For this purpose, a qualitative research was carried out, through semi-structured interviews, subsequently submitted to a thematic analysis. Three men were selected for this research, with an average age of 42 years, college level, married or in stable union who participated in virtual communities exclusively destined to the swinger public. The results indicate that swing offers a masculinized experience of sexuality by imposing the separation between sex and feelings. The rules of the environment and practitioners have the role of sustaining the belief that it is possible to manipulate what constitutes human affection, preventing the formation of bonds. Failures to achieve the formation of bonds are attributed to individual problems, making swing not only reproduce heteronormative patterns but also perpetuate them. The interviewees presented a positive view of the swing and pointed out positive points that overcame the eventual problems of adaptation and conviviality with other swingers / O presente trabalho buscou compreender a experiência de homens praticantes de swing identificando a lógica do swing, os motivos que levam ao swing, as crenças de gênero e as percepções acerca do ciúme. Para tanto foi realizada uma pesquisa de natureza qualitativa, por meio de entrevistas semiestruturadas, posteriormente submetidas a uma análise temática. Foram selecionados três homens, com idade média de 42 anos, nível universitário, casados ou em união estável que participavam em comunidades virtuais destinadas exclusivamente ao público swinger. Os resultados indicam que o swing oferece uma vivência masculinizada da sexualidade impondo a separação entre o sexo e os sentimentos. As regras do ambiente e dos praticantes tem o papel de sustentar a crença de que é possível manipular o que constitui o afeto humano, impedindo a formação de vínculos. As falhas em atingir este ideal são atribuídas aos problemas individuais, fazendo com que o swing não apenas reproduza padrões heteronormativos, mas também os perpetue. No geral, os entrevistados apresentaram uma visão positiva do swing e apontaram pontos positivos que superaram os eventuais problemas de adaptação e convívio com outros swingers

Defesa: Curitiba, 04/03/2015 / Inclui referências / Resumo: Nos primeiros anos de 1970 surgiram, nos jornais do Rio de Janeiro, anúncios de casais buscando parceiros para uma nova prática sexual até aquele momento inédita no Brasil: o swing ou troca de casais. A originalidade de seu comportamento chamou a atenção da mídia em geral, e das revistas masculinas em particular: quem eram os seus praticantes e de que maneira aliavam a troca de parceiros com a instituição do casamento? O debate centrou-se no questionamento dos papeis sociais de homens e mulheres no sexo conjugal e nos limites que existiriam na exploração de novas fantasias sexuais para a manutenção do casamento. Dois discursos principais parecem emergir deste debate: um justificador, atribuído aos casais praticantes, de que sua prática servia como um reforço à instituição do casamento e prevenia o adultério; e um discurso condenatório, em que os casais são acusados de ofender a instituição do matrimônio e o marido de prostituir a esposa. Tendo como recorte temporal o período em que o debate foi mais significativo (1969 a 1983) e que, por sua vez, coincide com o que se poderia denominar de revolução sexual brasileira, esta pesquisa analisa as representações sociais de gênero presentes nas revistas masculinas – particularmente, Ele Ela, Peteca e Playboy – nos debates sobre o swing, e como determinadas representações foram utilizadas para se opor ou defender a prática. Palavras chave: sexualidade, troca de casais, mídia, estudos de gênero, representações. / Abstract: In the early 1970s appeared, in the newspapers of Rio de Janeiro, ads from couples who were seeking partners for a new sexual practice previously unknown in Brazil: swing or couples‘ swapping. The novelty of that behavior drew media attention, specifically men's magazines: who were the practitioners and how did they put together swapping partners and the institution of marriage? The debate focused on the subject of the social roles of men and women in marital sex and the limits that should exist in exploring new sexual fantasies for maintaining the marriage. Two discourses seem to emerge from this debate: from the practitioners, a justifying one, in which their sexual practice would serve as reinforcement of the marriage and could prevent adultery; and a condemnation one, in which couples were accused of offending the institution of marriage, and the husband accused of prostitute his own wife. Focusing within the time frame when the debate was most significant (1969-1983), period that coincides with what might be called the Brazilian sexual revolution, this research analyzes the social representations of gender present in men‘s magazines – particularly, Ele Ela, Peteca and Playboy – in the discussions about swing, and how certain representations were used to oppose or defend the practice. Convencionalmente considerada uma prática sexual dissidente, esse estudo sobre mulheres buscou refletir acerca dos papéis sexuais assumidos pelas praticantes de swing e, em que medida, as questões de gênero estão implicadas nas suas experiências eróticas. Adotando uma perspectiva etnográfica, balizei o percurso metodológico na observação participante em espaços de sociabilidades swingers (encontros e festas destinadas à prática) e em entrevistas em profundidade com base nas carreiras sexuais de quatro (04) mulheres. A partir de análise fundamentada na Dupla Hermenêutica, foi possível indicar nuances das feminilidades na troca de casais. Por um lado, as convenções sociais que ainda constituem o exercício da sexualidade: ideal de um corpo perfeito, manutenção do casamento, práticas proibidas e permitidas para uma “mulher direita”. Por outro, entretanto, o swing como possiblidade de liberdades sexuais, através do conhecimento do corpo e da vivência dos desejos e prazeres em uma prática transgressora. Entre noções de “santa x puta”, foi possível refletir acerca dos jogos de posicionamento inerentes à transgressão, erotismo e desejo que orientam tais vivências. / Within the field of sexuality studies of constructionism, this thesis sought to understand how to operate the markers of gender and sexuality in erotic practices of women doing swing trading partners among couples. Conventionally considered a dissident sexual practice, this study sought to reflect on women's sexual roles assumed by practitioners of swing, and the extent to which gender issues are involved in their erotic experiences. Adopting an ethnographic perspective, realized the methodological course on participant observation in spaces of sociability swingers (togethers and parties intended for practice) and in-depth interviews based on sexual careers of four (04) women. From the analysis based on Double Hermeneutics was possible to indicate nuances of femininity in swapping. On the one hand, social conventions which still constitute the exercise of sexuality: the ideal of a perfect body, maintaining the marriage, prohibited practices and allowed for a "right woman." On the other, however, the possibility of swing as sexual freedoms, through the knowledge of the body and the experience of the desires and pleasures from a transgressive practice. Between notions of "holy x bitch", it was possible to reflect on the games positioning inherent transgression, eroticism and desire that drive such experiences.
