Faů, Roman January 2018 (has links)
This master thesis maps out events and processes which are connected with the resurgence of the Woodcraft league of Czechoslovakia after the fall of communism in Czechoslovakia in 1989. It deals with woodcraft community and affiliated groups that intensified their activities during the last years of the period of normalization in Czechoslovakia. After the Velvet revolution, these groups and individuals represented basis for the resurgence of the Woodcraft league. Furthermore, this paper describes concrete steps connected with this resurgence, introduces prominent actors of this process and tries to explain their major steps. It does not omit controversial events, neither ideological cleavages linked to the resurgence of the organisation, which was gagged more than 40 years. Finally, this final thesis puts the focus on the evolution of the organisation during its first modern period when it has succeeded in establishing itself within the Czechoslovakian society marked by a newly gathered freedom, an uncritical euphoria and by the subsequent return to reality. The information for this study was collected using the method of oral history, more specifically through interviews with prominent actors of these events. Collected findings were subsequently compared with information from other written sources...

Kubíčková, Michaela January 2011 (has links)
In my thesis I deal with problematic behaviour of children which scout leaders face in Liberec region and their ability to solve these problems. Theoretical part is followed by a combination of quantitative and qualitative research. In my theoretical part I described Junak organization - Association of Scouts and Guides of the Czech Republic, its training system. I also concentrated on what causes problematic children behaviour, competencies of a leader, danger for a child when there is a lack of competencies and methodology of work with children in Junak. My aim in empirical part was to understand what problems scout leaders face, if they are able to solve them, and what is their idea of an educational seminar which could help them when working with children in risk. I obtained data from 68 leaders in Liberec region by a questionnaire with open and closed questions. Then I used a method of semi-structured interview and obtained information from 10 centre leaders Retez Ceska Lipa. In interviews I focused on: problems which scout leaders have experienced, how they solved them, if this solution was successful and concrete ideas of a course. The result of this research is a proposal of content (schedule, length, form, methods, aims etc.) of a course for leaders working with children in risk. Key words...

Vliv nekoedukovaných turistických oddílu na vytváření identity jejich členů - případová studie / The Influence of Single - Sex Tourist Groups on Creating the Identity of Their Members - Case Study

Švorcová, Tereza January 2016 (has links)
This MA thesis deals with the influence of single-sex tourist groups on creating the identity of their members. The aim is to discover the effect of membership in such a non-coeducational tourist clubs on children, and also how this leisure activity affects children's identity and what impact it has on their development. The theoretical part discusses socializing, social environment, gender, gender socialization and gender stereotypes. Furthermore, it also deals with the influence of peers and peer groups for socialization of children and the issue of the high quality use of leisure time. For the purpose of this thesis, interviews were carried out with all parties involved in the functioning of these clubs, namely leaders, instructors, parents and of course also the current and former members of these clubs. For comparison of some statements, an interview with a leader of a very similar, but non-coeducational club was carried out. The results showed that non-coeducational clubs are beneficial for children because the children have the opportunity to access activities normally carried out by the members of the opposite sex, and to do so without gender-motivated social prejudices. Additionally, the approach and attitudes of the leaders have great influence on the running of the club, the nature...

Diseño de información y motivación hacia el material formativo de la Asociación Scouts del Perú / Design of information and motivation towards the formative material of the Scouts Association of Peru

Flores Cruz, Kamila Alexandra 02 July 2019 (has links)
Scouting is one of the largest and most recognized youth associations in the world. Its formative proposal, known as the Scout Method, works with children and young people on a personal and group level with the aim of forming better citizens. However, they have a deficit to present their formative material, causing lack of motivation among scouts to start their progression. Therefore, the main objective of this work is to redesign the training material of the Scouts of Peru Association using the tools provided by the design of information. It is expected that applying the information design as a tool can transform the training material of the Scouts of Peru Association providing an alternative that generates more motivation in scouts. The methodology used is experimental research, since it includes an experimental variable, in a fixed environment. The level of research is experimental one and the approach that has been chosen is mixed one since both the quantitative and the qualitative method will be used. The presented solution is a game for mobiles in which the scouts answer questions to go through a circuit, has the option of team play where they compete in teams. The proposal responds to the difficulties found in the current material without breaking away from the foundations of Scouting. In conclusion, after testing, 100% of scouts responded positively to the proposal, demonstrating interest in the material and motivation to start their progression, thus validating the hypothesis presented. / Trabajo de investigación

The current technological advances allow the use of extremely minor processing architectures in relation to personal computers, giving us the ability to build new agricultural equipment using sensors (GPS, ultrasound, multispectral visible, infrared, images); changing paradigms and promoting the work at smaller scales can reach the leaf level through intelligent autonomous robots acting in the desired place, at the appropriate time, and navigating the appropriate path. Thus, the present study aimed to develop an autonomous agricultural robot (Field Robot) called NAVIGO, whose function is to traverse farmland collecting soil samples. To that end, we developed a mobile platform with a robotic arm using embedded computing system based on the Android mobile phone (Smartphone) and IOIO for Android controller. The system as a whole is intended to navigation in the role of information gatherer (soil amples). Results showed stable performance of the prototype allowing its use as a handy tool in performing the sampling of soils for agricultural areas for small and medium businesses.
