The WHO Code of Marketing of Breast Milk Substitute is a public health recommendation to reduce preventable causes of infant morbidity and mortality associated with malnutrition. Irresponsible marketing of infant formula in hospitals is a threat to exclusive breastfeeding. Nurses are mandated to support, encourage and protect breastfeeding and to familiarize themselves with their responsibilities under this Code. The researcher explored Geneva nurses' knowledge of the Code and its impact in practice. Eighty seven point seven percent of the participating nurses had poor level of knowledge of the Code. Poor knowledge of the Code impacts on the quality and consistency of information given to mothers in hospitals. Inadvertent violations of the Code were observed among a minority of the respondents: 7.3% indicated that they received gifts; 2.4% received sponsorships to conferences. Training about the Code and its application in counseling is recommended to complement the babyfriendly initiative at hospitals to improve nutrition outcomes. / Health Studies / M.A. (Public Health)

A prática da arbitragem comercial internacional tem se deparado, há pelos menos quatro décadas, com a problemática da extensão da cláusula compromissória a uma parte não-signatária, integrante do mesmo grupo de sociedades a que pertence uma das partes integrantes da convenção, em razão do comportamento adotado pela parte não-signatária nas fases de negociação do contrato, execução ou extinção. Nesse sentido, a prática da Corte Internacional de Arbitragem da Câmara de Comércio Internacional dos últimos trinta anos e reiteradas decisões judiciais em países de diferentes tradições jurídicas como a França, Suíça e Estados Unidos têm se manifestado favoravelmente a essa extensão subjetiva da convenção de arbitragem. O estudo da doutrina nacional e da jurisprudência do Superior Tribunal de Justiça sobre os grupos de sociedades e seus efeitos, e a análise detida de diversos precedentes do Superior Tribunal de Justiça e do Supremo Tribunal Federal sobre a homologação de sentenças arbitrais estrangeiras, revelam a compatibilidade da referida prática arbitral internacional com o ordenamento jurídico brasileiro. / The possibility of extending an arbitration clause so that it binds a non-signatory company which is a member of the same corporate group as one of the signatories, on the basis of the conduct of said non-signatory during the negotiation, performance and termination of the contract, has been an issue in international commercial arbitration for the past three decades. The precedents of the International Arbitration Court of the International Chamber of Commerce during the past thirty years, and judicial decisions in countries such as France, Switzerland and the United States have been favorable to the extension of the arbitral convention to non-signatories. Analysis of the work of Brazilian legal commentators and the case law of the Superior Court of Justice relating to the group of companies doctrine [teoria dos grupos de sociedades], as well as analysis of several precedents of both the Superior Court of Justice and the Federal Supreme Court on the recognition of foreign arbitral awards, indicates that the international arbitration practice of the ICC on the extension of the arbitral agreement to non-signatories is compatible with the Brazilian legal system.

O trabalho inclui o desenvolvimento do algoritmo de reconstrução dos mésons D* através do canal de decaimento D*->D0 + pion (lento) ->K+pion, a medida da eficiência de detecção e reconstrução, e uma análise do comportamento de variáveis cinemáticas na produção difrativa dessas partículas, particularmente, das lacunas de rapidez. Para isso, foi utilizada uma luminosidade integrada de 3,171pb^(-1) de dados coletados no ano de 2010. As análises com os dados experimentais foram comparadas com os resultados obtidos com geradores de Monte Carlo PYTHIA6, PYTHIA8 e POMPYT. / In this work we present a very preliminary study of the diffractive production of mesons D* from proton-proton collisions, at center of mass energy of 7 TeV, with the CMS-LHC experiment. The decay channel where D*->D0 + pion (slow) ->K+pion was reconstructed and the efficiency was computed. An analysis of the dependence of the kinematical variables,particularly of the pseudo rapidity gap Δη, on the meson production was done. A total luminosity of 3.171pb^(-1) of data collected in the year of 2010 was analyzed, and the reconstructed data were compared to the ones obtained with PYTHIA6, PYTHIA8 and POMPYT generators.

The objective of this diploma thesis is search processing of tourism, his problematics and protection of the nature. In the other part this thesis deal with analysis of hiking trail in Labske piskovce PLA in focus of potentional atractive with proposal of new hiking trails in this location. Analysis containe all hiking trails in this location according to colored tourism distinction of trails. Proposal of new hiking trails was formed with regard on protection of nature thus at the same time was surrounding area approached for visitors as much as possible. Proposal comprise new and turisty often attended attractiviness. This proposal can produce increase of attractiviness in this district and the influx of new turists.

Esta dissertação tem como objetivo analisar e identificar como se deu o processo de migração de mulheres brasileiras a Suíça, que vieram a casar-se com suíços e as repercussões desse casamento em suas vidas. Nesta perspectiva, foram considerados os aspectos relacionados às motivações para a migração e as dificuldades enfrentadas ao chegar; as circunstancias em que conheceram seus maridos; a adaptação ao país, à família do cônjuge e ao próprio casamento e, finalmente, os sentimentos experimentados e as necessidades sentidas. O trabalho está dividido em três artigos, sendo um teórico e dois empíricos. O primeiro apresenta um breve levantamento histórico sobre o casamento e as transformações que esta instituição vem sofrendo ao longo do tempo. O segundo artigo procura investigar as motivações da migração e como as participantes vieram a se casar. O terceiro artigo estuda o casamento intercultural, entre brasileiras e suíços, e as repercussões desse casamento em suas vidas. A metodologia é baseada na abordagem qualitativa. Foram entrevistadas doze mulheres que vivem na parte alemã da Suíça. A análise dos dados foi realizada a partir da Análise de Conteúdo Temática. Os resultados indicam que as motivações das participantes para a migração estão relacionadas à procura de melhores oportunidades de vida ou por terem se apaixonado por um suíço. Algumas se casaram para permanecer no país, outras por amor. Entretanto, de maneira geral, as dificuldades encontradas no casamento são semelhantes: dificuldades com o idioma, a mentalidade suíça, a criação dos filhos, a religião e com os familiares / This dissertation aims to analyze and identify the process of migration of Brazilian women to Switzerland who came to marry with Swiss men and the repercussions of this marriage in their lives. In this perspective were considered the aspects related to the motivations for the migration and the difficulties at the arrival; the circumstances at meeting their husbands; the adaptation to the country, to the family in law and to the marriage itself; and finally the feelings experienced and the needs felt. The research is divided into three articles, one theoretical and two empirical. The first one presents a brief historical uprising about marriage and the transformation this institution has been suffering a long time. The second article searches to investigate the motivations of the migration and how the participants came to marry. The third article studies the intercultural marriage between Brazilian women and Swiss men, and the repercussions of this marriage in their lives. The methodology was based in a qualitative approach. Twelve Brazilian women who are married with Swiss men and live in Switzerland in the German part were interviewed. The appreciation of the data was realized with Minayos Content Analysis. The results indicate that the motivations for the migration of the participants are related to the search of better life opportunities or for falling in love with a Swiss. Some married for staying in the country, other married because of love. Nevertheless, in general, the difficulties found in marriage were similar: difficulties with the language, swiss way of thinking, children education, religion and relatives

The thesis deals with changes in prices of property after accession to the European Union. Its main aim is to provide a practical review of relevant legislation and describe current situation in land valuation in the CR .Next aim is to compare price of real estates in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Switzerland. In the section devoted to land valuation in the CR the thesis gives a historic review of valuation legislation since the year 1918 up to present and compares the effective executive regulation No. 364/2010 Coll. with the previous regulation to apply Act no.151/1997 Coll., on Evaluation of Property and on the Amendment of Certain Law, as amended. In the next chapters are presented basic general principles and methods of valuation, as well as the purpose of valuation. In some chapters there are examples of bid prices and market prices. Below there are given charts and tables for real insight. One chapter is devoted to the situation in the Slovak Republic and one is paid to the situation in Switzerland. In conclusion, the results are compared among the selected countries. The thesis is complemented by annexes, which relate to the topic, for example expert opinion on the valuation of property, executed by a judicial expert.

This PhD thesis presents the measurement of the differential cross section for the production of a Z boson in association with jets in proton-proton collisions taking place at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN, at a centre-of-mass energy of 8 TeV.
