The topic of diploma thesis is the comparison of export promotion policy of Czech Republic and Slovakia. Both countries, as small export-focused economies to a great extent economically dependent on exports, must pay huge attention to export promotion provided by state. The thesis is focused on description and analysis of export promotion policy of Czech Republic and Slovakia and on their comparison. The content of the thesis is divided into five chapters. The fist chapter describes theoretical concept of export promotion policy and its instruments, defines foreign-trade policy and trade policy, liberalism and protectionism, and analyzes the structure and importance of export in Czech Republic and Slovakia. The second chapter is dedicated to short history of support of export in Czechoslovakia in 1945-1990 under the Soviet influence and after the fall of Soviet Union in 1990-1992. The third chapter is focused on detailed description and analysis of export promotion policy in Czech Republic, its development and institutions. The fourth chapter describes Slovakian export promotion policy in the same way. The fifth chapter is addressed to Common Trade Policy of the European Union and its impact on export promotion in Czech Republic and Slovakia, to evaluation of its present state and comparison of export promotion policies of Czech Republic and Slovakia.

This master thesis deals with the analysis of competitiveness of Slovakia in comparison with the Czech Republic. The theoretical framework of competitiveness is presented in the early section of this thesis. First chapter examines diferents approaches and theories concerning competitiveness. The next part focuses on measurement and evaluation of competitiveness at macroeconomic level. In this context, an overview of the methodologies used by the World Economic Forum, The World Bank and The International Institute for Management Development is presented. The key part is the analysis of competitiveness of Slovakia which is realized on the basis of selected price and costs variables and composite indicators. The main aims established while runnig the research were the following: to evaluate the development of competitiveness of Slovakia after its entry into the eurozone, to examine its relative position to the Czech Republic and identify strengths and weaknesses of the both economies resulting from the international competitiveness reports.

This graduation theses compares the system of investment incentives in the Czech Republic and Slovakia and their role in the framework of economic policy of both countries. It analyzes the effect of investment incentives on the basic macroeconomic indicators of both countries -- gross domestic product, unemployment and balance of payments. On the basis of ascertained facts are identified same characteristics and main differences of these systems.

The diploma thesis aims on financial analysis of the company UniCredit Bank, Inc. in period of year 2012 to 2015 focusing mainly on comparison of its finacial results with previously selected groups of banks. Firstly, the principle of financial analysis and its purpose is stated with particular financial indicators being described. Secondly, basic information about the UniCredit Bank Inc. are given combined with analysis of banking industry as a whole throughout the period. The third main part provides the individual financial analysis of UniCredit Bank Inc. that is compared with statistical data of banking industry and the group of big banks. The results are graphically processed with use of Spider chart for each year of the period. Lastly, the final overview of financial results of UniCredit Bank in context of chosen sectors´ data is summarized.

This thesis deals with the issue of health and safety at work and fire protection, focusing on the management system for the company UniCredit Bank Czech Republic and Slovakia a.s. The first part of the thesis is focused on defining of the related legislative regulations in are of OSH and FP in the Czech Republic, on related terms, analytics methods used in this area and on the specifics of Open Space offices. The second concentrates on the basic information about the company itself and to the analysis of processes and established procedures dealing with OSH and fire protection in the company. The aim is to map management practices in OSH and FP management, uncovering any shortcomings and proposal for acceptable corrective action. There were used internal company guidelines together with the data from the investigation carried out on a sample of 100 employees for the purposes of this thesis.

Aquests textos no els posem degut a la protecció d’escriptura de les fonts originals / En aquesta tesi doctoral es pretén estudiar les diferents polítiques de paisatge a Europa, centrant-se en l’estudi a fons del Conveni Europeu del Paisatge, únic instrument dedicat exclusivament al paisatge. Mitjançant l’anàlisi de tres casos d’estudi, Espanya, Alemanya i Eslovàquia, més l’estudi de respectives regions dels mateixos, s’explicaran les eines i instruments existents avui per protegir, gestionar i ordenar el paisatge, afegint, però, l’element social, indiscutiblement lligat a la manera de veure, pensar i viure el paisatge. Es respon així a la hipòtesis de si ens trobem davant un canvi de paradigma, davant una nova sensibilitat respecte del paisatge. Indirectament es responen a dues preguntes més: demostrar si després de 10 anys de funcionament del Conveni Europeu del Paisatge aquest es perfila com a instrument per excel•lència per protegir, gestionar i ordenar el paisatge a Europa i si és possible l’existència de polítiques de paisatge efectives al marge del Conveni Europeu del Paisatge. / This doctoral dissertation focuses on the study of the different European landscape policies, in particular on the study of the European Landscape Convention, being the only international instrument dedicated exclusively to landscape. Through analysis of three case studies, Spain, Germany and Slovakia plus further studies of some of their regions we will describe the tools and instruments, existing today, to protect, manage and plan landscapes adding however, the social element which is without doubt related to our way of seeing, thinking and living the landscape. This way we will answer the hypothesis: is there a change of paradigm and are we experiencing a new sensitivity towards the landscape? Indirectly we are also answering two other questions: firstly we will prove whether after ten years in function the ELC is the ultimate instrument to protect, manage and plan landscapes in Europe. Secondly, if there are other effective instruments in existence, besides the European Landscape Convention.

In the theoretical part, this diploma thesis deals with brick production, basic raw materials for brick production and the technological process of production itself. It also focuses directly on the fired brick, its legislative requirements and manufacturers who currently produce this brick in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The possibilities of current manufacturers are assessed in the practical part, especially in terms of salinity, mineralogical composition and behavior during firing of their production mixtures. As last the optimal firing temperature of the available mixtures is designed to achieve ideal parameters as frost resistence, strenght, appearance etc.
