No. of bitstreams: 1 Viviane Panelli Sarraf.pdf: 2554843 bytes, checksum: bfd543b2c0a09460280f618bc38d570a (MD5) Previous issue date: 2013-06-13 / Fundação de Amparo a Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo / The research Communication of the five senses in Brazilian cultural spaces: strategies of mediations and accessibility for people with their differences , discusses communication strategies that utilize the senses as touch, hearing, smell, vision, synesthesia, kinesthesia, proprioception and taste in cultural Brazilians spaces, considering its importance to the cultural inclusion of individuals, especially people with disabilities who are least benefited by their different ways of perception, mobility and communication. Based on the justification that visual communication is losing the ability to seduct the individual, were presented and analyzed theories and cases of sensory cultural communication, which can serve as an example for the development of a communication theory of the five senses in cultural spaces. The theoretical research were focused on semiotic theories of culture, and the Theory of the Media, with the concepts of primary media and crisis of visibility with authors Harry Pross, Norval Baitello, Ivan Bystrina, Dietmar Kamper, Stuart Clark and Christopher Wulf, ecology of communication influenced by ethology and psychology with authors such as Vicente Romano, Edgar Morin, Ashley Montagu, Diane Ackerman and Boris Cyrulnik. As complementary bibliographies were searched theories in the areas of cultural and political action to the authors Pierre Bourdieu and Teixeira Coelho, museology with Waldissa Russio Camargo Guarnieri and Maria Cristina Oliveira Bruno, the area of social inclusion, specifically the concepts of Universal Design and accessibility with Romeo Sassaki, Joseph Shapiro, Dorina Nowill, Luis Pierre Grosbois, Ron Mace, Regina Cohen and Silvana Cambiaghi. The methodology combines the bibliographical and historical analysis with field research in primary sources. The field stage focused on primary data collection, records of visits to exhibitions, projects and interviews with employees in museums and cultural spaces Brazilians and foreigners who invest in programs to accessibility for people with disabilities and sensory communication strategies. The cases selected for analysis were those in which the theories of sensory communication and cultural accessibility materialized in more effective actions, taking into account the diversity of examples in different locations and extent of mediation strategies and accessibility for the inclusion of non-usual audiences to these environments.

Freitas, Renata Oliveira Teixeira de 29 August 2014 (has links)
Made available in DSpace on 2016-04-26T18:14:32Z (GMT). No. of bitstreams: 1 Renata Oliveira Teixeira de Freitas.pdf: 54419396 bytes, checksum: de662ace69466bd6409abbe196b6a2bb (MD5) Previous issue date: 2014-08-29 / Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico / This thesis can be included in the field of communication research and aims to reflect on contemporary design based on the possible contributions of the body s multisensory capacities. As the mediator between the informational codes of culture and man s perceptive and cognitive mechanisms, the design activity exerts an undeniable influence and impact on the construction of society. As part of a hyperconnected context, nourished by culture and by the tools of the new media and technologies, design deals with new creation, production, integration and value generation dynamics, as well as the new demands and urgencies of social and environmental co-existence, which require new project approaches. In these terms, multisensory analysis can contribute valuable tools for research development and design practice. The working methodology consisted of mapping out projects from different knowledge domains, such as art, medicine, engineering, technology, business and design itself, in an attempt to understand the distinct forms of action and exploration of the body s sensory communication. This research was undertaken based on theories that dialog with the critique of creation processes of Salles (2006), the questions of signs and the meaning of the semiotic base of Sebeok (1991) and Colapietro (2003), and with the complexity studies of Morin (2005). The discussions relating to communication systems and the contemporary market are supported by Shirky (2010), Lazzarato and Negri (2001), and Rifkin (2014). As far as the cognitive studies and theories of the body are concerned, the works of Nicolelis (2011) and Greiner (2005, 2010) were consulted. When referring to the design and innovation area, we turned to Manzini (2008), Margolin and Buchanan (1995), Brown (2010), Bonsiepe (2011ab), and Thackara (2008). The results of this research showed that knowledge of and investigation into these potentialities can supply project activation strategies, creative resources and means of interaction between people and products, spaces and services, contributing towards a projective action, that is more innovative, sustainable and coherent with the urgencies of the historical and cultural context, as well as promoting positive impacts on the systemic progression scale / A presente tese insere-se no universo das pesquisas da comunicação e tem como propósito refletir sobre o design contemporâneo a partir das possíveis contribuições das capacidades plurissensoriais do corpo.

Claassens, Susandra Jacoba 31 March 2007 (has links)
The Mesopotamian inscriptions and collections in ancient Mesopotamia consist of different meanings extended over long time-periods and with social, political, economic and ethnic differences. Scholars in determining whether the texts are an authentic source for Mesopotamian law traditions developed different theories and each of these theories has different variations. In a literature study to obtain if the inscriptions and collections are an authentic source, the different theories and methodologies of the inscriptions and collections were mentioned and the inscriptions and collections were tested in accordance with the characteristics of the Mesopotamian law traditions. Until new interpretation of documents of daily activities and legal activities, which can prove, that these texts are an authentic source, the interpretation of the collections and inscriptions on the legal issues of ancient Mesopotamians must be applied with caution and studied together with the greater corpus of cuneiform texts. / Old Testament and Ancient Near East Studies / M.A. (Ancient Near East Studies)
