Tillbudsrapportering inom JM : En analys av förbättringsarbetet / Incident reporting within JM

Laine, Robin January 2013 (has links)
The construction business is one of the most accident prone businesses in Sweden. In order to make it safer it’s vital that all employees of a company report all accidents and incidents that occur. This report intends through qualitative interviews, to analyze the knowledge and attitude towards incident reporting among the employees of the Swedish construction contractor JM. The goal of the thesis work is to hopefully contribute to an increase of employees’ awareness on those issues. This report also intends to analyze why not all of the occurring incidents are reported and which measures can be taken in order to increase the number of reported incidents. The study shows that the knowledge towards incidents and accidents is diverse among all employees. Many employees are having difficulties defining what incidents are to be reported and many craftsmen don’t know how and why they should report an incident. The major differences are on the one hand between craftsmen and white-collar workers, and on the other hand between senior employees and new recruits. In order to increase the number of reported incidents, JM can introduce incident report pads to be carried by their employees at all time. They can also continue educating their employees in why it’s important to report all incidents and how to complete a report.

En kvantitativ studie av säkerhetsklimatet i byggbranschen

Dysenius, Caroline, Persson, Linnéa Persson January 2016 (has links)

Ekstrand, Robin, Hägg, Axel January 2014 (has links)
The construction industry stands as one of the industries in Sweden where most employees tend to encounter accidents. At the same time, the Swedish authority of work environment estimates that there are large numbers of hidden statistics with accidents and incidents that never gets reported. To prevent accidents, the Swedish authority of work environment has decided that every company have to, beside report every accident and major incident to the authority of work environment, keep statistics and evaluate every incident that happens at their places of work. The people responsible for work environment at the Swedish building contractor Peab, believe that it is only a fraction of all incidents happening at their construction sites that actually gets reported. The purpose of this study is to investigate the reason why employees of Peab do not report incidents. By an inquiry and interviews with both craftsmen and office holders at Peab Bygg Öst 1, the employees’ attitudes and knowledge have been studied and evaluated. The study shows that the craftsmen´s knowledge of incidents is relatively low. At the same time, many of the craftsmen think that the reporting of incidents steal too much time and focus from the production. The ending part of the report shows suggestions of how Peab can increase the craftsmen´s awareness and interest in reporting incidents. The most important thing is to educate all employees regularly about incidents and the purpose of reporting. Incidents should also become a standard part of the weekly meetings.

Tillbudsrapportering på gymnasieskolans yrkesförberedande program / Incident reports in the vocational programs of the upper secondary school

Carlsson, Göran, Walter, Jan January 2009 (has links)

ARBETSMILJÖ OCH OLYCKOR I BYGGBRANSCHEN / WORK ENVIRONMENT ANDACCIDENTS IN THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRI

HÖRNFELDT NORDSTRÖM, FREDRIK, MIHHAILOV, ILJA January 2014 (has links)
The construction industry accounted for 19 % of all work-related fatalities in Sweden between 2010 and 2013. The exam report has been done to find out what underlying causes there are to the high number of fatalities and to the occupational statistics of the construction industry. Moreover it has been reviewed what improvements can be done to reduce accidents and fatalities in the construction industry. The report consists of a survey of statistics, laws and regulations affecting the work environment and of literature concerning the subject. It has been conducted an interview and a questionnaire survey at the construction company Asplunds Bygg and an interview with an inspector from the Work Environment Authority. The interviews thus captured two perspectives on working environment, to give a better understanding of how the construction industry works with the work environment. The authors draw a broad conclusion that the production rate in the construction industry must be reduced to a healthy level to accommodate a work environment with reduced stress and carelessness, which in turn would reduce the number of accidents. This could be achieved by removing the chord wages. It must also be made organizational improvements where craftsmen are better informed about the work environment plan, risks, and procedures relating to specific construction sites.

Berglund, Lydia January 2020 (has links)
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate how the attitude to close call reporting around construction workers and officials. Method: Through a survey to constructions workers and interviews with officials, the attitude and knowledge about close call reporting have been compiled and evaluated. Results: The survey showed that the knowledge about the purpose of why close calls should be reported is missing at many construction workers and that many of them lack knowledge of what a close call stands for. The survey and interviews also showed that close call reporting is not prioritized because of attitude and lack of time. Conclusions: To improve incident reporting, the supervisory staff has to ensure that skilled workers know what close calls are. The main contractor should either require that all subcontractors have the knowledge about close calls when they start in the workplace or that this is reviewed at enrollment. This requires clearer enrollments in the projects and to maintain the reporting, more commitment from the management is required.
