Interrogation tactics Abstract The submitted diploma thesis deals with the interrogation as a criminalistic procedure. The statement is obtained from interrogated persons by means of interrogation. The statement is a source of important knowledge of a crime. A crime can be successfully elucidated on the basis of knowledge. The aim of the diploma thesis is to sort knowledge of the interrogation, the interrogation tactics and the tactical interrogation procedures from the point of view of criminal law, criminalistics and psychology. The thesis is divided into five separate chapters. The first chapter is conceived from the point of view of criminal law. First chapter deals with the regulation of interrogation in the Czech Criminal Procedure Code and with the rights and obligations of the interrogated persons. The second and third chapters are the focus of this diploma thesis. Chapters deal with the preparation of the interrogation, the phases of the interrogation, the inquiries asked during the interrogation and the tactical interrogation procedures. My intention is to demonstrate how to perform tactical procedures correctly and legally. The aim of my thesis is testing of selected negotiation tactics and methods on selected tenders in purchasing department in Škoda Auto a.s. The result is discovering the optimal strategy for specific price negotiations and introduction of their pros and cons. The second aim of my thesis is optimization of purchasing process and recommendation of suggestions for improvement.

Interrogation Tactics The aim of my diploma thesis is to provide an overview of methods of interrogation. The topic Interrogation Tactics is very broad, so I am especially focusing on the use of tactical procedures in a situation when the person is not willing to testify truthfully. The thesis is split into 5 key chapters, each of those attempts to summarize the most essential issues within the relevant field. The first part of this work outlines general aspects and also analyzes problems of examination and statement. This chapter introduces characteristics, definition and representation of interrogation and its legal background. Complete concept of the most common kinds of examinations are also described here. In order to satisfy the objective of examination, i.e. to get knowledge of relevant facts, thorough and accurate preparation is necessary. Otherwise the examination may not fulfill its task successfully. I focus on that in the second part of this thesis. In the third chapter called "Interrogation Tactics" I concentrate on the actual practice of interrogation tactics. Attention is paid to the general construction of questioning, i.e. its consecutive phases, and various individual situations that may occur during the interrogation are also discussed. Magistro darbo tikslai - sistemiškai pažvelgti į kultūros įtaką derybų strategijai ir taktikai, išsiaiškinti, ar kultūros poveikį derybų eigai įmanoma pagrįstai išmatuoti ir aprašyti, o šiomis žiniomis vienareikšmiškai naudotis prognozuojant ir analizuojant šį santykį. Pagrindiniai darbo uždaviniai: išanalizavus mokslinę literatūrą atrasti sistemišką analizę įgalinančius požiūrius; aprašyti, kokie kultūriniai požymiai ir veiksniai įtakoja tarptautinių derybų strategiją ir taktiką bei kaip jie pasireiškia derybų eigoje; nustatyti, kiek kultūros įtakos sistematizavimas yra validus analizuojant derybinę patirtį; lyginant teorines žinias su derybų praktika išsiaiškinti, ar ir kokios išankstinės žinios apie kultūrą gali būti patikimas informacijos šaltinis ruošiantis tarptautinėms deryboms ir kaip jos gali būti panaudotos; išanalizuoti, kaip kultūros įtaką pasirenkant derybų strategiją ir taktiką galima pasverti kitų veiksnių kontekste. However, knowing the language and having a possibility to communicate is by far not sufficient means for effective and productive communication, as many people note. International negotiations is one form of social interaction that causes all the same or even greater problems for negotiators, as difficulties frequently arise because of various misunderstandings and miscommunication. Therefore, it is essential to have at least basic knowledge of culture and intercultural communication in order to be prepared and to avoid problematic situations. Norint pasiekti gerą barjerinio bėgimo rezultatą, būtinas geras sprinterinis sportininkių pasirengimas ir puiki speciali greitumo ištvermė (Karoblis ir Ambrazienė, 1985). Šis darbas paaiškina kaip kintant sportiniam meistriškumui keičiasi bėgimo taktika, barjerų įveikimo technika ir fizinis parsirengimas sezono eigoje. Keliame hipotezę, kad gerėjant sportinei formai pagerės paskutinės 100 metrų atkarpos įveikimo greitis, o pasirinkta 400 m barjerinio bėgimo taktika Lietuvos ir pasaulio bėgikių nesiskirs. Tyrimo tikslas: Išanalizuoti 400 m barjerinio bėgimo taktiką. Uždaviniai: 1) Išanalizuoti K. J. 400 m b/b rezultatų ir barjerų tarpų įveikimo kaitą varžybiniame periode. 2) Nustatyti Lietuvos ir pasaulio 400 m b/b atstovių nuotolio įveikimo taktiką. Tyrimo metodika ir organizavimas. Tiriamieji: Lietuvos 400 m b/b atstovė Kristina Jasinskaitė (amžius – 21 m; ūgis – 174 cm; svoris – 62 kg: geriausias asmeninis rezultatas – 60,50 s) ir šešios pasaulio elito barjerininkės (amžius – 27,83 ± 3,37 m; ūgis – 173 ± 6,63 cm; svoris – 63,67 ± 7,63 kg; geriausias asmeninis rezultatas – 52,98 ± 0,68 s). Buvo analizuojama varžybų filmuota medžiaga: nustatomas barjerų tarpų įveikimo laikas ir atliktų žingsnių skaičius. Our hypothesis is, that improving the sporting shape, the last 100 metres speed will improve, but the choosen tactic of 400 m running will be the same by Lithuanian and world hurdles runners. This paper deals with interrogation tactics. Using the descriptive-analytical and comparative methods, the aim of this thesis is to analyze the interviewing and the interrogation tactics in the Czech Republic. In some parts of my thesis, these tactics are compared with foreign approaches (particularly the United States and the United Kingdom). The work is continuously connected with the practice through examples from the real interrogation protocols. These interrogations which are in anonymous form anonymous form have been provided by the National Anti-Organized Crime Center and come from a five-year old investigation of an organized group that has committed, especially abroad, crimes against life and health. The purpose of my thesis is to explore and discuss interrogation tactics. Interrogation tactics is a concept that includes various methods used by interrogators to reach the goal of the interrogation, which is true and full testimony. Considering the extent of the topic, I am focusing more closely on the techniques used for the purpose of overcoming false testimony. The thesis is composed of nine chapters. In the opening chapters I explain the concept of interrogation from three perspectives - from the perspective of criminology, psychology and law. These chapters also describe different types of interrogation, as well as the process of documentation and the process of formation of testimony. The fifth chapter recognizes the issues of the preparation phase and its division into analytic and synthetic part. In this chapter I also emphasize the importance of expert and thorough preparation in order to ensure a successful interrogation. The sixth chapter presents three consecutive phases of interrogation, which are the initial phase and the phases of monologue and dialogue. This is the construction of interrogation that affects individual tactical methods. 1 Die Kurzfassung Diese Diplomarbeit befasst sich mit der Taktik der Überwindung der erlogenen Aussage bei der Vernehmung. Sie konzertiert sich in diesem Kontext auf ein Paar Themen, die unmittelbar vernehmende sind. Besonders handelt es sich um die Vorbereitung und den Verlauf der Vernehmung. Die Diplomarbeit befasst sich auch mit den Personen, die die andere vernehmen, oder die vernehmen wird. Bei den vernehmenden Personen konzentriert sich die Diplomarbeit hauptsächlich auf die Beschuldigte und die Zeugen, bei denen ein hohes Risiko sein kann, dass sie mit einer potenziellen Motivation lügenhaft aussagen können. Das Ziel der Arbeit ist, den Querschnitt durch die bisherigen Erkenntnisse über die erlogene Aussage bei der Vernehmung zu machen. Besonders wenn es sich um die Indikatoren und die nachfolgende Methodik handelt, die eine Anleitung sein können, um eine erlogene Aussage bei den konkreten Typen der Menschen zu überwinden. Am Schluss der Arbeit wird es sich auch mit physischdetektiven Untersuchungen befasst. Ein Teil der Arbeit sind auch die Ergebnisse der gegenwärtigen polizeilichen Praxis.
