Síntese de copolímeros em bloco por reações one-pot com processos RAFT e ROP simultâneos / Synthesis of block copolymers by one-pot reactions with simultaneous raft and rop process

Freitas, Augusto Gonzaga Oliveira de 04 February 2016 (has links)
Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / The present work describes a methodology of controlled synthesis of block copolymers by one-pot reactions involving simultaneous RAFT and ROP processes mediated by a bifunctional compound which acts as a chain transfer agent (CTA) for the RAFT process and co-initiator of the ROP process. Reactions involving the RAFT of Styrene (St) and the ROP of ε-Caprolactone (ε-CL) were performed to obtain PS-b-PCL diblock copolymers. The catalysts Sn(Oct)2 and diphenyl phosphate (DPP) were evaluated in the ROP process. Diphenyl phosphate is the most appropriate for this kind of reaction, since Sn(Oct)2 proved to be avid when interacted with CTA, interfering antagonistically in the radical equilibrium of the RAFT process. The reactions were always controlled when DPP was used as a ROP catalyst, wherein copolymers with narrow molar mass distribution were obtained in the end. This methodology was employed in the synthesis of other linear and graft amphiphilic block copolymers, proving to be an excellent alternative for this purpose. Thermoresponsive copolymers based on Poly(oligo(ethylene glycol)methyl ether methacrylate) (POEGMA) and pH responsive based on Poly(acrylic acid) (PAA) were obtained. The physicochemical properties of the copolymers were investigated in solid state as well as in solution, and the results are in total agreement with values reported in the literature.

Copolymères diblocs amphiphiles et thermostimulables : synthèse contrôlée et étude préliminaire de leur auto-organisation / Amphiphilic and thermosensitive block copolymers : controlled synthesis and preliminary study of their self organization

Qayouh, Hicham 17 December 2013 (has links)
Leurs comportements micellaires ont été étudiés par mesures HPPS / The development of new biodegradable diblock copolymers poly(ε-caprolactone)-b-poly[oligo(ethylene glycol)methyl ether methacrylate], which could be used in environmental friendly applications such as treatment of contaminated water has been the main goal of this work. For the preparation these copolymers, the ring-opening polymerization (ROP) and the Atom Transfer Radical Polymerization (ATRP) were combined by using a bifunctional initiator. The two-step route for the synthesis of these copolymers was using either ATRP or ROP as first step and the other polymerization secondly. Each polymerization was studied carefully in order to control the macromolecular parameters of the copolymers. On the one hand, the ATRP of methacrylates bearing oligo(ethylene glycol) was carried out by using poly(ε-caprolactone) with bromide end-group as macroinitiator. On the other hand, the ring opening polymerization of ε-caprolactone was initiated by the hydroxyl end-group of the poly[oligo(ethylene glycol)methyl ether methacrylate], using tin octoate, tin tetrakis(phenylethynyl) or bismuth triflate as catalysts. The Low Critical Solution Temperature (LCST) of these amphiphilic diblock copolymers in aqueous medium have been determined by UV-visible spectroscopy. Their micellar behaviors were also studied by measuring size by HPPS

Occipital White Matter Volumes Predict Visual Motor Outcome in Preterm Infants with Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP)

Chundru, Renu 03 November 2006 (has links)
Although very low birth weight preterm (VLBW) infants with grade 3,4 retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) are at high risk for unfavorable visual outcomes, the middle school vision motor integration (VMI) skills and cognitive outcome scores of these children remain largely unknown. Data for 323 very VLBW survivors of the Multicenter Randomized Indomethacin IVH Prevention Trial (BW 600 1250 g) were analyzed to test the hypothesis that grades 3, 4 ROP would be an important predictor of cognitive and VMI skills. 3 subgroups were evaluated: ROP negative (N = 163), ROP grades 1,2 (N = 137) and ROP grades 3,4 (N = 23) were evaluated prospectively at 12 years of age with a neurocognitive battery. High-resolution volumetric MRI scans were quantified for 40 of the study subjects, and occipital brain volumes were correlated with Beery VMI scores. Children with ROP 3-4 had [arrow up - increased] vision impairment and lower test scores. Whole brain volumes were significantly less for children with any grade of ROP (p = 0.02), occipital white matter volumes tended to be less for the same study subjects (p = 0.08) and both total occipital brain volumes and occipital white matter volumes were significantly correlated with Beery VMI scores (r=0.610, p = 0.009 and r = 0.652, p =0.005, respectively). Prematurely-born children with a history of grade 3-4 ROP continue to have [arrow up - increased] vision impairment, special needs and lower performance on cognitive, language and visual motor integration scores at age 12 years. Both whole occipital brain volumes and occipital white matter volumes were predictive of VMI scores for children with ROP. (supp by NS 27116)

Ex-post evaluace neinvestičních projektů z oblasti propagace v cestovním ruchu financovaných z ROP Jihovýchod

Burdíková, Hana January 2015 (has links)
BURDÍKOVÁ, H. Ex-post evaluation of non-investment projects in the field of tourism promotion financed from ROP South-East. Thesis. Brno, 2015. This thesis is concerned with evaluation in conditions of EU Cohesion Policy. The subjects of evaluation are non-investment projects financed from the Regional Operational Programme South-East, whose implementation falls within the programming period 2007-2013. It was selected a sample of five projects, which are focused on the development and promotion of tourism in the South Moravian Region and the Region Vysočina. The theoretical part is devoted to literature review, which focuses firstly on the general definition of regional policy, its specific application in the European Union and the Czech Republic. After putting in this necessary context, it is proceeded to explain the concept of evaluation, especially the difference between program and project evaluation and detailed description of subsequent (ex-post) evaluation. The conclusion of this part is determination of procedure of ex-post evaluation, which the author observes in practical part of the thesis. This part is devoted to a brief description of selected projects and the establishment of evaluation questions, together with its own indicator system. Quantitative analysis of the data is done in consideration of the goals of the thesis, which is assessment of cost-effectiveness of projects through cost-utility method CEA. Its conclusions are complemented and explained using information from qualitative analysis - individual interviews with representatives of the grant recipients. The results of this analysis are used to answer a set of evaluation questions and also to perform comparisons using the benchmarking method. In the last part of the thesis are formulated suggestions and recommendations for improving cost-effectiveness and quality of the examined projects for the grant recipients and the managing authority of the operational program.

Boj proti korupci při zneužívání fondů Evropské unie: případová studie ROP Severozápad / Fighting Corruption in Misuse of Financial Funds from European Union: Case Study Regional Operation Programme North-West (ROP Severozápad)

Frodlová, Ellen January 2017 (has links)
This thesis is focusing on corruption and misuse of financial funds from European Union. It primarily analyses Regional Operation Programme North-West (ROP Severozápad), which ended with massive corruption affair. The affair lead to the suspension of payments from the European Union, change of assignment of projects in the next programme period, but also opened the question of current trends in corruption in the Czech Republic. The main aim of the thesis was to identify the most dangerous spots that lead to misuse of European funds, connect the corruption affair with current corruption trends in the Czech Republic and suggest basic activities that could prevent the misuse of European subsidies in the future. The aim was achieved via analysis of the operation programme, that ran through the years 2007-2013. It was discovered, that the system was purpose-built so that the local politicians could manipulate with the order of winning projects and thus unfairly distribute the financial funds from the European Union.

ROP-chain generation using Genetic Programming : GENROP

Branting, Jonatan January 2022 (has links)
Return Oriented Programming (ROP) is the de-facto technique used to exploit most of today’s native-code vulnerabilities hiding in old and newly developed software alike. By reusing bits and pieces of already existing code (gadgets), ROP can be used to bypass the ever-present Write ⊕ eXecute (W⊕X) security feature, which enforces memory to only be marked as either executable or writable; never both at the same time. Even with its widespread use, crafting more advanced ROP-chains is mostly left as a manual task. This paper attempts to explore the viability of automating ROP-chain generation by leveraging genetic programming (GP), and describes the implementation and design of the ROP-compiler GENROP in this endeavour. We introduce a novel approach to adapt GP to work within the environment of ROP, which attempts to guide the algorithm and preemptively remove pathways which are known ahead of time to be unable to generate a solution. GENROP is tested by attempting to generate a working payload against a number of binaries, and is then evaluated based on success rate and payload size when compared to angrop (another ROP-compiler). The results show that the algorithm is able to generate functioning payloads in most of the tested cases, although it does perform worse than angrop. This can partly be explained by the fact that GENROP uses gadget definitions generated by angrop, which reduces the potential viability of the ROP-compiler, as more unwieldy but potentially usable gadgets are not available. Additionally, it was found that extensively guiding the algorithm has negative consequences in terms of solution diversity. Relying on faster execution times and more iterations might produce better results. Further work is required to assess whether or not generating ROP-chains using genetic programming is a viable approach.
