Sportcenter i Västertorp / Sports Center in VästertorpGårdendal, Andreas January 2014 (has links)
Stockholm City needs to expand the capacity of their public baths and sports facilities. In addition, the renovation need is great for all bathhouses. The popular bath in Västertorp covers a large area but needs to be demolished due to its poor condition. Instead appartments will be built on the site and the bath will move to the southern tip of the park Mellanbergsparken to become a noise barrier between the highway (E4/E20) and the park that the city wants to start programming. The new bathhouse will be a nice end to the park and will also include two full-sized sport halls, fitness center and group training rooms hence the name "Sports Center". The sports center is thus divided into three volumes, consisting of the sport halls, a fitness part and the bath-house. The location of the center will have an increased availability through the highway and thus avoiding burdening the area's existing traffic. I have designed a new roundabout that will solve today's difficult traffic situation and reduce speed in the neighborhood. There are also two new bus stops in both directions. The site's existing swimming-pool should not be integrated into the plan as it is only used for three months during the year and should continue to remain with free entrance. Otherwise, the proposal is based on guidelines from the Sport Management department of the municipality. The function of the program has been shaping the outer volume. Analyses from the area has defined the project and the concept of the mesh facade is to represent water and speed. The facade has four basic ideas: to provide an exciting internal play of light, protect from the sun's direct rays, absorb the noise and become a spectacle for the cars on the highway day and night. The focus was to solve the program logistically while getting exciting aesthetic solutions in materials and light. In addition, there are solutions to how the bath house can be kept clean through easy design methods. The challenge was to fit all the functions on the relatively small plot. The project has been an exercise in new programs on how to project architecture, and logging the work process.

Dětská léčebna se speleoterapií v Ostrově u Macochy / Sanatorium with speleotherapy for children in Ostrov u MacochyPromna, Denisa Unknown Date (has links)
The main idea was to choose a child as a measure of design. Immerse yourself in his world and his perception of space - keep in mind his needs. What did the place where he would be able to recover from respiratory problems look like? Was she in the hospital? What kind of room was that? What was that for? place? Did nature play any meaning in that? Would you like to go back there? How does she remember him? The aim was to create a place that resembles the hospital environment as little as possible, is in direct contact with nature and attracts to get to know it more. The stay in the hospital should be more reminiscent of spending holidays at school in nature. How to avoid austere hospital premises? Is there such a guide at all? Should I draw inspiration elsewhere? Where do we go to gain strength from everyday worries? In nature, of course. And how does this need translate into architecture? And we have at all such architecture? The answer to the questions I asked was the cottage. House created for a stay in nature. But how to lift it to something richer and more interesting? There was something else that fascinated me as a child spending time in Luhačovice - the spa environment. How these two forms to connect?

Koupání dětí v krytých bazénech / Bathing of children in indoor swimming pools.OHEROVÁ, Martina January 2016 (has links)
This diploma thesis deals with bathing children, especially infants and toddlers, in indoor swimming pools. It focuses primarily on the potential health and hygiene risks of this activity. It is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part provides a deeper insight into the field of artificial swimming pools, is dedicated to current as well as first ever legislation, in more detail is dedicated to the hygienic requirements for swimming pools according to Decree no. 238/2011, as amended; describes the process of pool water treatment, provides an overview of possible types of disinfecting pool water treatment and comparison within the advantages and disadvantages, describes indicators of water quality and their importance, and mostly focuses on hygienic and health risks in connection with the visit of indoor pools. Gives examples from practice (epidemic), mentions the most common sources of pollution including the most common violations of visitors. The theme of hygienic and health risks is then divided according to the origin of risk to the microbiological part (dedicated to infectious agents), to chemical part (disinfection by products) and to the part of accident risks and risks associated with the water temperature. The thesis is also keenly interested in the views of experts for bathing children, especially infants and toddlers, in indoor artificial pools. Research in the practical part was made by a qualitative method using secondary data analysis (operational and guest regulations, operational logbooks for 2015, the results of laboratory analysis of pool water for the 2015, laws and decrees), participant observation and interviews. The research was conducted in indoor swimming pools in towns Jihlava and Prachatice, which run swimming courses for infants and toddlers as well as for older children. For research, I set the following goals: C1: To monitor the microbiological and the physical-chemical indicators of the pool water quality in relation to Decree no. 238/2011 Coll., as amended, in pre-selected artificial indoor pools during annual operation. C2: To focus on the health status of children (infants and toddlers) in swimming classes. C3: To find out the knowledge and attitudes of visitors (parents) and trainers in the field of hygiene principles for swimming in artificial pools and risks arising from them. Based on the targets I have set the following research questions: V1: Are the monitored microbiological and physico-chemical water quality limits exceeded, and if so, which and under what circumstances? V2: What health problems, if they occured, did infants and toddlers after regular visits of indoor pools have ? V3: Are these children suffering from allergic diseases, and if so, from what type? V4: What knowledge and attitudes do visitors (parents) and lecturers in the field of hygienic principles for swimming in artificial pools and potential risks have? This thesis may serve the general public to extend the knowledge in the field of bathing (not only the children) in artificial pools and to give a view on this subject from different perspectives, as well as operators of swimming pools as an information material.

Centrum pro sport a volný čas Brno / Sports and Leisure Centre BrnoChovanečková, Nikol January 2017 (has links)
The theme of the dissertation titled the Centre of Sport and Leisure Time in Brno is a design of a relaxing and sport site „Centrum Lužánky“. The subject of this project is architectonic-city-planning study, which deals with elaborating a concept of a sport centre behind Lužánky in Brno-Ponava. This dissertation contains details of the facility and the area of the current swimming pool Lužánky. The current state of the facility built in 1979 doesn’t meet requirements of visitors and sportsmen anymore. The main aim of this project is the reconstruction of the current fifty-meter swimming pool, a design of a new swimming pool placed under the ground floor of the current building, which will provide space for organizing international competitions, trainings of professional sportsmen, etc. At the same time the busyness of the current swimming pools would be lowered by building a new indoor and outdoor waterpark, especially for the group of recreational visitors. The attractiveness of the facility will be increased by the newly designed park relaxing area and proposed multipurpose area, used as a sports field in the summer and as an ice ring in the winter. Additional value of the facility is comprised by an indoor and outdoor café and large relaxing area on the roof of the waterpark. The whole area increases the community facility availability by a proposed wide range of services for health, relax and sport. The advantage of the whole concept is the mutual connection of all facilities. The entrance to the area is shortened by a designed pedestrian bridge, accessible from the south and north busy areas. The whole project is enhanced by increased number of new parking places, located particularly along the access road, the street Sportovní, going through a green zone. The road and parking places are proposed in the design of residential streets, respecting walking pedestrians. The area has a very rich sport history, which is dated back to 1922. The new concept increases th
