Élaboration de polymères nanocomposites transparents : relations structure/propriétés / Preparation of polycarbonate transparent nanocomposites : structure/properties relationships

Boucher, Virginie 09 December 2008 (has links)
This study deals with the preparation of transparent polycarbonate nanocomposites for industrial applications such as optical lenses or automotive glazing. Incorporating nanoparticles to polycarbonate matrix aimed to improve some of its properties such as stiffness, dimensional stability, or scratch resistance, while maintaining intrinsic properties such as its transparency. Polycarbonate nanocomposites transparency depends on one hand on mineral partic/es diameter and refractive index, and on the other hand on the good dispersion of particles in polymer matrix. Therefore, different types of mineral fillers were selected and incorporated in polycarbonate matrix. The evaluation of mechanical and optical properties of these nanocomposites permitted not only to refine particles selection, but also to highlight polycarbonate degradation during compounding with nanofillers. ln order to optimize materials performances, a thorough study of degradation mechanisms was carried out, and the nanocomposites preparation process was modified so as to Iimit polycarbonate degradation in presence of mineral fillers. Lastly, in a more general framework, the reinforcement mechanisms involved in nanocomposite materials were investigated, and showed the existence of correlations between materials structure and properties, and the effect of mineral fi/lers on polycarbonate molecular dynamics.

Lexical Collocation Errors in English Produced by Czech Learners of English

ŽEMLIČKOVÁ, Radka January 2015 (has links)
This diploma thesis is focused on collocations, i.e. repeatedly occurring combinations of lexical items. Main emphasis is put on lexical collocations produced incorrectly by Czech learners of English. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with various definitions describing this lexical phenomenon and with classification of collocations. A brief mention of the attitude to teaching collocations at schools is made, too. In the practical part, 200 collocations gathered from essays written by L2 learners of Czech secondary grammar schools are analysed as for a type of a restriction, semantic transparency and a part of speech. With erroneously produced collocation, an attempt to explain the cause leading to error is made and the correct combination or its closest equivalent is adduced. The results are presented in tables.

To govern or to be governed ? : The proxy advisor, a corporate governance actor in the making / Gouverner ou être gouverné ?

Lambert, Damien 14 June 2017 (has links)
The dissertation investigates the emergence and the structuration of the proxy advisory industry at a transnational level, from the construction of the field of governance (Chapter 1) to the (self)-governance of the proxy 43 advisor (Chapter 2) and ultimately to the (corporate) governance in action (Chapter 3). The general conclusion wraps-up the main contributions of the dissertation, discusses the potential limitations of this research and suggests avenues for future research.

Právo na informace / The right to information

Strava, Ondřej January 2014 (has links)
The text deals with the question of defining what exactly right to information is. As the public debate concerning different institutes of the right to information and transparency goes on intensively and extensively in the Czech republic as well as worldwide, it has become the aim of the author to search for the roots of the right, of both its restrictive and extensive scope and its guiding principles. Such a research should be useful for the interpretation and the aplication of the relevant law and serve as a guide for the proper understanding of the rights' social and legal importance. The first part of the text after the introduction describes the term of the right to information, it's evolution in history, philosophical, political and legal basis and contemporary meaning. The following chapter concerns itself with the material sources of the right, i. e. the reason and meaning of the existence of the right. It explains the rights' commonly recognized width and depth and its liberal and conservative tendencies reaching from the current events into the even more informational based future. The conflict of the right with the other interests of modern society is covered and the different formal sources of the right are listed demonstratively. The third chapter examines the universally acknowledged...

La transparence dans les marchés publics au Maroc : apports des réformes récentes de la réglementation, de la justice administrative et pistes de réflexion pour l'émergence d'une meilleure gouvernance des achats publics au Maroc / Transparency in public procurement in Morocco : contributions of the recent reforms of the regulations, the administrative justice, and ideas for further reflections towards the emergence of a better governance of public purchases in Morocco

Chakor, Abdallah 05 September 2014 (has links)
Transparency in public procurement management is increasingly needed due to the growth of public expenditure. The mechanisms put in place to safeguard the principles of transparency and ethics are to be constantly refined. In Morocco, according to the official discourse, the country has decided to adopt the international standards of transparency in public procurement; insofar it constitutes the framework of the public action. Hence, it has undergone several reforms.Accordingly, it is within this context that our specific choice to study this subject emanates from.It is therefore important to understand the complexity and challenges of transparency in the management of public procurement.Public procurement is probably one of the areas where regulation is strongly binding. This regulation oversees, more likely than elsewhere, all the actors' behaviours and management practices.Indeed, the dominant logic in the purchasing function is a logic of legal security that overshadows the search for efficiency and economic performance.Throughout our work, we have tried, firstly, to highlight the progress of legislative reform and the contribution of administrative justice in promoting transparency in public procurement in Morocco. A comparison to other regulations seemed useful to inform us of any gaps and was an opportunity to learn from the experiences of the so-considered developed countries.Secondly, we tried to propose exploring the major problems that hinder the promotion of transparency in public procurement in particular and ethics in management of public life in general.

Amélioration de la transparence et du contrôle par l'utilisateur dans les réseaux mobiles / Improving transparency and end-user control in mobile

Rao, Ashwin 19 December 2013 (has links)
Mobile devices are increasingly becoming the primary device to access the Internet. Despite this thriving popularity, the current mobile ecosystem is largely opaque because of the vested monetary interests of its key players: mobile OS providers, creators of mobile applications, stores for mobile applications and media content, and ISPs. This problem of opaqueness is further aggravated by the limited control end-users have over the information exchanged by their mobile devices. To address this problem of opaqueness and lack of control, we create a user-centric platform, Meddle, that uses traffic indirection to diagnose mobile devices. Compared to an on-device solution, Meddle uses two well-known technologies, VPNs and middleboxes, and combines them to provide an OS, ISP, and access technology agnositic solution. We use Meddle for controlled experiments and an IRB approved study, and ob- served that popular iOS and Android applications leak personally identifiable information in the clear and also over SSL. We then use Meddle to prevent further leaks. We also use our platform to detail the network characteristics of video streaming services, the most popular Web-service in the current Internet. We observe that the network traffic characteristics vary vastly with the device (mobile or desktop), application (native applications and also between individual desktop browsers), and container (HTML5, Flash, and Silverlight). This observation is important because the increased adoption of one application or streaming service could have a significant impact on the network traffic, for example, an increase in the usage of mobile applications.

La fenêtre du journalisme : une perspective historique

Gómez, Nadine January 2009 (has links) (PDF)

Le principe d'ouverture en droit de l'Union Européenne : Contribution à l'étude de l'influence des citoyens dans la prise de décision européenne / The principle of openess in European law : contribution to the study of the influence of the citizens in the European decision-making

Berthier Demonfort, Sophie 04 May 2016 (has links)
The principle of openness, mentioned in the first article of the Treaty on the European Union acts as a foundation of a global research into the interaction between taking decisions and the citizens of Europe. This approach is motivated by a willingness to improve the legitimacy of European policy. However, it should be distinguished from the democratic principal of law within the Union, in that it does not attempt to reinforce the status of European citizens within the European political regime, but attempts only to offer them possibilities of influencing the core of such decisions. The possibilities of influence are constantly looked at in depth, through reorganizing such principles as transparency and participation, and by the installation of mechanisms of dialogue through consultation, the right to petitions, the right to use a mediator or even create citizens initiatives. The study tries to measure the degree of influence that European citizens have on decision making, and to compare them to the objectives of the principle of openness
