Technical upgrade of an audio-mixer control

Jacobsson, Trond January 2006 (has links)
Today the Sjöbjörn studio has a mixing console controlled by a PC with outdated software and hardware technology. The hardware requires an ISA-bus to work at all and thereby limits the upgrades that can be made to the computer. The software runs in a DOS environment and has not been updated for a long time as well. This makes working with the mixing console more difficult then it has to be and new features are hard to implement. In this thesis I have developed new hardware so that a more powerful computer can be used which hopefully will allow for a more user friendly interface and make it easier for future upgrades and additions. The thesis presents a solution on how to upgrade the system all the way from the PCcommunication to the hardware designs. The project was based around the Microchip PIC18F4550 microcontroller for the hardware and the Visual Basic.NET programming language for the PC software.

Hodnocení zdrojů entropie v běžných počítačích / Evaluation of entropy sources in common computers

Bafrnec, Matúš January 2020 (has links)
This thesis is focused on entropy sources and their evaluation. It includes a brief introduction to the information theory, description of entropy sources, their parameters and characteristics and methods of evaluation based on the NIST organisation standard SP 800-90B. The following part of the thesis is dedicated to the description of two created programs and evaluation and comparison of entropy sources. Additionally, the last part describes the usage of hash functions in association with entropy sources.

Výukový model pro mechatroniku: vývoj modelu a rychlé komunikace pomocí USB / Educating model for mechatronics: model development and fast USB communication

Formánek, Martin January 2020 (has links)
Druhá časť je venovaná hardwaru zariadenia, medzi čo patrí voľba vhodného motoru, návrh vhodných elektronických komponentov, návrh dosiek plošných spojov a taktiež mechanickej konštrukcie celého zariadenia. Kombinácia navrhnutých hardwarových a softwarových prvkov umožňuje jednoduchú cestu k zlepšeniu vedomostí študentov v oblastiach programovania, riadenia a modelovaní sústav. Pre tieto účely je práca rozšírená o pracovný list, ktorý dopĺňa navrhnuté zariadenie o sadu experimentálnych úloh, zameraných na vybrané mechatronické problémy.

FSK modem s implementací protokolu AX.25 / FSK modem with AX.25 protocol

Vojtek, Michal January 2011 (has links)
The purpose of this thesis is to design FSK modem for Packet communication. In accordance with accessible literature was constructed functioning circuit schema and subsequently there was constructed a motherboard which is mainly assembled from SMD technology. It makes this modem mobile and very easy usable in terrain. Modem communicates with PC via USB bus. Also this bus is used as power source for this device. Communication between modem and PC is realized by KISS protocol and connection with tranciever is realized by AX.25 protocol.

Signálový a datový logger / Signal and data logger

Borsányi, Tamás January 2014 (has links)
The goal of this project is to design a signal and data logger, which captures analog and digital signals with very long record time. The device supports multichannel complex triggering, a real-time oscilloscope-like mode and an offline mode for analyzing of previously sampled data. This project contains detailed analysis of the topic, description of hardware and software solutions and used methods. The thesis also contains verification tests and measurements. This device will be mainly used for hardware debugging of microprocessor based applications.
