The diploma thesis focuses on ethical aspects of social-pedagogical work of workers in helping professions and has theoretical-empirical character. The aim of the thesis is to explore the ethical dimension of socio-pedagogical work and to find out which tools are used by helping professionals in decision making and in coping with ethical dilemmas considering ethical codes and principles. The theoretical part deals in individual chapters with the topic of socio- pedagogical work, professional ethics and also describes the role of the worker in helping professions and his relationship with the client. The professional values are examined based on analyses of codes of ethics and in the final chapters of the theoretical part the diploma thesis focuses on ethically problematic areas and related ethical dilemmas encoured by workers in helping professions. The empirical part offers by analysing the semi-structured interviews with workers an extension of the theoretical knowledge of the ethical aspects of social- pedagogical work on the dimension of the experience of the workers in the helping professions themselves and presents their strategies in solving and processing ethically dilemmatic situations. The thesis focuses on probation supervision of offenders of serious crime, which can be considered a tool of in working with clients. The thesis has a theoretical-empirical character. The aim of this thesis is to determine the degree of influence of probation supervision on offenders of serious crime from the perspective of a probation officer. The theoretical part of the thesis is first devoted to the general issue of restorative justice and the Probation and Mediation Service of the Czech Republic, which is an important institution in the field of criminal justice and social work. Then the thesis deals specifically with probation supervision. The next chapter defines serious crime and the specifics of supervision of its offenders. The supervision itself is also described from a social pedagogical perspective. The theoretical part of the thesis is rounded off by a summary of some existing Czech research in this field. The thesis provide an analysis of environment that might influence processes of socialization of youth people. Next to this description of socially and/or pedagogically working organizations and institutions that focus on youth and their parents in the area of risk behaviour with an aim to prevent dependence on mind-altering substances is provided. Theoretical part of the thesis discusses socio-cultural factors. Therefore roles especially of family as primary institution responsible for socialization as well as of socio-pedagogically working organizations in drug prevention targeting youth and their parents is described. Empirical part of the thesis addresses ways that parents of young users of drugs used to prevent risky behaviour of their children, what sources and types of informations about drugs they used, and to what extend they have been prepared to solve potential problems that might result in drug dependence. Also with the use of a narrative analysis it is discussed where parents sought professional help and what was their opinion about quality of socio- pedagogical intervention delivered by individual organizations.

This Diploma Thesis deals with the issues of social and pedagogical work with the minorities. The opening chapters aim to determine the basic theoretical terms and they introduce basic information about some selected national minorities. The core of the practical part of this work describes the processes and specific activities, which can help in integrating pupils, who belong to ethnic minorities, into the educational system. The closing chapters of this Diploma Thesis include an empirical survey, focused on professional orientation and vocational selection among the Roma pupils at the basic school in Obrnice. Attention is drawn to the family influence and the role of school and other institutions operating in this field.

Annotation: The presented work deals with the contemporary Salesian education on the background of pedagogical principles of the preventive system of Don Bosco, which was formulated as a response to concrete historical conditions of life and needs of young boys in Turine in the second half of the 19th century and was based on a personal experience of a young priest and tutor John Bosco. The goal of the work is to ascertain through an analysis of the contemporary Salesisan education and concrete activities of Czech Salesian Youth Centres, whether and in what extant the Salesian activities can be considered as a social pedagogical work. The work is divided into five parts. Part One is focused on the historical context of the origin of the Salesian movement, whereas Part Two on the preventive system, as was applied by Don Bosco in his work. Part three is dedicated to the contemporary Salesian education and Part Four describes the functions, methods and forms of work in Czech Salesian Youth Centres. The thesis deals with the topic of psychological aspects which are essential for the work of social pedagogue in the area of social work. It deals with individual psychological aspects selected by comparison of the specific literature and researches in that area. Chosen terms consist of social interaction, social communication, social intelligence and empathy. Social communication emphasizes social pedagogical communication which is used by the social pedagogue during the communication process with clients. Further, it specifies the problematics of social interaction as a basis of the creation of interpersonal relationships. The thesis defines basic paradigms in the area of social intelligence and social competence, especially it deals with the term of social skill. Specifically, it shows the skill of active listening, which is classified as a basis of dialogue with clients. At the end the thesis emphasizes the significance of empathy among helping professions, it defines models and theories of empathy. The aim of the thesis concerns the definition of individual psychological aspects in the work of social pedagogue in the area of social work and classify them to the context of helping profession.

Iškelta hipotezė, jog efektyviai pedagoginei pagalbai (savižudybių prevencijai) įgyvendinti trukdo nepakankamas socialinių pedagogų ir klasės auklėtojų bendradarbiavimas. Anketinės apklausos metodu buvo atliktas tyrimas, kurio tikslas - atskleisti socialinių pedagogų ir klasės auklėtojų bendradarbiavimo ypatumus. Atlikta statistinė duomenų analizė. Tyrime dalyvavo 263 pedagogai. Empirinėje dalyje nagrinėjama socialinio pedagogo ir klasės auklėtojo bendradarbiavimo situacija ir galimybės užtikrinant savižudybės prevencijos programos paslaugas vaikui ir jo aplinkai. Svarbiausios empirinio tyrimo išvados: 1. Bendri socialinių pedagogų ir klasės auklėtojų tikslai, padedant pagalbos reikalaujančiam mokiniui, formuoja teigiamą požiūrį į ugdymo institucijos aplinką bei tuo pačiu inicijuoja tarpusavio bendradarbiavimą. 2. The hypothesis that an effective pedagogical assistance (Suicide Prevention) prevents the lack of social class and teacher educators co-operation. Method of questionnaire survey was carried out with a goal - to reveal the social class and teacher educators co-features. A statistic analysis of data. The study involved 263 teachers. The empirical part examines social class and teacher educator co-operation situation and the possibility of providing suicide prevention program services to children and the environment. The main empirical findings: 1. Shared social class and teacher educators support the objectives of which provides assistance to pupils, forming a positive attitude towards the environment and the educational institution at the same time initiate mutual cooperation. 2.
