Růžová, Karolina January 2019 (has links)
The topic of this diploma thesis is communication in adult clients with autism and its systematic support. The text itself consists of two main parts: theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part is further divided into four chapters which deal with the basic concepts of autism spectrum disorders and communication. In these chapters, autism spectrum disorders are analysed from the viewpoint of historical development, etiology, classification and symptomatology with regard to the manifestation of ASD in adulthood. The chapters which deal with the topic of communication first define communication as such and the important terms associated with it, and then describe the specific abnormalities that may occur in the communication of people with autism spectrum disorder. They also provide support options that can be used to communicate with people with ASD. The practical part is then conceived as a qualitative research whose main aim is to describe the communication of people with autism spectrum disorder, to show its specifics and to describe the intervention that was introduced in five individual subjects. In accordance with the main objective, partial objectives and research questions were set. The research part describes the environment in which the research took place and provides five case...

Konektom u poruch autistického spektra / Connectome in Autism spectrum disorders

Hrašková, Markéta January 2019 (has links)
This theoretical thesis covers the issues of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) in relation to the brain connectome research. ASD belong to the group of neurodevelopmental syndromes and are characterized by deficits in communication skills, social interaction and stereotypic behaviors. The prevalence of ASD increases, its etiopathogenesis is very likely multifactorial. Within the ASD syndrome, precise differential diagnostic algorithms are difficult to implement in the absence of objective biomarkers. Extensive neuroscientific research, including the connectome projects, might improve the diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the field of Psychiatry, including ASD. The individual's connectome profile might well serve as a new biomarker in psychiatric diagnostic and therapeutic approaches. The brain connectome represents the net of all neuronal connections in the brain. Mapping of the connectome across all ages, in health and in disease, is the main goal of the Human Connectome Project (HCP). The first HCP data show great interindividual variability with the environmental factors playing a crucial role. Extensive neurobiology research data on mechanisms of memory support the vital role of environmental stimulation in compensating for behavioral symptoms in ASD. Applied behavior analysis (ABA) is an...

Nové přístupy k diagnostice dětského autismu. / New approaches to the diagnosis of autism.

Beranová, Štěpánka January 2018 (has links)
Objectives: Within the last decade there has been growing emphasis on early diagnosis of autism. It has been proved, that early diagnosis of autism followed by an appropriate intensive intervention lead to the reduction of autistic psychopathology and significant improvement of the child's prognosis. Efforts to identify children at risk of autism as early as possible resulted in the development of many screening tools and some new diagnostic methods that could be used even before the age of two years. Despite many attempts of the researchers worldwide, we still lack general agreement on the optimal screening method. Abnormal sensory symptoms have a specific position among the early signs of autism. Difficulties with sensory processing have been associated with autism since it was first defined as a diagnosis; nevertheless evaluation of sensory symptoms is under-represented in autism screening tools. There has been a long lasting debate whether sensory symptoms are a component of core autistic deficits or a co-morbid phenomenon, however, new version of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5) has already included sensory dysfunction among the diagnostic criteria of Autism Spectrum Disorder. Methods: Over 90% of children with autism have sensory abnormalities and present with...

Digitalizace televizního vysílání ve Spojených státech / Digital television transition in the United states

Boch, Vítězslav January 2017 (has links)
This thesis describes digital television transition in the United States. Its goal is to introduce the way how digital television broadcasting in the United States was formed and analog broadcasting was switched off, and how these changes affected American television market and usage of broadcasting spectrum. In the first part I explain a context in which American television market has been formed and has developed until the beginning of 1990s, when the debate about digital television broadcasting commenced. Reason for a development of the new television norm was a desire to broadcast in high definition. Establishment of ATSC norm is explained in 4th chapter. Following chapter describes how digital television coverage grew and what the expenses were for viewers. The thesis then describes spectrum auctions and changes in the television market which digital television transition brought. When the transition ended need for a new debate about television emerged because current norm is becoming obsolete and did not allow broadcasting in ultra high definition. This lead to the development of ATSC 3.0 norm which allows broadcasting more programs in terrestrial television broadcasting and allows expanding terrestrial broadcasting to other mobile devices.
