A proposta desta dissertação aborda o consumo de videogame entre os sexos e como essa relação, tipicamente econômica, perpassa padrões de gosto individuais e afeta a formação de uma relação simbólica: a identidade gamer. A grande área que permeia este estudo está no mundo virtual dos games, principalmente ao elaborar a caracterização e a tipologia dos avatares. Esta dissertação surgiu durante a leitura de material da sociologia britânica, no qual o sociólogo Garry Crawford destacou que existe uma diferenciação no consumo dos games entre homens e mulheres, e esta diferenciação ocorre pelo avatar. Destaca-se que este trabalho se compreende como um estudo interdisciplinar com foco sociológico e nele está presente literatura do game designer, filosofia, antropologia, educação, entre outras áreas que debatem e que teorizam o videogame. Utilizou-se de metodologia mista, quantitativa e qualitativa, para realizar a análise dos personagens e das entrevistas dos jogadores; por conseguinte, destaca-se um capítulo somente para a abordagem metodológica. Ressalta-se que, dos resultados encontrados, sobressaíram-se três caracterizações de avatares (uma inesperada), além da respectiva tipologia; bem como, das entrevistas, aponta-se para uma convergência no consumo dos videogames. Pode-se afirmar, categoricamente, que, na cidade de Porto Alegre, não há uma extensa diferenciação no consumo de games. / The proposal of this dissertation addresses the consumption of video game between the sexes, and this typically economic relation permeates individual patterns of taste and affects the formation of a symbolic relationship, the gamer identity. The great area that permeates this study is in the virtual world of games, especially when elaborating the characterization and typology of the avatars. This dissertation arose during the reading of material from British sociology, where the sociologist Garry Crawford, pointed out that there is a differentiation in the consumption of games between men and women; and this differentiation occurs by the avatar. It should be noted that this work is understood in an interdisciplinary study with a sociological focus, but there has literature of the designer game, philosophy, anthropology, education, among other areas that debate and theorize the video game. It was used the mixed methodology, quantitative and qualitative, of the analysis of the characters and interviews of the players; therefore, a chapter is only highlighted for the methodological approach. It should be emphasized that three avatars characterizations emerged from the results, an unexpected, besides the respective typology. As well as, from the interviews, one points to convergence in the consumption of video games. It can be affirmed, categorically, that in the city of Porto Alegre there is not an extensive differentiation in the consumption of games.

Intenta-se, no presente trabalho, promover uma análise do livro As Horas, objetivando investigar, sobretudo, como se articulam as representações do feminino na supracitada obra; para tanto, recorre-se a teorias e críticas feministas anglo-americanas e a pressupostos teóricos relativos à ficção pós-moderna. Procura-se salientar, ainda, a emergência do espólio crítico-literário woolfiano — enfatizando, principalmente, sua escrita ensaística e suas concepções feministas — na contemporaneidade. / The postmodern art is characterized, accordingly to the Canadian literary theorist Linda Hutcheon, by the revision and critical evaluation of texts and other discursive manifestations of the past, and by their transposition to new scenarios, in which they gain renewed signification. The narrative The Hours (1998), from the North-American writer Michael Cunningham (1952 --), can be seen as a representative of this aesthetic, since it recalls both structurally and thematically the novel Mrs. Dalloway (1925), one of the seminal works of modernism written in English, and prominent production amid the literary opus of Virginia Woolf (1882 - 1941), for its composition. In the present work, we intend to analyze the book The Hours, aiming to investigate, above all, how the representations of the feminine are articulated in the aforementioned work, and, to this end, we depart from Anglo-American feminist theories, as well as critiques and theoretical discussions about postmodern fiction. To this end, before, it was made needed a theoretical overview that elucidate the marks of colonialism European in African social context to then understand the remoteness both women, the indigenous cultures in Africa. Bringing the concept of Animist Realism proposed by Pepetela and invigorated by Harry Garuba, we enter the animistic conception of African world, as well as to propose reflections on patriarchy could also observe the marginal condition to which women are subjected in Mozambican society. Thus, when we consider that in Africa the social and cultural issues are intrinsically linked to the psychic representation of reality, the thread this analysis is to find aspects of Animist Realism weaving the representations of women in the novel in question. / Nesta dissertação nos dedicamos à leitura do romance do escritor moçambicano Mia Couto, A confissão da leoa, com o intuito de enlaças dois aspectos que aparecem de forma acentuada na produção literária do autor: o Realismo Animista e a representação do feminino. Para isso, antes, se fez necessário um apanhado teórico que elucidasse as marcas do colonialismo europeu no contexto social africano para então compreender a situação periférica tanto da mulher, quanto das culturas autóctones em África. Trazendo o conceito de Realismo Animista, proposto por Pepetela e avigorado por Harry Garuba, adentramos na concepção anímica de mundo africana, assim como, ao propor reflexões acerca do patriarcalismo pudemos observar também a condição marginal à que a mulher é submetida na sociedade moçambicana. Desse modo, ao considerarmos que em África as questões sociais e culturais estão intrinsecamente ligadas à representação anímica da realidade, o fio da meada desta análise é encontrar os aspectos do Realismo Animista que tecem as representações da mulher no romance em questão.

Entre estes eventos, nos detemos mais detalhadamente nesta dissertação sobre a menstruação, cuja experiência permeada por múltiplas influências de ordem social, cultural e econômica, as quais se expressam em aspectos como crenças e valores, fazendo daquela, um momento marcante para pensar sobre a dimensão simbólica que envolve o corpo feminino e suas singularidades. Nesta pesquisa temos como objetivo principal analisar as práticas e discursos referentes à menstruação a partir de um conjunto de mulheres pertencentes a diferentes grupos etários, enxergando o contexto social em que estas mulheres estão inseridas, percebendo como suas falas estão organizadas dentro de uma lógica cultural em que as transformações do corpo feminino são marcadas por sentimentos e emoções resultantes da intersecção entre natureza e cultura. / The interior of the female body has been over time subjected to images and representations that seek to give meaning to events, even if starting inside the woman's body, generate behaviors and behaviors that respond more to a socio-cultural dynamics, than, properly, biological. Among these events, we pause in more detail in this dissertation about menstruation, as an axis to reflect on how the menstrual experience is permeated by multiple influences of social, cultural, economic, to express themselves in what looks like beliefs and values, making this, a remarkable moment to think about the symbolic dimension that involves the female body and its singularities. In this research, our main goal, to analyze the practices and discourses of menstruation in a group of women belonging to different age groups, seeing the social context in which these women are embedded realizing how these lines are organized within a cultural logic in that the transformation of the female body are marked by feelings and emotions that make this experience one variable relevant to discuss the body as a space of intersection between nature and culture.
