The subject of the diploma thesis is a construction technology study of the proces of realization. The aim of the thesis is to design a suitable technological procedure for the construction of the main building with a focus on feasibility. The content of the diploma thesis is the design of a suitable solution of partial processes, mechanization and organization of work leading to the successful realization of the object. The diploma thesis is focused on the feasibility of works concerning the variable way of ensuring the stability of the walls of the building pit in the existing urban area, the design of the machine assembly, the budget item, the costs of the construction site equipment and, last but not least, the safety plan.

This diploma thesis deals with the proposal of a construction technological project of the tipping Plant in Vítkovice. The work consists of a technological report, transport routes proposal, study of the realization of the main technological stages, time and financial plan of all main objects, construction site project, design of main construction machines and mechanisms. The project also includes itemized budget of the main building structure together with a detailed timetable, financial plan and schedule deployment of construction machinery and workers. The content of this thesis also includes a technological project for the implementation of semi-assembled ceiling structures with a plan for securing material resources and a technological project for the execution of remediation works of concrete structural elements, for which an inspection and test plan with the description of inspection was prepared. The health and safety plan was also created from the perspective of the health and safety coordinator.

DETERMINING SCHOOL SAFETY CONCERNS: THE LIVED EXPERIENCES OF A MIDDLE SCHOOL SAFETY TEAM

<p>  </p> <p>A school safety team collaborates with stakeholders to promote and maintain a physically and psychologically safe school environment. Together they must identify safety deficits and prioritize initiatives and practices. This phenomenological qualitative case study examined how a school safety team makes decisions and determines safety outcomes. Individual interviews and a focus group discussion explored how they calibrate what a safety concern is to help prevent violence. Four emergent themes were identified: (1) severity and impact, (2) safety-minded culture, (3) communication and collaboration, and (4) leadership. In addition, the study explored whether one of Bronfenbrenner’s ecological systems has more influence over the others when validating a concern. This study suggests that the Microsystem is most influential. From these findings, three assertions were proposed to help the school safety team, and building leaders promote safe school practices: (1) The safety team must establish collaborative relationships with stakeholders and develop convenient reporting systems to collect concerns; (2) A school safety team judges a safety concern by the severity and potential impact on the school environment; and (3) Leadership is vital for the school safety team to prepare for, respond to, and address safety concerns. These findings aim to help stakeholders promote and maintain a safe learning environment as they evaluate perceived safety concerns by highlighting areas to focus on to improve the calibration process. Though a school safety team may never know how many times they were right in calibrating a concern, a single error will be well known.</p>
