L'espace non figuratif dans la scène théâtrale tunisienne contemporaine : approche plastique / The non-representational space in contemporary Tunisian theater scene : approach reading

Sfar, Jinène 30 March 2015 (has links)
With avant-garde artists, the Western theatrical scene broke with figurative scenic image and the illusion of a current space that representing a certain period of time. In Tunisia, theater, an art that appeared in the early twentieth century (which coincided with the birth of contemporary art), initially resorted to figurative stage devices that represent the Tunisian daily life. But, since the sixties, the Tunisian director who had similar experience to the plastic artist, starts searching his own aesthetic way while borrowing an oriental, precolonial, and foreign heritage. The scenic images have given up its figurative representation since Ben Ayed (at the end of his artistic career) and have become a place of research and experimentation: from a narrative and figurative space to an abstract space. Indeed, the conditions of exchange and interaction between theatrical arts are reflected in contemporary Tunisian scenic image and are continuous development, in substance as well as in form.Starting from a body of contemporary performances, through the National Theatre and the Theatre of the earth, then Elteatro, and Familia Production, until the experience of the National Puppetry Arts Center and amateur theater, we can notice the presence of an interaction between the arts. We also examine a certain transcreation between the various forms of artistic expression. Another point is that Technological processes, innovative mediums, and the influence of Eastern theatrical forms, allow directors to "write" on stage and the public to read and re-imagine the world with its multiple visions

The singer - actor term refers to classical singers that consider any degree of scenic responsibility existed in any kind of his/her repertory’s performance, keeping in mind that the act of singing in public is a scenic act by itself . In this way, there is a demand for the singer to aggregate other abilities beyond the technical - musical production, because his/her scenic attitude is not just a complement, but a fundamental part of his/her artistic practice. In addition, there is a gap in singers professional qualification regarding his/her acting development. The objective of this research is to propose activities aimed at the development of abilities related to the scenic needs of the singer - actor. The research is based on the review of the specific literature on the classi cal singer's scenic performance as a theoretical reference, with the principles of Wesley Balk's methodology (1981, 1989 and 1991) as the main foundation. The proposal of activities is composed of exercises and games whose focus of scenic development contemplates at least one of the following objectives: 1) The construction of an intelligence related to the cooperative and assertive use of the expressive resources of the classical singer - body, voice and face, provid ing to him/her the integration of the singing and acting processes; 2) the stimulation of his/her sensibility and creativity as a way to develop creative autonomy that allows him/her the sense of scenic truth and adaptability in performance. It starts with the exercises in the methodology of Wesley Balk, and it creates details about its application, as well as new exercises that are based on the same principles. Finally, it is suggested the organization of a laboratory oriented to the scenic development of the singer - actor in which these activities presented could serve as viable procedures.

The Wild and Scenic Rivers Act: Perspectives on Private Land Issues

Weiner, Gary R. 01 May 1990 (has links)
The Wild and Scenic Rivers Act is the nation's principal tool for accomplishing river conservation. Congress intended for the Act to apply to rivers regardless of ownership of adjacent lands, but efforts to implement the Act on rivers bordered by private property have met with limited success. This paper presents the underlying issues related to private land applications, explores the range of ideas and opinions existing among river conservation experts, agency river planners and others regarding how to work with these issues, identifies areas of general concurrence and least agreement, and makes recommendations for future private land applications of the Act.

Airships and angels : concept and collaboration

Pettway, Jocelyn Denise 03 February 2014 (has links)
Airships and Angels is a faux Victorian travel journal created through collaboration with Kristina Krumholt and Rudy Ramirez. Ultimately, the goal of the thesis project is to disrupt traditional hierarchical creative processes by challenging the order in which artifacts are crafted during the creation of a narrative structure and, ultimately, a performance. The end product is a leather book that is shared in the manner of rare books (by appointment and in a controlled environment) for a week, and two special two-night readings with projected imagery at the end of the week. In this process I first created concept art and the text was created afterwards by Krumholt. Once the text was complete the two artifacts were brought together and developed further. Eventually all the images were drawn and the book was printed, bound, and performed. / text

Coastal Scenic Evaluation By Application Of Fuzzy Logic Mathematics

Ucar, Baris 01 August 2004 (has links) (PDF)
Coastal scenery evaluated by utilization of selected landscape components was subject to fuzzy logic system approach. Based on this methodology, coastal areas were grouped into five classes using the evaluation index D giving the overall result of scenic assessment over the attributes. Within the methodology, public perception surveys from Turkey, UK, Malta, and Croatia were used as a tool for environmental perception in the methodology. The results of the public perception surveys were utilized to obtain the weights of scenic parameters. Public surveys in &Ccedil / irali were related to demographical information of respondents by factorial analysis. A coastal scenic classification curve was obtained for all 86 coastal sites around the world which enabled grouping of the sites in five different classes.
