This diploma thesis deals with determination of carbohydrates in wine. Theoretical part attends to production of wine from grape to treatment and training of wine. It refers saccharides in wine, especially glucose and fructose. The study provides an overview of the available sources concerning the possibilities of determination of carbohydrates in wine by chromatographic methods and Skalar automated chemistry analyser. The study shortly refers simple analytical methods for determination of wine saccharides. The experimental part based on this search deals with analysis of saccharides by high performance liquid chromatography with refractive index detector and UV detector on aminoalkyl column and determination of reducting sugars by Skalar automated chemistry analyser. Finally, the results of these methods were compared.

This thesis is focused on simulation of laboratory stand located on University of technology in Brno which is containing DC and asynchronous motor. This thesis includes mathematical model of DC motor, regulator of current, regulator of speed and DC convertor. It also contains model of asynchronous squirrel cage motor and models for scalar and vector control. Whole simulation is calculated in Simulink which is part of program Matlab.

Location based sports/fitness app : Android app for smartphonesQuaresmini, Jimmy January 2015 (has links)
The City of Stockholm’s budget for sports is 1.6% of the total city budget in 2014. About 60,000, licensed (age 15 and up, about 50%) and younger actively played soccer in Stockholm in 2005. That is roughly 24% of the total number of participants in sports activities in Stockholm’s district. There is a need for a location-based application (commonly abbreviated "app") to help people spontaneously meet for different sports activities. The app developed and analyzed in this thesis will address this need and assist potential participants in organizing sports activities, deciding to participate in these activities, make friends, etc. Not only large team sports will be considered, but sports done in pairs such as tennis and other sports as well that you do with others. Consider a person who has moved to a new city and wants to play football (soccer), but does not know people in this city. This app can help this person find others who would like to play in a quick and easy way by looking at a map and seeing where others would like to participate in this sport, for example at a particular soccer field, using location information concerning the potential participants and this specific field. Apps that use location information have become very common with the widespread use of smartphones. Such an app provides a location-based service. This thesis describes the design and implementation of an Android app with a location-based service and how to set up this app, what technology is needed to get the needed location information, and the programming language used. In addition, the thesis considers users’ needs and how the app caters to those needs. An analysis will be done of how well this app communicates with a database server as the number of users increases, scales. Performance and load on both the server and app will be considered. The performance will be analyzed to see how well it matches the users’ expectations. The app developed in this thesis will be for the Android platform and Apple's iOS (but the focus in the thesis is on the Android-version). This app will communicate with a database server running a Linux OS, an Apache HTTP server, a MySQL database, and using a PHP programming web infrastructure (such a setup of services is commonly called by the acronym LAMP). The app will connect to Facebook and Twitter to exchange information (however, that is outside the scope of this thesis). / Stockholms stads budget för sport är 1,6% av den totala budgeten 2014. Appar som använder platsinformation har blivit väldigt vanliga med det utbredda användandet av smarta mobiltelefoner. En sådan här app erbjuder en platsbaserad tjänst. Denna rapport beskriver designen och implementationen av en Android app med en platsbaserad tjänst och hur man sätter upp en sådan här app, vilka teknologier som behövs för att få den platsinformation som behövs och det programmeringsspråk som används. Därutöver kommer rapporten överväga användares behov och hur appen tillgodoser dessa behov. En analys kommer genomföras av hur denna app kommunicerar med en databas server när antalet användare ökar, när den skalar. Prestanda och belastning av både appen och servern kommer tas med i beräkningen. Prestandan kommer analyseras för att se hur väl det motsvarar användares förväntningar. Appen som utvecklas i detta examensarbete kommer vara för Android och Apples iOS (men fokuset i detta examensarbete kommer vara på Android versionen). Search for heavy Higgs bosons A/H decaying to a top-quark pair in pp collisions at \sqrt(s)=8 TeV with the ATLAS detectorStănescu-Bellu, Mădălina 30 April 2021 (has links)
In dieser Dissertation wird die Suche nach schweren neutralen pseudoskalaren A und skalaren H Higgs-Bosonen vorgestellt, die in gg-Fusionen erzeugt werden, und in ein Top-Antitop-Quark-Paar zerfallen. Gesucht wurde im vollständigen Datensatz von Proton–Proton-Kollisionen bei einer Schwerpunktsenergie von 8 TeV die vom ATLAS-Detektor am Large Hadron Collider aufgezeichnet wurde und einer integrierten Luminosität von 20.3 fb−1 entspricht. Der Signalprozess und der Haupthintergrund aus der Top-Quark-Paar-Produktion über starke gg-Fusionen-Prozesse, interferieren heftig, was zu einer Verzerrung des reinen Breit-Wigner-Resonanzpeak in eine Peak-Dip-Struktur führt. Diese Analyse ist die erste am LHC, die die Interferenz zwischen Signal und Hintergrundprozessen vollständig berücksichtigt. Die Suche stützt sich auf die statistische Analyse des invarianten Top-Quark-Paar-Massenspektrum, welches aus Ereignissen mit einem Elektron oder Myon mit hohem Transversalimpuls, einer hohen fehlenden Transversalenergie von dem nicht detektierten Neutrino und mindestens vier Jets rekonstruiert wird. In den Daten wird keine signifikante Abweichung vom erwarteten Standardmodell-Hintergrund beobachtet. Die Ausschließungsgrenzen wurden abgeleitet im Kontext des Typ II Two-Higgs-Doublet Model, für Higgs-Bosonen mit einer Masse von 500 und 750 GeV und mit niedrigerem tan(\beta)-Parameter, bei der tan(\beta) das Verhältnis der Vakuumerwartungswerte der beiden Higgs-Dublett-Felder ist. Diese Parameterregionen sind weitgehend unerforscht in Untersuchungen von beliebigen Endzuständen. / In this thesis a search is presented for heavy neutral pseudoscalar A and scalar H Higgs bosons, produced in gg fusion and decaying into a top-antitop quark pair. The search is conducted on the full proton-proton collisions dataset recorded by the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider at a centre-of-mass collision energy of 8 TeV and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 20.3 fb−1. The signal process and the main background from top quark pair production via the gg fusion strong process, interfere heavily, distorting the signal shape from the pure Breit-Wigner resonance peak to a peak-dip structure. This analysis is the first one at the LHC that fully takes into account the interference between a signal and the background processes. The search relies on the statistical analysis of the top quark pair invariant mass spectrum, which is reconstructed in signal candidate events with a high-transverse momentum electron or muon, large missing transverse energy from the undetected neutrino and at least four jets. No significant deviation from the expected SM background is observed in data. Exclusion limits are derived in the context of the type-II Two-Higgs-Doublet Model, for Higgs boson masses of 500 and 750 GeV and in the low tan(\beta) parameter region, where tan(\beta) is the ratio of the vacuum expectation values of the two Higgs doublet fields. These parameter regions have been largely unexplored by searches in any final state.
