Technological development, broad availability and ubiquity of mobile phones made it possible in recent years to start a progression leading to the integration of mobile phones into biomedical analytical methods, the development of telemedicine and mobile personal health applications. This paper deals with the literature review of the mobile phone usage in biomedicine, with emphasis on the methods of optical analysis and technical solutions using 3D printing technology. It provides a draft and practical implementation of salivary cortiol level measuring system using a mobile phone, ELISA analytical methods, 3D printing technology and a set of custom Matlab functions connected with Matlab Mobile application and Mathworks Cloud. Also provides critical evaluation of results and method possibilities, and presents set of proposals and findings for quality of measurment optimization.

Background: Tobacco use is one of the key problems that public health has to face. Tobacco smoking is among the main causes of morbidity and preventable mortality that can be effectively avoided. The eHealth approach uses information and communication technologies to improve the quality of health and healthcare. EHealth interventions delivered through technologies and the Internet are an effective therapeutic tool which contributes to behaviour change, including smoking cessation. This paper presents the results of continuous research on fully automated online eHealth intervention for smoking cessation. Aims: The main objective of this study was to identify the effect of the form of reminders (SMS vs. email) in eHealth smoking cessation intervention using the Endre eHealth program in the population of Czech tobacco smokers. Materials and methods: This research consists of two studies. First, a pilot study on user- acceptance of eHealth intervention was performed in a sample involving 30 respondents. This was followed by a randomized two-arm controlled study comparing the effect of a predictor in the form of eHealth intervention reminders for smoking cessation. This thesis deals with Google Android platform, augmented reality and the ARToolKit library. An application demonstrating augmented reality for Google Android was designed and implemented in this thesis.

This paper deals with image and video processing on Symbian OS smartphones. Description of required development tools is given, and pros and cons of existing image processing applications are discussed. Afterwards, a new application, fast image viewer and editor, is designed keeping disadvantages of similar applications in mind. Purpose of this work is to make simple and fast tool for easy manipulation with integrated camera and captured images. Results and future development directions are at the end.

The subject of this autoethnography is the self-reflection of my own media experience, which I experience daily with a smartphone. The aim of the work is to discover my intimate and individual media experience with the most used technology and to see how this professional self-reflection can lead to the development of media literacy. Current times and society are changing ever more rapidly due to technological developments, which is why we need to adapt to these changes individually throughout our lives. The first part of the thesis thus describes theoretical basis concerning media literacy and self-reflection in the context of post-modern times, the current approach to media education, the concept of dynamic lifelong learning and the new, transformative competences needed for a happy life in the 21st century. The second part of the thesis explains the qualitative methodological process of autoethnography and data collection, which took place over six months through a self-reflective journal. The final part of the work uncovers thematic categories gained from the data set, in which I deconstructed that a smartphone means for me above all security, health, ambivalence, self-fulfilment, but overall the satisfaction of these needs. Bakgrund: Suicid är ett folkhälsoproblem som är utbrett över hela världen som skulle kunna förebyggas. Trots en pågående vård förhindrar inte det personen från att begå suicid. För att skapa en återhämtningsinriktad riskbedömning behöver vårdaren se patientens individuella möjligheter samt främja engagemang och meningsfullhet. Syfte: Att beskriva sjuksköterskors upplevelser av att bedöma suicidrisk via telefon i den psykiatriska öppenvården. Metod: Totalt nio arbetande sjuksköterskor inom den psykiatriska öppenvården intervjuades med stöd utav semistrukturerade frågor. Analysen skedde utifrån en kvalitativ innehållsanalys med en induktiv ansats. Resultat: Analysen resulterade i ett tema och fem kategorier. Tema: Att kunna se helheten. Kategorier: Att det hör till vardagen, Att det är en svår men viktig arbetsuppgift, Att bemötandet och relationen är avgörande, Att bedömningsverktyg kan vara ett stöd eller en risk och Att vilja friskriva sig ansvaret och inte bära alla känslor själv. Slutsats: Sjuksköterskor behöver tid till att möta den individuella patienten då det inte handlar om något som är “svart” eller “vitt” i en bedömning. Tidsbristen kan leda till att sjuksköterskor inte identifierar omvårdnadsåtgärder utifrån patientens individuella behov och istället lutar sig tillbaka mot den standard som finns. Vilket kan påverka möjligheten negativt till att arbeta utifrån en personcentrerad vård. Sjuksköterskor upplevde också en otrygghet när utbildning och reflektionsmöjligheter saknades. Dessa behov behöver tillgodoses av verksamheten då ökad kunskap bidrar till en trygghet. Vad gäller suicid så måste sjuksköterskor arbeta proaktivt om de ska sträva efter en nollvision.

The goal of my thesis was to characterize using of mobile phones and particular phases of purchasing decision-making process during a mobile phone buying in the czech market and pursuant to this define some marketing recommendations for producers of these devices. I have also verified or defeated hypotheses defined by me. I have used the information gained by secondary research and method of questioning and I have written the results down in the charts or graphs. Then I have summarized chosen findings and suggested recommendations.

Main topic of the Master's Thesis is mobile marketing in Czech Republic and the goal is to describe development of mobile devices, provided services and usage in marketing and marketing communication. Theoretical part is concerning development of the mobile devices and services where each topic is followed by a case study. Practical part contains quantitative and qualitative research. Quantitative on-line based research was conducted on sample of 100 deliberately chosen users. Main goal of this research was evaluation of average user experience with mobile marketing. Qualitative research was conducted by guided discussion with experts in the area of mobile marketing. Main goal of the research was assess actual scope of the use by marketers in context of the situation on the Czech market and discuss future development of this area.
