Previous issue date: 2010-03-16 / Coordena??o de Aperfei?oamento de Pessoal de N?vel Superior / This paper presents a new multi-model technique of dentification in ANFIS for nonlinear systems. In this technique, the structure used is of the fuzzy Takagi-Sugeno of which the consequences are local linear models that represent the system of different points of operation and the precursors are membership functions whose adjustments are realized by the learning phase of the neuro-fuzzy ANFIS technique. The models that represent the system at different points of the operation can be found with linearization techniques like, for example, the Least Squares method that is robust against sounds and of simple application. The fuzzy system is responsible for informing
the proportion of each model that should be utilized, using the membership functions. The membership functions can be adjusted by ANFIS with the use of neural network algorithms, like the back propagation error type, in such a way that the models found for each area are correctly interpolated and define an action of each model for possible entries into the system. In multi-models, the definition of action of models is known as metrics and, since this paper is based on ANFIS, it shall be denominated in ANFIS metrics. This way, ANFIS metrics is utilized to interpolate various models, composing a system to be identified. Differing from the traditional ANFIS, the created technique necessarily represents the system in various well defined regions by unaltered models whose pondered activation as per the membership functions. The selection of regions for the application of the Least Squares method is realized manually from the graphic analysis of the system behavior or from the physical characteristics of the plant. This selection serves as a base to initiate the linear model defining technique and generating the initial configuration of the membership functions.
The experiments are conducted in a teaching tank, with multiple sections, designed and created to show the characteristics of the technique. The results from this tank illustrate the performance reached by the technique in task of identifying, utilizing configurations of ANFIS, comparing the developed technique with various models of simple metrics and comparing with the NNARX technique, also adapted to identification / Este trabalho apresenta uma nova t?cnica de identifica??o multimodelos baseada em ANFIS para sistemas n?o lineares. Diferentemente do ANFIS tradicional, a t?cnica desenvolvida necessariamente representa o sistema em v?rias regi?es bem definidas por modelos inalter?veis que, por sua vez, ter?o sua ativa??o ponderada a partir das fun??es de pertin?ncia. A sele??o de regi?es para a aplica??o do m?todo dos M?nimos Quadrados ? realizada manualmente a partir da an?lise gr?fica do comportamento do sistema ou a partir do conhecimento de caracter?sticas f?sicas da planta. Fugacidade de CO2, massas d'água e bombeamento de Ekman no Oceano Atlântico SudoesteReis, Rafael Afonso do Nascimento January 2016 (has links)
O trabalho aqui apresentado utiliza dados da fugacidade de CO2 (fCO2) coletados por onze cruzeiros oceanográficos no Oceano Atlântico Sudoeste (OAS) que fazem parte do banco de dados do SOCAT para analisar a variabilidade espacial da fCO2 e as principais variáveis relacionadas a suas variações. Foram utilizados dados do satélite AQUA para se estudar a fCO2 sobre os campos médios mensais de temperatura da superfície do mar (TSM) e concentração de clorofila. Também foram utilizados dados de reanálise para descrever os campos de vento e pressão atmosférica em superfície durante o período de cada cruzeiro. Através dos dados de vento em superfície foram calculados os campos de bombeamento de Ekman. Os resultados demonstram que a principal variável responsável pelas variações da fCO2 foi a TSM (em geral com coeficiente de correlação r>0,8) e que as distintas massas d'água na região apresentam diferentes fCO2, sendo que as massas d'água mais quentes apresentam valores mais elevados que as mais frias. As águas da Pluma do Rio da Prata apresentam uma fCO2 que chega a ser ate 1,5 vezes maior que as outras massas d'água. Descreve-se, pela primeira vez no OAS, a importância de se considerarem os padrões de vento em superfície (através do bombeamento de Ekman) e não somente os valores de TSM e concentração de clorofila para uma melhor análise da fCO2 em relação às massas d'água no OAS. / The work presented here uses CO2 fugacity data (fCO2) collected by eleven oceanographic cruises in the Southwestern Atlantic Ocean (SAO) that are part of the SOCAT database to analyze the spatial variability of the fCO2 and the main variables related to its variations. AQUA satellite data were used to study the fCO2 over the monthly averaged sea surface temperature (SST) and chlorophyll concentration fields. Reanalysis data were also used to describe the wind and surface atmospheric pressure fields during the period of each cruise. Through the surface wind data, the Ekman pumping fields were calculated. The results show that the main variable responsible for fCO2 variations was SST (in general with a correlation coefficient r> 0.8) and that the different water masses in the region present different fCO2, with the warmer water masses presenting higher values than the cold ones. The waters of the La Plata Plume present a fCO2 that is up to 1.5 times higher than the other water masses. It is described for the first time in OAS the importance of considering the surface wind patterns (through Ekman pumping) and not only the values of SST and chlorophyll concentration for a better analysis of fCO2 in relation to the water masses in the OAS.

艾略特經常被視為高蹈派的現代主義作家,他的主要任務是捍衛精英藝術的純粹性,以對抗大眾文化的入侵。這樣的看法加深現代精英藝術和通俗大眾文化之間的分野。將艾略特歸類於屬於現代精英藝術作家的陣營,簡化了其作品的深刻性。在後現代的年代中, 精英藝術和大眾文化之間的分野逐漸糢糊。採後現代主義的觀點來閱讀艾略特的作品,批評家發現艾略特熱愛大眾文化的一面。跟隨前人研究的腳步,本論文主要工作之一,即是探討艾略特兩部詩劇--史威尼論爭與家園重聚中大眾文化的成份。
巴赫汀是二十世紀重要的文學理論及評論家。對於文學中,尤其是小說這個文類中,對話與嘉年華的現象的研究,論述豐富,為此派理論與批評的大師。採用他的嘉年華理論作為本論文的研究方法,目的在闡釋艾略特的作品,其實遵循了嘉年華的文類傳統。而透過艾略特的努力,此一文類傳統的語言不僅更加豐富,同時也得到新生。在本論文中,史威尼論爭與家園重聚中的多音性與嘉年華的現象為研究的主題所在。 另外,以巴赫汀對怪誕的現實主義的描述為範本,這兩部詩劇當中的市場語言,節慶的形式或醜怪的意象也予以探究。這些研究結果發現,史威尼論爭與家園重聚中大眾文化的成份,以及嘉年華的精神是不容忽視的。

Eliot is usually considered by critics as a representative of the high modernist writer whose mission is to protect the purity of high art from the contamination of the popular culture. Such an opinion is to underpin the dichotomy between high modernist art and low popular culture. By taking Eliot on the side of high modernism, critics tend to simplify the profundity of Eliot’s works.
In our postmodern age, that the phenomenon of the increasing blurred boundaries between high art and popular culture is quite obvious. David Chinitz applies such a postmodern vantage point to read Eliot’s works and shows us that Eliot is a lover of popular culture. Following Chinitz’s study, I intend to examine the elements of popular culture in Eliot’s two poetic drama – Sweeney Agonistes and The Family Reunion.
M. M. Bakhtin is an important theorist and literary critic in the twentieth century. His achievement on the theories of dialogism and carnivalization is significant. Applying his theory of carnivalization to read Sweeney Agonistes and The Family Reunion, I hope to argue that Eliot, be it consciously or unconsciously, follows the genre tradition of carnivalization. Moreover, he enriches and perfects the language of this genre tradition and thus makes this genre tradition reborn and renewed.
In this thesis, I argue that Sweeney Agonistes and The Family Reunion are constructed under the principles of polyphony and carnivalization. Besides, based on the material bodily principle of grotesque realism, an analysis of the grotesque elements in these two works, such as marketplace languages, or popular-festive forms and images, or banquet images or images of bodily low stratum, is given in this thesis.
To a conclusion, through this Bakhtinian reading, the elements of popular culture and the carnivalistic spirits in Sweeney Agonistes and The Family Reunion are revealed.

許多批評家曾試著從各種角度解釋《四首四重奏》這個標題。 因為正如艾略特所宣示的,《四重奏》這個字(詞)是了解這部作品的正確途徑。 本文則試著從音樂的角度切入這部作品。 因為貝多芬的音樂在艾略特一生佔有舉足輕重的影響。艾略特也曾在多處提及深受貝多芬的A小調弦樂四重奏感動。另一方面,詩與音樂更是艾略特長久一來的關注重點。他相信,詩與音樂能達到某種程度的交流與可能性。正如他在《詩的音樂》一文中所宣示的。他認為詩與音樂的可能性主要包括在三方面。分別為韻律與結構,主題的重複,以及主題材料的對位式安排。因此,本文主要從音樂性的結構(音樂曲式),主題的發展、佈局來分析這部作品。

Critics try to decipher the title Four Quartets from different criteria because the word 'quartet' is the right tack for understanding the work. This thesis tries to examine Four Quartets from a musical criterion since Beethoven's music plays an important role in T. S. Eliot's life. Besides, T. S. Eliot mentions that he is deeply touched by Beethoven's string quartet in A minor. Most important of all, music remains T. S. Eliot's main concern throughout his life. He believes that to some extent there are possibilities of transformation between music and poetry as he declares in his "The Music of Poetry." He thinks that the possibilities exist in three ways. They are the sense of rhythm and structure, the recurrent use of themes and the contrapuntal arrangement of subject matter. Therefore, this thesis applies musical structures to analyze the development of themes in Four Quartets.
Structurally, Four Quartets and Beethoven's string quartet have similar structures or forms. In this thesis, it is found that the five movements of each quartet are in sonata form, (rounded) binary form, ternary form, march, and rondo form. Thematically, like Beethoven's string quartet, each quartet of Four Quartets mainly deals with the constant development, variation and reconciliation of contrasting themes. Besides, the characteristics of polyphony in Beethoven's late string quartets may be found in the juxtaposition of multiple themes in Four Quartets. This thesis is divided into four chapters. In each chapter, each quartet is analyzed from these three aspects. The thesis focuses on the development of themes in order to find out the interaction of themes and the musical structures in Four Quartets.

Wrestling with angels : T. S. Eliot, W. H. Auden, and the idea of a Christian poeticsMcAlonan, Pauline. January 2006 (has links)
This thesis addresses the impact of religious conversion on the later works of Eliot and Auden, and the manner in which they responded to each other as they developed a Christian poetics. Following an introduction which discusses the nature of their relationship as well as their basic theological positions, Chapter One examines their postconversion criticism, and particularly their stance on what is typically formulated as "the problem of belief in poetry," which focuses on how ideology influences a work's creation and reception. Chapter Two considers their transitional poetry, wherein their new religious beliefs figure prominently and their anxiety over the potential conflict between artistic and spiritual values is most acute. Chapter Three looks at their major postconversion poems and specifically at how Eliot's and Auden's understanding of the Incarnation informs their views on time, history, language, and literature, as embodied by these works. Chapter Four centers on their drama, initially comparing their early plays---written when Eliot was a Christian but Auden was not---to show how they employed similar techniques to further different ends, before turning to an examination of Eliot's later verse plays and Auden's libretti. I investigate the ideological motivation behind the adoption of these different dramatic forms, as well as the specific ways in which they affect how belief is conveyed. Throughout the dissertation, the effects of Eliot's and Auden's conversion upon their reputations and the difficulties facing modern Christian artists in general are given particular consideration.
