Valentim, Marcos Vargas 17 August 2018 (has links)
In the Brazilian Technical Standard concerning means of egress (ABNT NBR 9077. 2001) it is presumed that the profile of students\' population in educational buildings, from elementary school to college, is homogeneous. Therefore, it does not consider the eventual particularities intrinsic to specific age groups during the use of egress systems. Assuming that the profile of elementary school children may be different from adults\', the criteria applicable to a variety of means of egress components could be more specific according to the occupant\'s characteristics. Thus, data regarding walking speeds and behavioral aspects of children in descending movement of stairs were collected and analyzed. Anthropometric data (weight, height and bideltoid measurement) from each child were also collected in order to seek correlations between these dimensions and the walking speeds. 783 elementary students from 3 different public schools, ages varying from 6 to 10 years old, participated in this research. Two techniques were tested for collecting data: recorded images from closed-circuit television (CCTV) and signals from radio-frequency identification (RFID); however, the last one was discarded due to technical difficulties. When compared to the speeds adopted by the egress simulation softwares \"FDS+EVAC\" and \"Simulex\", it was noticed that children\'s travel speeds in stairs are actually quite similar to the ones adopted for adults (0,45 m/s to 1,05 m/s), contrasting with the common sense that infants are slower than grown-ups. As for the walking speeds on landings, a wide dispersion in relation to parameters determined for adults and children was found. It was also noticed that most infants chose the shortest path (internal) on landings and that designation of a simplified average trajectory can lead to inaccurate travel speeds. Regarding the anthropometric measurements and walking speeds, no direct correlation was found. Due to the significant dispersion of the results, the initial hypothesis of this research could not be confirmed.

Analýza frameworků pro vývoj multiplatformních mobilních aplikací využívající HTML technologie / Analysis framework for developing cross-platform mobile applications using HTML technology.

Voldřich, Martin January 2014 (has links)
The aim of the master thesis is to assess frameworks that are used for development of multiplatform cell phone applications supported by HTML technology. The theoretical part is focused to current market analysis, mobile access issues and the issue of difficulties in specific cases of their application. Analysis is followed by choice of evaluation criteria for setting the most appropriate architecture. Selected evaluation criteria will be used as a tool for detecting of the optimal technology's possibility, which is the most appropriate possibility for development of basic cell phones applications. The practical part is focused to choosing of new evaluation criteria, which helps to create specific questionnaire research. The confirmation or refuse of the hypothesis set up the level of criteria's severity. Based on criteria there will be selected and analysed six of the most used hybrid frameworks. Two of the frameworks with the highest ratings will be tested by real basic cell phone application. The conclusion of the thesis will be follow up by tested frameworks. The frameworks will be described and measured by the author's development experiences.

Brněnské nábřeží - rehabilitace brněnských řek a jejich blízkého okolí / Brno waterfront - rehabilitation of rivers and their surrounding areas

Manclová, Miroslava January 2017 (has links)
The theme of the work is revitalisation of the Brno rivers, specifically the river Svitava. The main idea of the work is the understanding the river as a city-building element, as a place of potential that every city should fully utilize. People like to spend their free time at the water and such a space should satisfy their needs. The river flows smoothly throught the city, and people should be able to move freely around it. In the ideal case, it should be a green path across urban area. The solved territory is situated in the Brno-Zábrdovice district, which hasn´t ideal reputation. Its image is shaped by, among others, industrial areas which are quite often derelict. My task was to correctly distribute one of these sites, which is located near the Zábrdovice Monastery. The solved territory is currently a non-coherent and inconsistent structure that does not support the image of the site. The river is completely supressed at this point and the movement around it is very limited. In my design I tried to create a place that would offer a lot of activities through the day. I have modified the functions I have in the territory and supported by my proposal to form a working entity together. In such a territory will meet people, who work or live here, who are using the services or come to sport or spend their free time in the pleasant environment of Svitava river.

Brněnské brownfieldy u řeky Svitavy / Brno brownfields by the Svitava river

Macháček, Tomáš January 2018 (has links)
The theme of the diploma thesis „Brno brownfields by the Svitava River“ Is design of contemporary city structure in Brno Husovice. The theisis deals with the analysis of the current situation, definition of problems and opportunities in the location and the design, based on these researches. Studied area is located on the riverbank of the Svitava River and is defined by Provazníkova, Dukelská třída and Svitavské nábřeží streets. In these days there are mostly located brownfields of the previous industry parks, storage spaces and development of family houses. The design puts emphasis on the gentle merge with the urban structure of the old Husovice and focuses on using modern architectonic and urban approaches as well, for example on multifunctionality of buildings. The riverbank is revitalised and attractive features are designed here, like the footbridges conneting both river sides and sittable stairs. These designs provide space for leisure time and a water control during the floods as well. The traffic solution is concerned on the design of the new Nová Dukelská street, connecting formerly Zbrojovka industry park and Provazníkova street.
