Besides, it was tried, in this study, to explore the influence exerted by factors of impact such as hybridism, cultural industry and globalization in this process of mutation and, sometimes, even of descharacterization of sertanejo music. A critical analysis of the subject made evident that the State of Goiás is not only great consumer of this musical genre, but also has an important role in generation, production and promotion of sertanejo groups. The music of the sertanejo genre here is analysed under a look that considers the post-modern situation and the transmission of a musical cultural identity since the beginning of the State. / A presente pesquisa tem como objetivo promover um estudo de visão histórico-musical sobre o gênero sertanejo como uma das vertentes da identidade goiana. Foram consideradas as várias transformações ou fases desse gênero aqui denominadas momentos-, além de explorada a influência de fatores como o hibridismo, a indústria cultural e a globalização neste processo de mutação e, às vezes, até de descaracterização da música sertaneja. No decorrer dessa análise ficou evidente que o Estado de Goiás, não só é grande consumidor do gênero musical, como também destaque na geração, produção e fomento de duplas sertanejas de destaque, seja nas fases pioneiras ou já na indústria cultural. A música do gênero sertanejo é aqui analisada sob um olhar que considera a situação pós-moderna e a transmissão de uma identidade cultural musical ligada às raízes formadoras do Estado.

This shows the great receptivity of the audience and also leads one to believe that there is a relation of identification between the content of the songs and the reality lived by its listeners. It is noticeable that since its emergence in 1929, sertanejo music has approached themes about Brazilian rural reality, this is easily noticeable in songs such as "Meu reino encantado", "Caboclo na cidade", "Saudade da minha terra", among others. This led to the following question: "To what extent do the reports about the rural worker's reality present in the country music correspond to the reality described by geography?" The present research sought to relate the content of songs with the reality that geography describes on these same themes. For the accomplishment of this study, the methodological procedures consisted in a historical-geographic survey on how emerges and what is the sertanejo music. Later, an analysis of the discourse of about sixty-four sertanejo songs covering different times and themes was made. Finally, a statistical survey was carried out to analyze the influence of geographic, economic and social changes on sertanejo music. A study based on two hundred and fifty songs was carried out. The results showed that the country songs, in the beginning, served as a mechanism to portray the rural reality and, at the same time, occupied the function of preparing and conditioning the rural worker for life in the city. In addition, it has been shown that, over time, and in light of the transformation of its audience, the country music has turned away from its original theme (rural environment) and established itself as an urban product. / A música sertaneja, desde seu surgimento, até os dias atuais, tem grande destaque no cenário musical brasileiro. Isso mostra a grande receptividade do público e também leva a crer que existe uma relação de identificação entre o conteúdo das canções e a realidade vivida por seus ouvintes. É visível que desde seu surgimento em 1929, a música sertaneja tem abordado temas sobre a realidade rural brasileira, isso é facilmente perceptível em cações como “Meu reino encantado”, “Caboclo na cidade”, “Saudade da minha terra” dentre outras. Tal fato conduziu ao seguinte questionamento: “Até que ponto os relatos sobre a realidade do trabalhador rural presentes na música sertaneja condizem com a realidade descrita pela geografia?”. A presente pesquisa buscou relacionar os conteúdos de canções com a realidade que a geografia descreve sobre estes mesmos temas. Para a realização deste estudo, os procedimentos metodológicos consistiram em um levantamento histórico-geográfico sobre como surge e o que é a música sertaneja. Posteriormente foi feita uma análise do discurso de sessenta e quatro canções sertanejas abrangendo diferentes épocas e temáticas. Por fim foi realizado um levantamento estatístico que analisou a influência das mudanças geográficas, econômicas e sociais na música sertaneja. Para isso foi realizado um estudo com base em duzentas e cinquenta músicas. Os resultados acabaram demonstram que as canções sertanejas, a princípio, serviram de mecanismo para retratar a realidade rural e ao mesmo tempo, ocupavam a função de preparar e condicionar o trabalhador rural para a vida na cidade. Além disso, foi demonstrado que a música sertaneja, com o passar do tempo e em função da transformação de seu público, acabou se afastando de sua temática original (meio rural) e se estabeleceu como um produto urbano.

Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico / Times study aims to understand the intricate network of relationships established between a sertanejo musical production and its times. In this sense, our interest is to analyze how this production seen as root dialogues with the new social and cultural patterns of the time, based on a national-developmentalist ideals of modern urban to Brazil between 1950 and 1980. We choose as the object of analysis the musical production of José Fortuna, composer that transited during this period between the root and the new song fads , so even unveiling a turbulent time for the genre, which followed a need for firming appreciation of the caboclas arts (as a redeemed identity) denigrating the part of modern sertanejo music. Thus, tradition and modernity opposed in country music. But while the country was changing, was modernizing, gender blended new sound elements and thematic in which the traditional and the modern was hybridizing. Visualize from this change of meaning and values of country music, a major transformation process that melded, and not without conflict, tradition and modernity. / Este trabalho tem como objetivo compreender a intrincada rede de relações que se estabelece entre uma produção musical sertaneja e seu tempo. Nesse sentido, é de nosso interesse analisar como essa produção tida como raiz - dialoga com os novos padrões socioculturais da época, fundamentados em um projeto nacional-desenvolvimentista de ideais modernos e urbanos para o Brasil, entre os anos de 1950 e 1980. Elegemos como objeto de análise a produção musical do compositor José Fortuna, que nesse período transitava entre a música raiz e os novos modismos sertanejos, desvelando por isso mesmo um momento turbulento para o gênero, que seguia firmando uma necessidade de valorização das artes caboclas (como uma identidade resgatada) denegrindo a vertente moderna da música sertaneja. Assim, tradição e modernidade se opunham nessa música. Mas, ao passo que o país mudava, se modernizava, o gênero mesclava novos elementos sonoros e temáticos nos quais o tradicional e o moderno se hibridizavam. Visualizamos a partir dessa mudança de sentidos e de valores da música sertaneja, um processo de transformação maior que mesclava, e não sem conflitos, tradição e modernidade. / Mestre em História
