Designing and implementing a system for automating the Java project analysis process

Yan, Zheng January 2008 (has links)
<p>A process for the analysis and collection of information of software systems has been defined. It extracts relevant information of project source files from an online repository and stores that meta-information in a database for further processing. Then, according to the meta-information in the database, it downloads the source files and writes the feedback information back to the database as well. Now the data can be used as input for various analysis tools, in our case a tool called VizzAnalyzer, which reads the project source code and performs a series of software quality analyses.</p><p>But actually, the process, which is mentioned above needs, a lot of manual work, makes the work inefficient and the analysis of large numbers of projects impossible.</p><p>Thus, a series of thesis projects has been devised to automate the whole process. This thesis aims at automating the information extraction and source file download work, which will make the latter preparation of the analysis task much easier and more efficient.</p>

Informacinės posistemės, aprašančios individualizuotą žmogaus fiziologinį modelį fizinio krūvio metu, kūrimas / The development of information subsystem for individual human physiologic model during load

Berškienė, Kristina 08 June 2005 (has links)
The statistics claim, that people who are not physically active live shorter and they are ill more often. Only an individual physical activity is useful. For choosing the right activity the doctors have to investigate the patient, analyse and store his data for the future. The aim of this work was to describe mathematically the integral estimation model, using the model of physical load effect. We created the information subsystem of human functional state model for individual person using the convolution of Meally and Moore automata. The result is the applied program for the consumer – physiologist. This subsystem can be used in e – health for modeling the virtual doctor.

The Roles of the Main Olfactory and Vomeronasal Systems in Prey Detection by Two Terrestrial Salamanders

Telfer, Angela 13 September 2011 (has links)
Terrestrial salamanders of the genus Plethodon are among many vertebrates possessing both main olfactory and vomeronasal systems, which the Volatility Theory posits are for detection of volatile and soluble olfactory cues, respectively. Further recent work showing a high amount of convergence between the two olfactory subsystems at the level of the central nervous system suggests complementary or overlapping roles for them. This study examined the use of the olfactory subsystems in prey detection from the perspectives of behaviour and neurobiology. Red-backed salamanders, Plethodon cinereus, were observed in standardized behavioural assays with both volatile and soluble prey olfactory cues. Naïve salamanders showed an increase in nosetapping as well as a side preference in the presence of soluble and volatile prey cues when tested in a 22°C day/20°C night room. In a 15°C day /12°C night room, salamanders increased nosetapping in the presence of soluble prey cues. Salamanders showed a pattern of responses that differed based on their previous experience with the assay, as well as the temperature of the testing room. Attempts to study the neurobiology of olfactory function in Plethodon shermani were inconclusive up to this point, but future directions are discussed. This study shows the importance of olfaction in prey detection by salamanders and that prey searching behaviour is exhibited in the exclusive presence of olfactory cues.

Controle adaptativo para acesso à memória compartilhada em sistemas em chip / Adaptive control for shared access memory in system-on-chip the number

Bonatto, Alexsandro Cristóvão January 2014 (has links)
The number of Processing Elements (PE) contained in a System-on-Chip (SoC) follows the growth of the number of transistors per chip. A SoC composed of multiple PEs, in some ap- plications such as multimedia, implements algorithms that handle large volumes of data and justify the use of an external memory with large capacity. External memory accesses are shared by multiple PEs adding challenges that may have special attention because they constitute the bottleneck for performance and relevant factor for power consumption. In the case where the PEs are microprocessors, this issue becomes even more evident as the rate of increase of speed of microprocessors exceeds the rate of increase in speed of DRAM. This effect is called “mem- ory wall” and represents that the bottleneck processing is related to the speed of data access. In this scenario, new access control strategies are needed to improve processing performance. Heterogeneous platforms for multimedia processing are formed by several PEs. The concur- rent accesses to DRAM reduce bandwidth and increase latency access to data, degrading the processing performance. This thesis shows that significant improvements in computational effi- ciency can be obtained using a design methodology oriented to the functional aspects of DRAM through a memory subsystem with adaptive management. It is presented the data communica- tion architecture for integration of PEs system based on an analytical model to reduce latency and guarantee Quality of Service (QoS). The memory subsystem is organized as a hierarchy of memories, with a proposed integration of PEs oriented centered in the main memory. The memory subsystem centralized data communication and manages the access of several PEs sys- tem so that communication is served according to the needs of each application. This thesis proposes three major contributions: 1) a methodology for design integrated systems based on the memory-centric design approach, 2) an analytical model based on delays used to evaluate the worst-case performance of the memory subsystem, 3) an arbiter for adaptive management of accesses to the external memory with guaranteed execution times of transactions.
