Foi proposto um estudo de natureza quali-quantitativa, com o intuito de investigar as percepções de cirurgiões-dentistas, agentes comunitários de saúde e enfermeiros a respeito da integração entre a equipe de saúde bucal (ESB) e os outros integrantes da equipe de saúde da família (ESF), sob a ótica de uma atuação interdisciplinar, procurando identificar as dificuldades e limitações no processo de trabalho. Foram selecionadas doze unidades de saúde da família no município de Piracicaba, SP, que possuíam ESB instaladas, totalizando uma amostra de 60 indivíduos. A coleta de dados foi realizada por meio de entrevista individual seguindo um roteiro semi-estruturado, específico para cada categoria profissional. A análise dos dados foi realizada por meio de uma análise descritiva para as questões fechadas e as questões abertas foram analisadas pela teoria do Discurso do Sujeito Coletivo (DSC). Os discursos revelaram que a maioria dos profissionais possui uma concepção teórica adequada sobre a definição do trabalho em equipe, no entanto, apesar de relatarem a existência de integração na atuação entre a ESB e os outros integrantes da ESF, observou-se nos depoimentos dificuldades e limitações neste processo. Dentre os problemas identificados estão a deficiência na capacitação dos membros da equipe, em especial dos ACS, a falta de comunicação, a dificuldade na integração das ações entre ESB e demais componentes da ESF, principalmente na atuação em atividades coletivas e a deficiência na formação dos profissionais da área da saúde para atuar na Estratégia Saúde da Família. As limitações no processo de trabalho em equipe são obstáculos para a consolidação do SUS na busca por uma atenção integral e humanizada, tornando cada componente da equipe peça essencial na mudança das práticas em saúde baseado em uma atuação interdisciplinar / Abstract: Teamwork is considered essential for the functioning of the Family Health Strategy in the search for a comprehensive and resolute approach, however, it runs against obstacles that result in disarticulation of the work process, causing fragmentation and discontinuity of care actions. It was proposed a study of qualitative and quantitative nature in order to investigate the perceptions of dentists, community health workers and nurses regarding the integration of oral health team (OHT) and the other members of the family health team (FHT), from the perspective of an interdisciplinary approach, seeking to identify the difficulties and limitations in the work process. We selected twelve units of family health in Piracicaba, SP, who owned ESB installed, resulting in a sample of 60 individuals. Data collection was conducted through individual interviews using a semi-structured script, specific to each professional category. Data analysis was performed by means of a descriptive analysis of the closed questions and the open questions were analyzed by the theory of the Collective Subject Discourse (CSD). The speeches revealed that most professionals has a theoretical conception of the proper definition of teamwork, however, despite reporting the existence of integration in performance between the OHT and the other members of the FHT, was observed in the testimonies difficulties and limitations in this process. Among the problems identified are the deficiency in training the team members, especially the community health workers, lack of communication, difficulty in integration of actions between OHT and FHT, specially on the performance in group activities and deficiency in the background of health professionals to work in the Family Health Strategy. Exploring the Roles of English: English as a Lingua Franca in Master's Programmes at WU Vienna University of Economics and Business

Europe's largest business university, WU sees offering master's programmes in English as a means to stay competitive. This paper highlights the roles of English and other languages at a strategic level in the university as well as in intercultural student teams. The data is taken from a multi-modal research project investigating students' language and interaction in teamwork on English-medium programmes. The results show that students use English as the medium of communication in and out of class and for discussing task-related topics, while they use other languages for socialisation purposes and to develop a sense of community. Employee selection processes for team oriented work environments

Teams have become the strategy of choice when the volume of work or task complexity exceeds the capacity of an individual. Therefore the ability for individuals to work in teams is vital in the modern workplace. Consequently a critical lever in facilitating performance of teams is the selection process used to set up teams or bring on board new team members. Teamwork and employee selection have been separately researched. No studies have examined why selection processes have not adapted to include a more formal approach to selection for teams. The information obtained from the literature served as the basis for construction of an a priori model for this study. This model shows the general approach used when selecting individuals through assessing alignment of skills and values, and it was used as a discussion framework during twenty expert interviews. The evaluation of the primary data allowed for validation and extension, for the creation of a more robust a posteriori model. The strategies and practices highlighted by this evaluation have been integrated into a model which can be used for assessing whether organisation specific selection processes are adequate for constructing teams that assist in building competitive advantage. Integer optimisation for the selection of a fantasy league cricket team

Sports fans often scrutinise the team selection strategies employed by their favourite team's coach or selection panel. Many of these fans believe that they can perform the selection process far better than those tasked with the responsibility. Fantasy leagues, provide a platform for fans to test their hand at this selection procedure. Twenty20 cricket is a new and exciting form of cricket and has become very popular in recent years. This research focuses on bringing these concepts together by proposing a binary integer program to determine a team selection strategy for fantasy league cricket. This is done in a Twenty20 setting. The approach used in this study focuses on evaluating the effectiveness of previously developed performance measures in a fantasy league setting. Adjustments to these measures are made and new measures are proposed. These measures are then used to select a fantasy league team using a prospective approach. This is done to provide fantasy league participants with a mathematical procedure for fantasy league team selection.

Understanding Feelings of Inclusion In Making and Engineering

The maker movement is a growing social phenomenon that is being embraced in various fields, including education. There are many advantages to incorporating making into education, especially in engineering design, such as supporting real-life application of knowledge, multidisciplinary collaboration, problem-solving and teamwork. Elements that have not been looked at in the literature are the impacts of these making elements on students, more specifically on their feelings of inclusion in making and engineering environments. The extent of the impacts of making on project outcomes and teamwork in project-based learning engineering design courses are also contested. This thesis fills those research gaps by exploring students’ feelings and behaviours in a university makerspace and cornerstone engineering design courses. The general objectives are to study the effects of the makerspace as well as team dynamics and personality traits on student perception and behaviour in the Faculty of Engineering, specifically in cornerstone engineering design courses. This will be achieved by exploring factors that lead to feelings of inclusion in making and engineering, identify reasons students participate in these communities and exploring factors that influence team performance in a project-based engineering design course. Three studies are then conducted to meet these objectives. The first study found that in both the making and engineering contexts, connecting with the identity, participation and distinctiveness were identified as themes that provide reasons for feeling or not feeling included. Sustained involvement was identified as being an important factor in leading to increased feelings of inclusion. The second study found a difference between men and women, where the adjusted project grade for male students can be in part explained by some personality traits, but no traits were found to be significant for female students. The average team conscientiousness was also found to be a predictor of the team project grade. The last study found that the course has an equalizing effect on feelings of inclusion for students in engineering. Making seems to have the same effect as engineering for male students; however, not for females. Adjusted project grade was also found to be a significant predictor of the change in scores for all students’ feelings of inclusion in making and for the female students’ feelings of inclusion in engineering.

Syftet med studien är att dels beskriva den studerade partnerskolans organisation i allmänhet, inklusive arbetslagen i synnerhet, dels analysera densamma. Målsättningen är att studien ska leda till organisationsmässiga förbättringsförslag som i sin tur kan bidra positivt till skolutvecklingen.I denna studie har intervjuer, enkäter och dagboksmetod använts. För att förstå hur främst lärarna och i viss mån ledningen och elever upplever och ser på organisationen, inkl arbetslagen, har relevant litteratur studerats för att kunna jämföra verkligheten med teorin och se om det går att hitta belägg/förklaringsorsaker för olika synsätt på organisationen.Resultaten pekar på ett missnöje med hela organisationen och ledningen från lärarna. De anser att organisationen är alltför byråkratisk och att de känner sig ”överkörda” genom att inte ha fått möjlighet att få vara med och påverka beslut. De anser att ledningen inte är tillräckligt lyhörd och att den inte är nog demokratisk och närvarande. I studien ges förbättringsförslag till skolans organisation inom följande områden: målsättningar och visioner, företagskultur, motivation, ledning och ledarskap, förändringsarbete och arbetslag.Nyckelord: arbetslag, demokrati, organisation och skolutveckling. / The purpose of this essay is to describe the organisation of a Swedish school, including a form of organisation called "Arbetslag" in Swedish, somewhat comparable with the english word "Teamwork". The aim is to be able to come up with ideas of improvement for the school´s organisation and development.Different methods have been used, such as interviews, questionnaires and diary-notes. Relevant litterature has been used to be able to compare theory with reality.The result indicates that the teachers are dissatisfied with the school´s organisation and the management of the school.The teachers feel that they have too little influence, that the organisation is too bureaucratic and that the management isn´t enough democratic.In the end of this essay you can find suggested areas of improvement for the school´s organisation within the following fields: goals and visions, company culture, motivation, management and leadership, working with changes within the organisation and teamwork.
