of the twentieth century and the Second World War, after which the redefinition of the frontiers of Czechoslovakia took place. Then the end of the Second World War and the demographic change in the Sudetes, the crucial year of 1948 and the onset of the communist regime, are mapped out. Aunque el mercado de diarios impresos se contrae año a año, el mercado regional aún es muy atractivo y hay potencial para desarrollar e incrementar las ventas mediante campañas promocionales. Más aún si la promoción está dirigida específicamente a las regiones del interior del país de la mano de un diario local, de tradición y bien posicionado. Hemos identificado que las promociones son trabajadas en su mayoría por diarios populares y principalmente capitalinos. Consideramos que podemos capitalizar mejor y tener una muy buena aceptación si se trabaja con un diario local, dirigido al segmento de lectores que prefieren comprar el diario local y que valoran las promociones. Según el análisis realizado, del total de lectores de diarios impresos, el 25% lee o prefiere leer diarios serios y el 75% prefiere diarios populares o deportivos; consideramos que debemos actuar en este nicho de mercado debido a que las necesidades de este segmento seleccionado no están totalmente cubiertas por otros medios y es una excelente alternativa para trabajar con un diario local bien posicionado en regiones. Para validar la propuesta de las promociones en un diario local y serio hemos llevado a cabo un sondeo en las diferentes ciudades del Perú, donde queda demostrado que las promociones son bastante valoradas por el público objetivo y casi el 60% de los encuestados afirman que cambiarían de diario si les ofrecen una buena y atractiva promoción. Los KPIs que demuestran que esta propuesta es viable son: el incremento de venta de diarios en 3% y la venta de publicidad en 5%, obteniendo un VAN de S/ 1´001,326. Cabe recalcar que nuestra propuesta promocional fue realizada durante los años 2018 y 2019 antes de que se diera inicio a la pandemia Covid-19, por lo que la propuesta podría tener cambios importantes dado el nuevo contexto y el tiempo que dure la pandemia. / We have worked in this opportunity to growth sales in a regional newspaper, because although the printed newspaper market shrinks year by year, the regional market is still very attractive and there is a potential to develop and increase sales through attractive promotional campaigns. Even more if the promotion is specifically targeted at a Peruvian particular region from the hand of a local newspaper, well positioned and traditional. We have identified that the promotions are mostly worked by the “popular newspapers¨ and mainly in the capital Lima. We believe that we can better capitalize and have a very good acceptance, if we work with a local newspaper, focused at the segment of readers who prefer to buy the local newspaper and who value promotions. According to the analysis, of the total number of readers of printed newspapers, 25% read or prefer reading serious newspapers, and 75% prefer popular newspapers and sports news; we consider that we must act in this market, because of the needs of this selected segment are not fully covered by others, and it is an excellent alternative to work with a well-positioned local newspaper in Peruvian regions. To validate the proposal of the promotions in a local and serious newspaper we have taken a survey in the different cities of Peru, where it is shown that the promotions are highly valued by the target audience and almost 60% of respondents say they would change the newspaper if they offer them a good and attractive promotion. The KPIs that demonstrate that this proposal is viable are: the increase in newspaper sales by 3% and the sale of advertising by 5%, obtaining a NPV of S / 1'001,326. Main goal of this thesis is research of everyday life specifics in Cheb region as a region on the west border of the former Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and eventual interception of these specifics in regional or national press in last twenty years before the Velvet Revolution. The base for the research became the weekly magazine Hraničář as the only regional newspaper published throughout the whole studied period and the research was conducted using searches of the sample chosen in advance (years 1970, 1971, 1980, 1981, 1989, 1990). Any predicative facts about the local newspapers, the composition of the editorial staff and possible editors impact (respectively presumed inability to influence) on the newspaper content in a system of directive management and reflections of the Chebsko region as a border region in the immediate vicinity of the Iron Curtain were of interest of the research. The core of the work is to draw a picture of everyday life of "ordinary" citizens of the region with regard to the above facts and focusing on different aspects of life in society such as the local economy, agriculture or cultural, sport and social life in the city.
