Mediante o uso da história oral, foram incorporadas à análise sociológica, além das falas dos trabalhadores em idade produtiva, as percepções e representações de duas gerações (issei e nissei) de mulheres idosas de famílias nipo-brasileiras, além do relato de um início entrevistado idoso. As análises dos relatos orais, ordenadas segundo as estações do ano, permitiram conhecer os condicionantes históricos e a imagem mito do retorno oculta-se uma realidade de intensa exploração e desenraizamento. Nesse contexto, a memória e a identidade articulam-se dialeticamente à formulação de um reenzaimento, um projeto alternativo ao caminho proposto pela ordem neoliberal. / Through the reconstruction of the broken memory wires, this study searches to enlarge the understanding of the invisible motivation that goes beyond the emigration of the so called dekassegui workers to Japan. By the use of oral history, not only the speech of active workers, but also the perceptions and representations of two generations (issei and nissei) of elderly women from Japanese Brazilian families, apart from the account of a single elderly man who was interviewed, were incorporated to the sociological analysis. The analyses of the oral accounts, ordered according to the season, allowed the historical conditions and the idealized image, that structure the departure of nikkei workers to their ancestors' country. Behind the myth of return hides a rootles reality of intense exploration. In this context, memory and identify work together dialectically to formulate a new project that allows these people to take root, as an alternative to the way proposed by the neoliberal order.

O recorte utilizado foram os dekassegui com escolaridade superior, do Estado São Paulo. A questão está inserida dentro do aparato teórico das migrações intenacionais recentes. Os conceitos foram discutidos de acordo com o trabalho realizado. Foi utilizado na pesquisa o método da história oral, com o uso da técnica de entrevistas.Com os resultados, foi possível perceber que há motivos, além dos econômicos, que não costumam ser considerados na literatura a respeito do assunto. Estas constatações se devem, provavelmente, à especificidade do grupo estudado. Ao contrário de estudos anteriores que tendem a centrar as motivações nos aspectos fmanceiros, esta pesquisa mostrou que há outros fatores explicativos / Abstract: The aim of this research is to investigate about hopes and motivations of the nipo-brasilians imigrants in Japan. The group estudied in the work was dekassegui with high school graduation. The problem are inserted in the theme of the new intemational migrations.
